That narrator is something else XD

Talk about a first impression on the phone :)
Medinoc
lol both of you. :)
BonsaiForest
I should try answering all my phone calls that way.

Wow, as far as introductions to a fantasy world go, this one was pretty fast. Too fast, it feels.

Also, props for the videogame comment.
Medinoc
The dialogue is choppy. The sentences are too short. Few talk that way.

As such, I found the old-school video game intro comparison quite amusing and on the mark.
Valiona
...Dude.

That must be some good acid that writer's on. XD
Knowlessman
Damn, expected a Fantasy kingdom, and got laser sci-fi instead.
Medinoc
Amazing Technicolor...world?

Syrika
I'm having trouble with the story genre. It's not even Science Fantasy, but more "fantasy with a lot, but not all, of the magic replaced with sci-fi". And to me, it hits some kind of uncanny valley in the sci-fi/fantasy scale.
Medinoc
It's really weird. Like I said, it's out there. But it'll get stranger yet!
BonsaiForest
Well this chapter sounds mostly... normal.
Medinoc
Note: According to Wikipedia, "French door" is a technical term for some specific kind of door.
Medinoc
Oh, and comments are broken now.
Medinoc
I like this kind of cuts. Maybe I ve watched too many movies...
Medinoc
Okay, it is the quote character that comments do not like. Reporting now.
Medinoc
Mine are not even showing up at all, so it could be worse.
Valiona
Wow, Draegor really likes his cartoonish super petty villainy.
Medinoc
This was a good liveblog albeit more critical of the book than I had expected of your review and I am looking forward to the conclusion

Sorry for the lack of punctuation but I want to be sure that the system does not eat this comment and this is the only way to be sure
Valiona
Yeah, rereading the book for the third time helped me to realize more of its flaws that I overlooked or accepted the first two times.

I still think this book had potential, though. It had a lot of things I liked about it. But I plan to go into more detail about my thoughts soon.

That is a natural result of giving a work more scrutiny while liveblogging it as well as one that happened to me while liveblogging Team 8

I am looking forward to seeing your thoughts in more detail

The comment about the story changing over time does seem to nicely account for many of the problems it has, particularly the inconsistencies. Similarly, the idea that it is written by an amateur sounds like a convincing theory.

That is an interesting comment about Samantha no longer acting like a ten year old as the story progresses. One could argue that being exposed to everything has changed her, although you could also argue that the author did not necessarily show that process very well.

All in all, this was a good liveblog, and I enjoyed reading it and learning more about this story.
