* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Does Fraz actually like Miss Boomdeyay or is he just buttering her up to avoid being fired?
* CultClassic: It came and went in the late 90's before quickly escaping the minds of many a viewer to the point of becoming extremely obscure, but at best, it has a very, ''very'' small but dedicated fanbase.
* DesignatedHero: Guapo is called out by fans and haters for not being a good brother to Fraz, sometimes being purposefully manipulative.
* DiagnosedByTheAudience: Fraz might have some kind of disorder based on the fact that he is a nervous wreck 24/7.
* FridgeHorror: In "Queen Bees" Guapo was hypnotized by the Queen Bee and turned into a "drone" and forced to collect nectar. But Guapo is a male and in real life male bees have no purpose except to mate with the queen. If this episode was more true to life, Guapo would have basically been raped. [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone And it would have been Fraz's fault.]]
* HilariousInHindsight:
** In the episode "Double Feature", Fraz mentions the movie stars of Movieland having swimming pools in swimming pools. ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'', which airs on the same channel, used a similar joke a few years after ''The Brothers Flub'' had run its course ("This guy's so rich, he has a swimming pool in a swimming pool!").
** Fraz is very paranoid and a bit of a control freak and is voiced by Scott Menville. Who else is? ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo'''s version of Robin.
* HoYay: In "Sidekicked" Fraz decides to look at a "Dating Site" to find his new sidekick Skeezer. Guapo is also a little touchy-feely around his partner Droppo.
* JerkassWoobie:
** Fraz is mean to Guapo and causes almost as much trouble as he does. But he does go through a lot of suffering and rarely has a happy ending.
** Guapo is much happier than his brother, but sometimes he has his moments of misery. He too suffers under the tyranny of Miss Boomdeyay, and his brother constantly wishes they weren't brothers.
* NeverLiveItDown: The fact that the show's theme song is perceived as being especially obnoxious, even by typical theme song standards, has not helped its reputation in its years of obscurity. Some have even remarked that the theme song was actually the main reason why the show was cancelled as it made some viewers change the channel the moment they heard that awful theme.
* NightmareFuel: "Paradise Schmaradise" seems darker than most of the episodes. Fraz chooses to relax on the beach with Guapo, which causes him to get choked with a coconut by Mr. Doom, imagines himself being cooked for dinner, and when he gets swallowed by a fish, he embraces his death before being saved.
* RonTheDeathEater: Guapo's UnintentionallyUnsympathetic nature causes fans to make him the demon spawn of Mr. Doom.
* TheScrappy:
** Tarara Boomdeyay is the biggest one because of her BadBoss personality towards her workers. (Even though Guapo and Fraz somehow see her as "nice" and "special", despite often getting abused by her.)
** Guapo is much less liked than Fraz by the few people who gave the show a chance. They hate how much of a bully he is to his brother and how he's much luckier than Fraz who is a lot nicer in comparison.
* SelfFanservice: Some fans draw the titular brothers as attractive human-like aliens.
* SoOkayItsAverage: To those who don't mind the annoying theme song, the show isn't all that bad, if not as remarkable as other Nicktoons.
* TearJerker:
** The Crusher/Gerald's sad story of being bullied by Mungo in "Wrestlemaniacs".
** Guapo crying over Fraz in "Bard Brain".
** Fraz hurting Hector's feelings in "For the Birds". Also Guapo saying goodbye to Hector.
** Guapo crying over his guacamole being stolen in "Guapo's Funhouse", even Fraz wants to comfort him.
** Fraz being mistreated by the movie crew in "Double Feature". Guapo later feels guilty for this.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: A lot of people who HAVE seen it have been quick to call it a bad ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' rip-off, despite the fact that the show premiered two whole months before ''Futurama'' did (though production for ''Futurama'' dates back to 1996).
* UglyCute: The titular brothers.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: Fraz in "Heads Up". Sure, he was a jerk to Guapo in the episode, but he didn't deserve to take the blame for what his brother should have been responsible for.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Guapo, again in "Heads Up", he does suffer from Fraz's bossiness, but he acted like a jerk at the end and took advantage of Fraz's situation where he was about to be killed.
* VanillaProtagonist: Fraz, who's a boy-next-door workaholic/goody-two-shoes.
* TheWoobie:
** Fraz. Poor, poor Fraz. Due to his constant paranoia about being doomed. He also almost gets eaten alive by a fish in Paradise Shmaradise and doesn't even want to be saved.
** Elmo, Fraz and Guapo's nervous cousin, is forced to cheat by Fraz.
