* EnjoyTheStorySkipTheGame: Consensus is that the gameplay is rather bad, but the cutscenes and story themselves are praised as being very faithful to the tone of the Batman mythos.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** This would not be the last time the Joker would take over Arkham Asylum in a video game; he did so in the aptly named ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum''.
** ''Dark Tomorrow'' was originally pitched as an open world sandbox ''Batman'' game before a massive dose of ExecutiveMeddling kicked in. We finally got our open world ''Batman'' game... in ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity''.
* MagnificentBastard: [[Characters/BatmanRasAlGhul Ra's Al Ghul]] is the mastermind behind the game's events. Plotting to cause a tsunami that'll wipe out every major city in the world, thus leaving the survivors to rebuild civilization from scratch, he anticipates Batman's involvement and plans to keep him distracted while he finishes the satellite. For this, he arranges a gang war between Black Mask and Scarface by supplying both of them with weapons, then he hires the Joker to cause a mass Arkham breakout at the same time. By the time Batman stops both scenarios, Ra's has finished the satellite, again anticipating that the Dark Knight would arrive at his base and stop him. Catching his daughter Talia trying to help Batman, he sends his best men after him before fighting him in a sword fight himself. [[MultipleEndings Depending on the ending]], he'll either [[TheBadGuyWins triumph over the Dark Knight and win]], or be mortally wounded and provide Talia and Ubu a means of escape to the Lazarus Pit, being revived to fight another day.
* MemeticMutation: As popularised by WebVideo/{{Rerez}}'s review of the game, Batman's [[{{Narm}} unintentionally humorous]] [[https://youtu.be/ZztnEe5GYvw death grunt]] if he falls off a building or into a deathpit.
-->'''Batman''': '''''NNNNNNNNNNNNNUUUNNGGGHHHH'''''.
* {{Narm}}:
** While most of the voice acting is serviceable, the Joker's voice can be described as if he's constantly on the verge of transforming from a sub-par Creator/MarkHamill soundalike into a demonic [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants SpongeBob.]]
** Batman's BigNo during the Bad Ending is also a great measure of unintentionally hilarious; mostly for how melodramatic it is with him falling to his knees and [[SkywardScream yelling it to the ceiling]], complete with crazy jazz hands and even a spotlight thrown on him.
** Batman's aforementioned death grunt. It's hard to get too upset with [[BottomlessPits falling off a building or into a pit]] when Batman sounds like he's just mildly annoyed (at best) that he's falling to his death. It's even funnier when combined with Batman falling to the ground in a rigid spread-eagle pose like [[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes Wile E. Coyote]], to the point where the only thing missing is [[BombWhistle him making a long whistling noise as he falls]].
* ObviousBeta:
** One of the game's early maps is incomplete and contains paths that lead to nowhere. Offscreen enemies fire hails of bullets that are impossible to survive if you attempt to go down these paths.
** The game gives you a maze-like map of the Gotham Sewer system for the sewer level... and then the sewer is structured with absolutely zero branching paths and is completely linear. Seems they didn't have time to build the rest of the map they had in mind...
** The function of the night vision goggles is to spot and avoid infrared lasers. There are no such lasers anywhere in the entire game.
** Two items -- Weapons Crate 1 and Weapons Crate 3 -- appear to have absolutely zero use in the game, and no player has ever found a Weapons Crate 2.
