| 4 | * TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Thessaly was originally created as a darkly humorous parody of the sort of female-empowerment brand of witchcraft that became popular in the eighties and nineties, but she also provided a stark contrast to Dream's fatalism - whereas Dream constantly bemoaned the rules and customs that he had to follow, Thessaly would do what she wanted and talk back to any god who dared to condemn her. Willingham basically turns her into yet another StrawFeminist to be proven wrong by one of his own characters. |
