1	* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Belial's treatment towards Geed: Did he see his son as a mere tool of success like his servant Kei or has a genuine fatherly love despite portraying it in a bad example? Or does Belial only treat Geed the way he does because [[ItsAllAboutMe Belial is a selfish psychopath who only loves himself]] and Geed happens to be made from his own DNA?
2	** Was Belial always going to backstab Kei, or did he decide to do so [[spoiler: after Kei accidentally stabbed him while he was killing Arie? There's evidence for both sides.]]
3	* BrokenBase: Gyeron's reappearance in this series has been quite controversial. Some fans felt that the lack of social commentary in the episode or references to its origins as a victim of a nuclear test was a disservice to the monster. Others, however, were happy that even though the original ''Series/UltraSeven'' episode it appeared in was banned following the 2011 Fukushima nuclear incident, Gyeron could still appear in newer shows unlike Alien Spell, and felt the original story protesting against nuclear deterrence was a plot unsuited for modern audiences.
4	* CompleteMonster: [[TheManBehindTheMan Ultraman Belial]] has somehow gotten worse. The first thing he does in this series, during his fourth attack on the Land of Light, is defeat all the Ultramen before setting off a bomb that would [[OmnicidalManiac wipe out all life in their universe]]. However this was a XanatosGambit: either Belial kills them all and gets his revenge, or he gets Ultraman King out of the picture. The latter happens, and Belial then hides out in space, plotting his next move. Belial plans on making himself invincible by eating Geed alive and leeching power from him like a battery. When that fails due to Geed's strong willpower, he chooses to [[ArchnemesisDad mind control his son]] into becoming a loyal slave. Geed escapes and Belial loses their fight, only to come back by possessing an innocent woman and using her as a puppet while manipulating his own loyal servant, Fukuide Kei, into fighting for him. Upon finding that [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness Kei is of no further use to him]], Belial rips out Kei's Sturm Organ—his power source and vital organ—and eats it in front of him, cackling about how Kei will be dead in days without it. During the final battle, Geed attempts to reason with his father, all but begging him to let go of his evil. Belial [[RedemptionRejection responds]] by trying to kill him one last time, demonstrating he is [[PutThemAllOutOfMyMisery beyond all help]].
5	* EnsembleDarkhorse: King Galactron was meant to be stageshow exclusive Belial Fusion Monster but it went on to receive a lot of popularity, so much that it appeared in episode 22 of the original series as a suit!
6	* EvilIsCool: The Belial Fusion Monsters, [[spoiler:including Belial's Fusion Rise as Chimeraberos and Belial Atrocious]].
7	* FanNickname: AIB (Alien Investigation Bureau) can also called as [[Film/MenInBlack Alien In Black]].
8	* FanPreferredCouple: Riku and Laiha, although the latter made it clear that she saw Riku as PlatonicLifePartners.
9	* FriendlyFandoms: With ''Series/KamenRiderBuild'', as both of their gimmicks (capsules for Geed and bottles for Build) are almost the same. Not to mention their character's similar history of being [[spoiler:creations of an galactic EvilOverlord alien being as part of their plan]].

11	** ArcVillain Kei Fukuide wrote his novels about Zero and Belial's conflict, with their roles as heroes and villains reversed. Although the filming is evidently made earlier, prior to the series [[spoiler:Chinese company Blue Arc studios and Tiga Productions created a '''literal''' bootleg of an Ultraman movie, Dragon Force: So Long Ultraman. This was taken further when Ultraman's role in that film is a villain, suffering much like Zero was in ''Geed''.]]
12	** [[spoiler:Belial was revealed to be somewhat more complex. His entire motivation to attack the Land of Light was made purely out of revenge for his banishment. Makes you wondering if all the CompleteMonster traits that he went through in his past appearances were a facade.]]

14	** In 2009, the Ultra Warriors and monsters of Film/MegaMonsterBattleUltraGalaxyLegends made their cameo appearance in Mecha-Mecha Iketeru! Japanese reality TV. Belial also appears in that show, where his voice actor Hiroyuki Miyasako (speaking through Belial nonetheless) proclaims himself to be a family man, married and have a child. Come along 2017 as Geed focuses as the son of Belial.
15	*** According to certain people, the name of Miyasako's son is Riku, who shared his name with Geed's human alter-ego.
16	*** Creator/MamoruMiyano (Ultraman Zero) has a pet dog which he named Riku, not to mention being famous for having voiced [[Franchise/KingdomHearts a character called Riku]].
17	** Episode 11 features the death of Kei Fukuide's editor. The day this episode was aired is the 34th birthday of actor Kenji Masaki, who portrayed the aforementioned editor.
18	** One of the Geed Acro Smasher's finisher (well, it's used kinda loosely here as it calms the Kaiju instead of destroying them) is called Smash Moon Healing. Hmm, a FinishingMove with [[Anime/HealinGoodPrettyCure healing on it's name]]...

28	* QuestionableCasting: There was some pre-show disdain from some Riku was being played by a high schooler after Series/UltramanOrb cast an actor in his 30s to play the lead.
29	* SlowPacedBeginning: The series is much slower in introducing the supporting cast and setting things up then most Ultra Series, with it taking about six episodes but when they finally meet Kei in person it really takes off.
30	* ToughActToFollow: Series/UltramanOrb was received extremely well by fans on both sides of the Pacific, especially Hideo Ishiguro's performance as Gai Kurenai. The jury is still out on Geed's reception, with some not finding Riku to be as good a protagonist and the early episodes lacking. Still, many people agree that ''Geed'' is still a fantastic series in its own right as well as a very satisfying conclusion to the Zero vs. Belial Saga.

32	** The Shadow Aliens were a minor villain race back in ''Series/UltraSeven'' and didn't have any reappearances before this show, so having a named Alien Shadow as one of the protagonists is quite a surprise.
