1	* BaseBreakingCharacter:
2	** Rusty himself. While most people tend to find him hilarious in a CrossesTheLineTwice kind of way, others find him too horrible and abusive to really laugh at.
3	** "Perfect Bidoof" (aka "Peanut Butter"), is either an awesome idea for a character (in that, he's a Pokemon willing to assist Rusty in his destruction on others), or an [[NightmareFuel absolutely terrifying]] individual whose presence is [[EveryoneHasStandards too horrifying even for a web series that is practically built on dark humor.]]
4	* BrokenBase: The GrandFinale was rather divisive among viewers, with some seeing it as a good ending that managed to tie up the loose ends and finally giving [[spoiler:Future]] Rusty his punishment, while others found it anti-climactic and/or that [[spoiler:Future Rusty's punishment of being forced to work at his parents' deli for the rest of his life was excessive because he was an idiot who wasn't really meaning any harm.]]
5	* ContinuityLockout: For a BlackComedy parody, the series was pretty heavy on continuity. The show followed an extremely serialized nature and almost never provided any explanation behind events that occurred beforehand, regardless of plot relevancy. The only thing keeping this from being a major problem is the fact that the episodes have pretty short run-times; in a single sitting, the whole series could be watched in little over 47 minutes.
6	* CrossesTheLineTwice: All the death and destruction that Rusty tends to cause is what makes the series so funny.
7	* HilariousInHindsight:
8	** Rusty defeats a Trainer by throwing Pikachu the Kakuna at his Rattata. Come ''VideoGame/PokemonSunAndMoon'', the actual Pikachu's Z-move has the trainer doing the same thing.
9	** The EV Training episode came out just over a week before ''VideoGame/PokemonXAndY'' were released, which dramatically simplified the EV Training process and addressed most ([[StopHavingFunGuys though not all]]) of the issues being parodied.
10	** Peanut Butter is redeemed through the power of a good sandwich. In ''VideoGame/PokemonScarletAndViolet'', you befriend the box legendary with a sandwich.
11	* ItsShortSoItSucks: The series revival lasting just 5 episodes got this reaction from some people.
12	* JerkassWoobie: Pikachu the Beedrill [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal became a hate-filled sociopath because of Rusty's extremely poor handling]], which included being dragged around on a leash instead of in a Poké Ball and trying to make Pikachu evolve by throwing rocks at him when he was still a Kakuna in hopes that one of them was a Sun Stone (which doesn't even evolve Kakunas in general). Not helping was the fact that Professor Tree, who "owned" Pikachu before Rusty took him, apparently thought that he was a paperweight.
13	* NightmareFuel: [[spoiler:Peanut Butter straight up murdering Agatha in "The Elite Four". He uses his powers to make Bidoofs sprout out of her eyes and mouth, and she just keels over, dead. So the surviving members of the Elite Four give Rusty her position out of sheer terror]].
14	* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Surprisingly, "Pikachu" only appears in a couple cameos throughout the revival episodes. Most were surprised that it didn't end in some sort of battle between Rusty's two most noteworthy Pokémon, Beedrill and Perfect Bidoof.
15	* UnintentionallySympathetic: Rusty. While he's definitely very [[ItsAllAboutMe egocentric]], his complete and utter stupidity getting in the way of his dreams of wanting to be a Pokémon master has made him look sympathetic to some fans even though it's obvious he's not supposed to be. [[spoiler:Then there was the fact he was going to prison for the rest of his life at the age of ''ten'', before eventually being forced to work at his father's deli (which he hated doing) for the rest of his life]].
16	* TheWoobie: Any of Rusty's Pokémon or some poor human harmed or killed by Rusty's stupidity.
