* {{Adorkable}}: Anti-Bravoman, Blue Max and Meowkie.
* CargoShip:
** Canon example, if choosing to pursue Donko (the Taiko drum from ''VideoGame/TaikoNoTatsujin'') or [[VideoGame/{{Galaga}} Galaga]].
** Also, Hiromi/Hiromi's Motorbike. If you go to poetry club, she recites a poem where she wishes she could marry it.
* CrackShip: Practically supports this. Shipping ''anyone'' with the Galaga ship is utterly insane. So it's a ''literal'' [[{{Pun}} crack ship]].
* CrossoverShip: Not one of your potential partners comes from the Katamari setting, to put it that way.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** The Galaga ship is extremely popular, probably due to the sheer intrinsic lunacy of the idea.
** Davesprite is very memorable [[spoiler: due to the tear jerking ending.]]
** Meowkie is another one of the most popular characters for her extremely endearing personality, adorable design, and especially memorable arc.
* HarsherInHindsight: The picture in which [[spoiler:which you and your romantic partner lose the fight against Evil Namco High]] was used for the "Namco High is shutting down" announcement on Platform/ShiftyLook.
* HilariousInHindsight: A VisualNovel where you're capable of forming relationships with ''Homestuck'' characters eventually became an official thing with the coming of ''VisualNovel/{{Pesterquest}}''.
* HoYay: There's rather a lot of this between Hiromi and Toby in her route (Toby being, despite the name, female), and one of Valkyrie's first lines is to make a fairly blatant pass at Meowkie while winking hugely. Then there's Nidia's route, in which her initial list of likely candidates, based solely on hotness, consists of Richard Miller, Hiromi, and the Galaga ship.
* JustHereForGodzilla: The main draw of the game was dating Namco characters. A majority of people seemed to have played just to have a shot at the ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' cast.
* MemeticMutation: I'm gonna fuck that spaceship.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: If you're a ''Homestuck'' fan, Jane Crocker's ending is this: [[spoiler: Cousin Ascends to God Tier, specifically, the role of Heir of Heart.]]
* RetroactiveRecognition: A few of the character artists became more well-known in the years following the game's release, such as Creator/TysonHesse (Aki), [[VideoGame/{{Omori}} Omocat]] (Hiromi), and Creator/NDStevenson (Nidia).
* TaintedByThePreview: The announcement of ''Homestuck'' characters in the cast drove a lot of people away, as they'd hoped Hussie could do something completely new.
* TearJerker:
** Davesprite's ending. [[spoiler: Davesprite essentially insinuates that he remains aware that the game has reset at the start of a New Game and the Cousin has forgotten all about their relationship; it makes his initial comment at the start of the game much HarsherInHindsight.]]
*** It gets worse. Should you go after Davesprite again, he [[spoiler:mentions that you're after him again, with the sad expression. You were his only friend in the in-game universe, and he needs to reintroduce himself, even though he remembers you.]]
** The bad ending, in which you and your romantic partner [[spoiler: lose the fight against Evil Namco High. In this [[https://24.media.tumblr.com/9fba46ca625b437b23831bfb7c83431e/tumblr_my32c1C5rz1qki1rdo1_500.jpg this picture]], you can see Lolo's skull decoration, Valkyrie's sword, and a few other students' weapons...but worst of all is Cousin's katamari ball, which lays with a little bit of color shining on it as opposed to the grey everywhere else.]]
** Meowkie's story arc, where you learn [[spoiler: she's become an {{Extreme Doormat}} due to her family's reputation as art thieves, and refuses to get angry even when other students repeatedly blame her for things they've done.]] In the ending, where she becomes a BadassAdorable and learns [[spoiler: it's okay to get angry at people who treat you like crap]], hits a special cord if you've ever been in a similar situation.
* TheWoobie: Meowkie. There are points in her backstory where you just want to hug her, and a few others where you want to burn down the school.
* UnexpectedCharacter: The exchange students from ''Homestuck'' and the ship from ''VideoGame/{{Galaga}}''. The latter in particular, because the game makes no effort to update the "character." It's still a non-anthropomorphic arrangement of pixels vaguely in the shape of a spaceship. The official site [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this:
-->THE GALAGA SHIP IS THE MOST ALLURING, CAPTIVATING, AND ENCHANTING THING IN THE UNIVERSE.
