2	** Venus does mention having done some nasty things to her former lovers in the past because she either found them annoying or they mistreated her. Although she seems to be nice to everyone she meets, it's shown that she's willing to use her powers on anyone who crosses Eddie. So perhaps her attitude towards him might have changed had she remained on Earth for longer.
3	** Gloria appears to be all too ready to believe Eddie is cheating on her - and gets violent on him with only a small fraction of evidence. While she has reason to be annoyed that Eddie could be hiding things from her, it seems to paint her as someone with a HairTriggerTemper.
4	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: "Speak Low", a lovely soothing ballad about falling in love.
5	* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Creator/AvaGardner running around wearing a tight-fitting tunic for the first act, as well as getting a scene with a ModestyBedSheet. The film is practically synonymous with showing off Ava's beauty.
6	* EnsembleDarkhorse: Molly Grant is beloved by fans of the film, for Eve Arden's fantastically snarky delivery. The majority of the quotes on the film's Website/{{IMDB}} page are provided by her. She was even raised in the billing once the filmmakers realised how she was stealing the show.
7	* FridgeBrilliance: Venus' presence helps couples find the right match for each other. For example Eddie and Gloria won't work out; as seen, she's prone to hysterics and overreactions. When she flips out, Eddie isn't able to deal with her. Joe meanwhile is able to calm her down without making her even madder - which is why they make a better match. Molly is likewise the only one who can stand up to Whitfield and tell it like it is.

Are we talking about ''Series/IDreamOfJeannie''? Bonus points for Venus's initial hairstyle resembling Jeannie's a little.

28	** When she sees Venus, Molly sighs "I wish she reminded me of me". Other lines throughout the film suggest she's meant to be the dowdy secretary. Creator/EveArden is just as gorgeous as Ava Gardner and Olga San Juan and to a modern audience, the glasses make her look even cuter. She would often find herself typecast as the unattractive best friend, which critics of the time found hard to believe.

While played by radiant beauty Creator/AvaGardner, she's not exactly shot or lit in a way that makes her seem more than simply another attractive woman in the film. Olga San Juan and Eve Arden - the other two female leads - are just as gorgeous as she is.

40	** The very notion of a LoveGoddess running around civilised society made the show and the film quite risque for the time. Eddie being mistaken for spending the night with Venus when he has a girlfriend? Scandalously hilarious in the 1940s. Creator/MarleneDietrich even backed out of the original production because she found the material too risque.
