* BaseBreakingCharacter: Daisy. She was liked for her powerful speech about the [=BeU=] movement, but met with hatred from the fans for accusing Carmín of hacking the Fundom in season 2 when she had no evidence of that, something that made her look like an entitled self-righteous hypocrite with NoListeningSkills.
* CatharsisFactor: [[spoiler:Marcos finally being exposed for hacking the FUNDOM, after all he put them through, felt immensely cathartic, especially after how he framed Carmín for the deed in an attempt to get away with it.]]
* DesignatedHero: The entire FUNDOM gang in season 2 can count for pretending to support Carmín when she reiterates her innocence for the hacking, only to repay her kindness to them by launching an investigation into her to prove if she's ''really'' guilty, which goes against their ''so-called'' [=BeU=] principle about inclusion and diversity. Their apology after they realize it wasn't her and being EasilyForgiven doesn't really help matters.
* DesignatedVillain:
** Carmín was painted as one by the Fundom in the first episodes of Season 2, as they still don't trust her and think she's the one behind the hacking.
** Mariano is also on the receiving end of this when he doesn't allow Bia to see Manuel and him treating the guy with disdain, ignoring these key factors:
*** He had supposedly lost his eldest daughter Helena in a car accident, to a Gutierrez ''no less''. And worse, [[PartingWordsRegret the last time they ever saw each other, Helena and her father had a big fight]].
*** The war with the Gutierrezes has spiraled out of control, and the incident at the [=Moondust=] as well as the false accusations against Manuel blaming Helena for the accident became the last straw for Mariano.
*** Bia just turned the same age as her sister and Mariano has the right to be paranoid and do what he thinks is best for her. Basically, he is trying to prevent history from repeating and not to lose his other daughter - ''to another Gutierrez''.
* DieForOurShip:
** Soledad is a target of this by Thiago/Ana shippers. In the midpoint of season 2, she was PutOnABus, allowing them to be together.
** Mara is also on the receiving end of this by Bia/Manuel and Carmín/Alex shippers.
** Jhon in season 1, by Daisy/Pietro shippers.
* FandomRivalry:
** Of all things, the Music/{{BTS}} fandom, likely due to the accusations of plagiarism in the "Grita" music video.
** And, of course, another exists with the ''Series/SoyLuna'' fandom. Showing a teaser for ''BIA'' during ''Luna'''s series finale did not make the latter's fandom feel good at all.
* HarsherInHindsight: At some point, Mara gets Carmín to do a video in collaboration with a (fake) organization dedicated to saving an endangered bird in the Amazon rainforest. This happened while news was circulating about the ''real'' Amazon going through horrific fires, which may have resulted in Disney [[MissingEpisode privating]] the corresponding [=YouTube=] video to go with it ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92W_fRx21Z4 which can be seen here]]).
* HilariousInHindsight: {{Jerkass}} Alex and NiceGirl Chiara became enemies, despite very little interactions, due to the feud between his family and Bia's. Three years later, their actors Guido Messina and Giulia Guerrini, [[RomanceOnTheSet who started dating in real life]], [[Series/SecretsOfSummer are once again cast for another project]], with Guerrini's character becoming the {{Jerkass}} to the NiceGuy of Messina's.
* JerkassWoobie: Paula Gutiérrez is a resentful and spiteful person who constantly insults Helena and the Urquizas because she blames Helena for the accident that killed one of her sons and disabled one of her other sons. But considering that her husband cheated on her and conceived a son with the other woman. It’s not hard to feel sorry for her. There’s also the fact that aside from her hatred against the Urquizas and her bad treatment of Manuel [[note]] of which she realized that it was wrong[[/note]], Paula was shown to be a friendly and cordial person who just suffered a lot.
** Say what you want about Alex ([[HorribleJudgeOfCharacter and that includes you Jandino]]), but he counts as one as well. Ever since the accident that resulted in his brother Lucas' death, he's been often neglected by his parents, mostly because of Víctor's delicate wheelchair state that Paula dedicated herself to taking care of him while Antonio worked to provide for them, with it being the reason why he opened his [=SoyAlex=] channel, he only wanted to be noticed.
** Mara is very despisable and unsupportive, but you can't really blame her when Carmín, the then-AlphaBitch at LAIX, treated her very poorly. This is what triggers her FaceHeelTurn.
* JerksAreWorseThanVillains:
** Paula is more of a jerk than an actual villain, given that she suffered from the accident and kept taking her anger out on Manuel, the son of [[spoiler:her husband Antonio's mistress]], while also throwing hateful comments at the Urquizas, due to being a victim of Antonio's lies about the accident.
** Carmín actually calls the FUNDOM gang this in comparison to LAIX when Daisy accuses her of being involved in the hacking, [[DoubleStandard even stating that they're clearly forgetting the true meaning of [=BeU=]]].
** Mariano can also come off as this to some audiences in Season 2, due to his poor treatment of Manuel, forbidding Bia from seeing him again and lashing out at her for lying about it after finding out about their SecretRelationship.
* {{Narm}}: Seeing them try to pass a nearly 30 year old man as a teenager makes it hard to take flashbacks involving Victor seriously.
* NarrowedItDownToTheGuyIRecognize: Starting mid-season 1, Nicole Luis (known for her main roles in popular TV shows ''Series/PatitoFeo'' and ''Cuando Toca la Campana'') appears as secondary character Soledad, a Kunst resident who takes an interest in Thiago. While most Kunst residents besides those that are main characters have very minor roles in the plot, Soledad is revealed to [[spoiler: secretly work for Thiago's stepmother Alana who wants to take ownership of the residence and leave Thiago with nothing]].
* NoSuchThingAsBadPublicity: An in-universe example - when rumours start circulating that Alex and Carmín might be back together, Antonio thinks Alex should take advantage of this to gain fame, even though he's getting hate comments about it.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: Paula was massively hated since she was introduced over how badly she treated Manuel and her pettiness toward the Urquizas. However, in season 2, she's more positively received when she apologizes to Manuel seeing that he's not to blame for Antonio having the affair with his mom, her friendship with Carmin, opposing Mara dating her son Alex, and defending him to Antonio due to him controlling every aspect of his career, but this doesn't mean Paula is on good terms with the Urquizas either as she is still in the dark about the accident and is sure that Helena was the one who drove and not her deceased son Lucas, who was a minor.
* {{Squick}}: The romantic subplot between Chiara, a high school student, and Guillermo, a LAIX employee who is considered experienced enough to be their CEO.[[note]]Rumor has it that his actor said the character is 22 years old. Another says that a tell-all book about the show says he's between 23 and 25 years old.[[/note]]
* StrawmanHasAPoint:
** For a cheat as he is, Marcos wasn't ''absolutely'' wrong in pointing out how severe their accusation against LAIX for hacking them is, even when they don't have proof that can fully support it, both when he sets them up to turn their followers against them and publicly during the Dancing Games when he unmasked himself as Giovanni (or so they thought), going on an angry tirade about it. Still, they act as if they were a bunch of know-it-all teenage detectives who enjoy blaming people they hate so much based on their personal feelings.
** Carmín was also right to call the Fundom gang out for displaying the same behavior as Laix when they accused her of hacking the place, but they brush this off thinking she's being unreasonable and state that they're different from Laix. Daisy even has the gall to say that Carmín is the same fake person like before, especially bringing up how she [[CrocodileTears fake cried]] in her videos, and her redemption is all just an act, as if Carmín wasn't so depressed and didn't learn from her mistakes back when ''her'' career was destroyed by Mara. The fact that Marcos pulls the WoundedGazelleGambit against them through an out-of-context video just speaks volumes about her point. Not to mention, the gang had ''zero'' proof in their hand that Laix hacked the Fundom, so at least Carmín is the one who actually did something about it, while the Fundom was just all-talk.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** As brought up by [[https://youtu.be/YbBmImqPb2o?t=1633 caitlovesdisney]], season 1 had a subplot with Celeste learning that going to therapy is nothing to be ashamed of. Then, by the time the second season starts, she ditches her therapy for... a podcast. The host of the podcast [[spoiler:ends up being a really insecure person hiding behind a facade]], but not much else is done with that subplot.
** ''Un Mundo al Revés'' would have been a good opportunity to bring back Lucas, but he never appears in the special and no mention of him is made by his family. It may be somewhat justified as there's already a great load of characters to juggle around in a movie.
* ToughActToFollow: From rumors that tickets for their concert tour weren't really selling before the pandemic forced them to cancel it, to Disney Channel [[ShortRunInPeru Spain]] inadvertently forcing Disney Latino [[ScrewedByTheNetwork to air the remainder of season 2 at short notice instead of pausing their run]], it seems that the show has not been embraced as much as its predecessors.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: As stated above, while there's no excuse of Alex being a total jerkass and all of the bad things he's done and said to Bia and Manuel, it's not hard to sympathize with him when he felt left out by his family in the wake of the accident and Lucas' death.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic:
** Victor towards the end of the series as far as [[spoiler:Ana/Helena]] is concerned. [[spoiler:He expects her to leave Thiago and the country just to be with him, not taking her own feelings into consideration. Sure, she was his big first love and he spent 10 years thinking she was dead]], but he still comes off as unsympathetic.
** The FUNDOM gang, especially Daisy, can count as well for investigating Carmín to prove if she's involved in the hackings and keep on accusing her for something she didn't do when they don't have proof that says otherwise. Carmín also points out the double standard with LAIX about accepting anyone as equal. Even their refusal to accept that they are no better than the people of LAIX just comes off as case of NeverMyFault instead of a warranted defense.
** Manuel becomes this in season 2. While his anger at both Victor and Antonio for lying to him about the accident (and Antonio being his father) is quite understandable, however, he blows it out of proportion with Bia as he starts behaving very cold and rude, which further alienates Bia from him. As far as she knew, Bia suspected Victor was hiding something about the accident but didn't know what, so it was clearly impossible for her to guess this shocking piece of information. So, Manuel was totally in the wrong for accusing Bia of lying.
* WhyWouldAnyoneTakeHerBack: Carmín takes the FUNDOM gang back as her friends way too easily even after how badly they treated her for a severe crime that was the fault of others at LAIX.
* TheWoobie:
** Bia. She's lost her big sister, Helena, [[spoiler:[[HesJustHiding or at least that's what she thinks]]]], then has to deal with her parents' disapproval of Manuel, whom she's in love with, due to him belonging to the family that has been feuded with them over the accident that took place 10 years ago.
** Manuel. The poor guy just can't catch a break. His entire life has been nothing but a lie. [[spoiler:First, he was conceived through an affair his mother had with Antonio, a married man, which causes his stepmother Paula to take her anger out him. This information is concealed by Antonio, Paula and even his own mother and Alex, all of whom thought that such hard blow would further tear the family apart after the accident. And, to put a nail on the coffin, Victor, his only close relative, also lied to him about the accident]].
** Helena. It's clear that the accident has marked her ever since. She developed amnesia from the heavy crash and couldn't remember a thing and thought she was all alone until she met Thiago and he helped her out. However, she feels hurt by Paula blaming her for the accident, then apalled to realize that Victor framed her for it, which makes her a sad character to watch. Also, while she misses Bia and wants to be with her, she just can't bring herself to, fearing that she will never forgive her for walking out on the family 10 years ago.
** Pixie. She's been cyberbullied due to her boyish appearance, something that forced to close her social media account, and did not have the courage to open up to someone about it. She gets better, though.
