7	* SpiritualSuccessor: The 1999 family film ''P.U.N.K.S.'' from ''Alex Mack'' producer/writer/director Sean [=McNamara=] also focused on kids who gain super powers thanks to a secret experiment by a greedy corporation. It even has Louan Gideon (Danielle Atron) and John Nielson (Dave) pretty much playing the exact same characters. Former ''Mack'' guest star Jessica Alba also stars as one of the kids.
8	* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter Hunter Reeves only appears in the last 6 episodes of the series. His backstory of trying to find out if his father was indeed killed by Danielle Atron was intriguing but undeveloped. All Hunter seems to do is be a love interest for Alex and then to come to her rescue in the finale and then finally tackling Danielle before She can get on a helicopter.
9	* ValuesResonance: The series was widely praised in its day for featuring a strong, self-determined young female lead - in a children's series, moreover - and to this day Alex is regarded by many as a positive role model for young girls. It helps that, much like [[Franchise/{{Alien}} Ellen Ripley]], Alex was originally written as a boy before Creator/LarisaOleynik was cast and nothing else about the character was changed in the finished product beyond her biological sex.

11	** Alex. Not only does she have to live in constant fear of the chemical plant finding her out, she also often has her powers malfunction in strange ways and cause her further grief.
12	** Annie. As much as an InsufferableGenius she comes across at times, she's a rather lonely teenager with no friends outside of Alex and throws herself into her studies as a way of coping with this and the other pressures in her life.
13	** "Good" Alex from "The Other Side". She ends up trapped all night at the bottom of a hole in a construction site after Evil Alex ditches and traps her there. She might also be TooDumbToLive since she seems to forget she can liquefy into a puddle and thus travel through the sewer pipe until the last minute. Evil Alex must have taken her common sense, too.
