* BestKnownForTheFanservice: While she's a competent actress and singer, the material she starred in is more known for her dressing nicely and/or showing off her body in them, rather than the strength of her singing and acting or the material itself. Became an invoked trope towards the end of the 2010's and the beginning of the 2020's, at which point Victoria embraced the fanservice side of her public persona, with the majority of her fans being drawn from those who knew her from the many, ''many'' posts she makes on Instagram.
* FandomRivalry: With fans of former ''Series/{{Victorious}}'' co-star Music/ArianaGrande over HostilityOnTheSet rumors that have persisted even long after Ariana herself debunked them, Victoria and Ariana allegedly having feuded over the cancellation of ''Victorious'', and Ariana quickly becoming far more famous than Victoria. The stars themselves have been on good terms since at least 2014, but tensions within the fandoms continued for years to the point that Ariana intervened after the ''Victorious'' cast's virtual reunion for the show's tenth anniversary. Tensions started to cool off a bit afterward, with Ariana fans being more accepting of Victoria's "Treat Myself".
* GrowingTheBeard:
** Though she has not toured at all since then, 2013's Summer Break Tour, a co-headlining tour with Music/BigTimeRush, had shown her growth as a live performer after the previous year's Make It In America Tour, with more energy and stronger live vocals than on the previous tour.
** "Treat Myself", her first single in seven years, has shown significant VocalEvolution and more personal lyrics that help shake off the bubblegum pop sound from her ''Series/{{Victorious}}'' years.
* LGBTFanbase: She became the darling of many gay-friendly social media accounts thanks to her role as Tori Vega in ''Series/{{Victorious}}''. The multiple Instagram stories of her having a blast at Pride certainly help.
* StuckInTheirShadow: She is infamous for having been overshadowed by her co-stars (especially Music/ArianaGrande) on [[Series/{{Victorious}} a show]] created specifically for her. For the longest time, she was dismissed as a footnote in Ariana's success story due to Victoria's lead role making people perceive Ariana as the "underdog" (along with Creator/ElizabethGillies, to a lesser extent), clouding people's ability judge Victoria by her own talents, not helped by her song "Gold" being considered [[SweetnessAversion "too wholesome"]] compared to Ariana's HotterAndSexier direction. As a result, Victoria's music career was presumed dead for seven years. She had been slowly getting out of the shadows by the time "Treat Myself" was released in late 2020, but she still hasn't broken into the mainstream.
* TearJerker: "Treat Myself" can serve as this for those dealing with depression. Equal parts this and awesome.
