* FandomRivalry: Among French nostalgics of TheNineties, there's a divide between those who think the ''Series/ClubDorothee'' was the better kids show and those who think ''Les Minikeums'' was. Of note, most of those who watched the ''Club Dorothée'' were born in the late 1970s-early 1980s (sometimes called "Xennials") while those who watched ''Les Minikeums'' were born in the mid-to-late 1980s and very early 1990s (full-on Millennials). For instance, [[WebVideo/JoueurDuGrenier Fred Molas]], a Xennial, is a big ''Club Dorothée'' fan (up to making many a ShoutOut to it in his WebSite/YouTube videos) and only did a video about ''Les Minikeums'' because of popular demand (and made no secret that he doesn't like it).
* GatewaySeries:
** This show introduced France to the Franchise/DCAnimatedUniverse in the 1990s starting with ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'', and that move did ''much'' to increase interest in Creator/DCComics characters in general there.
** Ditto with introducing French children to the ''WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes'' and ''Franchise/{{Nicktoons}}''.
* HarsherInHindsight: The character of Normy in the revival show was based on Norman Thavaud, a very popular French Youtuber who has become ''extremely'' controversial since 2020, most notably due to several rape accusations including minors.
* HilariousInHindsight: A skit from 1995 has Vaness (a puppet based on actress Creator/VanessaParadis) asking Zaza if she has seen the Creator/JohnnyDepp movie on TV from the night before. Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp would be in a relationship from 1998 to 2012.
* SeasonalRot: The ''MNK'' years (2000-2002) were reviled for removing much of what children loved about the puppet parts of the show. The colorful and practical office sets were removed and replaced by a grey futuristic CGI background, the music videos, comedic skits and ''Cinékeum'' short films were removed as well and the character lineup was considerably reduced. Audience ratings plummeted, and the show was terminated as a result.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks:
** This was the overwhelming reaction to the 2000-2002 revamp ''MNK'', for reasons mentioned in SeasonalRot above.
** Many people who were fond of the original show when they were children generally do not hold the 2010s revival in very high regard, partly because the cast includes puppets imitating the likes of Kev Adams and Norman Thavaud (who are especially reviled by such older generations and beloved by younger ones, especially celebrities who made their fame on Website/YouTube like the latter) instead of the older ones. NostalgiaFilter applies heavily, naturally.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: The {{revival}} show, especially (despite being much more recent, ironically). While the original iteration of the show was firmly rooted in TheNineties, the fact that it parodied celebrities that for the most part were already well-established (and were more well-known by adults than by the actual target audience) meant that the puppets would still be recognized some years after the show ended (even decades in some cases), and that the show was less likely to suffer from sudden controversies related to real-life events, as it happened to Normy's character in the revival show (see the HarsherInHindsight section above for details). On top on that, the revival show derived much of its humor from then-current technology fads, something that was much less present in the 90's show.
* UnpopularPopularCharacter: Coco was this in spades. He was an arrogant and blunt SmallNameBigEgo ButtMonkey, but he was still the most popular character of the show for a reason.
