1	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Music/Blink182's "Aliens Exist" was used in the marketing, and it perfectly captures the tone of the film, with memorable lyrics and a hardcore riff.
2	* ClicheStorm: Deliberately uses a lot of cliches from 1950s alien invasion movies. However, some found this palette swap a little boring.
3	* EnsembleDarkhorse: The Alien Dog is a fan-favorite for being a great homage to ''Franchise/{{Alien}}''.
4	* HoYay: Chuck and Lem are basically flirting through the whole movie. Some of their dialogue {{lampshades}} this.

9	** They could have done so much more with the HumansThroughAlienEyes concept, thrown in some weird alien biology, a few alien customs, and it wouldn't spoil the 1950s gags excessively, but the alien world is almost identical to Earth, making the "alien invasion role-swap" premise little more than a matter of swapped aesthetics.
10	** Furthermore, the aliens' ignorance of the size of outer space could have been an interesting commentary on the close-mindedness of humankind, but it is ultimately thrown away after Lem attempts to make his speech.
11	%% * SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: This movie looks well done for a rather small budget.
12	* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: It's a fun kids cartoon movie, but has some raunchy innuendos, not to mention it's from one of the screenwriters of the ''Franchise/{{Shrek}}'' franchise.
