6	%%* BrokenBase: The cancellation caused the usual rumors for an unexpected cancellation- the main star didn't want to do it, the creator pissed off the network or didn't want to do it themselves- before Jim O'Doherty explained why- the network decided to cancel most, if not all, of its live action TV lineup, in favor of setting up ''Series/SamAndCat''.
7	%%** Even worse, the Sam & Cat issue was made irrelevant when Alloy Entertainment (who owns the book series) was purchased by Creator/WarnerBros. in June 2012-''halfway through the show's run''. Between both of the above it's a miracle ''How To Rock'' was even allowed to stay on the main channel at all, let alone air the rest of it's episodes as a regular fall season.
8	* CultClassic: The show had a very dedicated fanbase at the time that it was first airing and is still years later looked upon positively and fondly.
9	* FanPreferredCouple: Zevie (Zander Robbins/Stevie Baskara) is intensely loved by the fanbase specifically because of the close dynamic between the two characters and the chemistry between Max Schneider and Creator/LuluAntariksa. The ship is widely well-received above the two Zander ships the show seemed to be implying instead: either him and Kacey Simon (Zacey) or him and Molly Garfunkel (Zolly).
10	* FandomRivalry: A bitter one with ''Series/SamAndCat'' after How To Rock's creator revealed that they were cancelled because of it.
11	* HarsherInHindsight: Kacey spent most of the series trying to stop and outdo Molly since being kicked out of the Perfs. She was able to beat Molly and get the last laugh many times, but their backstory in "How To Rock Christmas" reveals that this is exactly the type of behavior Kacey had towards Molly when she was queen of the Perfs and [[FreudianExcuse why Molly has such a grudge against her to begin with]].
12	** Incidentally, this recalls the plot of the books.
13	* [[HoYay Les Yay]]: Let's just say that Kacie and Stevie have plenty of moments where they're ''really'' close with each other.
