1	* AssPull: In the season 5 premiere, it was heavily implied that Stanley had already gotten his inheritance when he moved into a gated community, bought Paris a Rolls-Royce, and then pulled out enough cash so that she can buy another one. In the next episode, it's suddenly revealed that Stanley was only getting ten dollars after the government confiscated most of his inheritance.
2	* StrangledByTheRedString: Given Nikki's StalkerWithACrush and AbhorrentAdmirer tendencies and Professor Oglevee's constant and sometimes harsh rebuffing of them, it would be hard to believe why [[spoiler: the Proffesor would willingly marry Nikki at the end]].
3	* TheWoobie: You have to admit, Nikki has been through a lot of stuff, and it doesn't help when her rejections from the Professor and his treatment of her are seriously played out. One episode has her at a support group for the lovelorn, where she has a BreakTheHaughty after claiming she doesn't need to be there before the group leader questions her if she and the Professor are really together, breaking her down as he questioned if he even ''acknowledges'' Nikki.
4	** Ironically, one episode had her so stressed out that she didn't even acknowledge the Professor himself.
5	** Her father hasn't forgiven her for having [[TeenPregnancy Kim out of high school and putting her education on hold]] and had even belittled her before [[CallingTheOldManOut he was called out it]].
6	** She also discovered that [[spoiler: she was adopted on ''national television'']] in Family Ties and Lies, because her uncle was so determined to win the prize money.
7	** The final season opener has her [[spoiler: lonely and depressed over the Professor getting married and Kim leaving for Harvard]], while her [[spoiler: wedding plans]] in the final episode start to fall apart.
8	*** It doesn't help that in another episode when her romance novel (with the Professor as the main character, of course) becomes a big hit, Shaquille O'Neal himself shuts everything down by claiming the Professor is nothing but a fraud and a playboy, which is kinda true, with Shaq showing a photo of the Professor out with several women. The Professor then has the audacity to retaliate with the fact that with his publicity, "Why need one woman when you can have them all?". This repulses Nikki's fans and prompts them [[KickTheDog to start a book burning.]]
9	** The Professor sways between this and JerkassWoobie whenever Nikki's stalking tendencies reaches unfunny territory.
10	** Kim is this. So many boyfriends, one boyfriend died, some of them don't work out in a relationship, her marriage was annulled, and the last boyfriend she had in the series was using her as a guinea pig for social experiment.
11	** Stevie, with her childhood, and love life.
