* CompleteMonster: [[AncientEvil Armeggaddon]] was the Emperor of the Black Draconium Empire who lived 3,000 years ago and was responsible for triggering the first Dragon-Human War that nearly brought both races to extinction, before he was defeated by being [[SealedEvilInACan trapped within the Shadow Track]]. Accidentally awakened in the present day, Armeggaddon selects Moordryd Paynn to be his apprentice, [[EvilMentor training him to become]] the [[EvilCounterpart Shadow Booster]] and encouraging increasingly immoral actions including killing, which horrifies Moordryd and drives him away. He reveals he intends to start another Dragon-Human War to [[OmnicidalManiac wipe out all life on the planet but himself]].
* DiagnosedByTheAudience: Parm can easily be interpreted as autistic; he stims in the form of bouncing his leg and rocking in one episode, is socially awkward, has several special interests that he knows a lot about and infodumps constantly, even when he's under the [[{{Brainwashed}} influence]] of the Samurox map.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Arguably Pyyrah (first and main female crew leader, fun to imagine a personality for, since she really existed to swap alliances as the plot demands).
** Rivett tends to have a high rating among fans, due to being "cute", cunning, and badass.
* EvilIsCool: Word as Drakkus, Armeggadon, and Moordryd as the Shadow Booster are all genuinely badass and visually awesome to watch in battle.
* FauxSymbolism: Say "Artha Penn" and "Moordryd" out loud a few times and see if anything clicks.
* HilariousInHindsight: This show did training and riding dragons as a selling point before [[VideoGame/PokemonScarletAndViolet a certain RPG series]] and [[Franchise/HowToTrainYourDragon film franchise]] did.
* NightmareFuel: Episode 9 "All is Not Lost", the episode introduces the [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Muhorta]]. Which is basically the Dragon equivalent of a [[OurVampiresAreDifferent Vampire]].
** The moment in the episode "Faster than Fear". When Artha stumbled upon one of the victims of the Shadow Track. While examining one racer who appeared to be frozen in place, that is... [[AndIMustScream until the poor man's eyes started moving]].
** Similar to the effects of the Shadow Track. The blue stun gear introduced in the season 2 episode "Still Waters Freeze". Only this time, the victim is clearly conscious and aware of their surroundings. They're just stuck being completely paralyzed. Worse still? The gear even effects Artha's Gold Draconium armor.
* OneSceneWonder: Most due to the efforts of fans making them memetric, since no one got more than an episode as anything other than a LivingProp, but:
** Vociferous: set up as a rival to Moordryd, but it was never followed up on. Fans tended to make plots out of that dropped idea.
** Chute: became a MemeticBadass after her only episode
** Marianis: either because unlike Pyyrah she had a personality, or because the fans liked pairing her with Moordryd.
** Rivett: got an episode and short scene in another, becoming the main EnsembleDarkhorse out of sheer awesome and cunning.
