''Trapped in Hyperspace'' was a Creator/{{Toonami}} Total Immersion Event that aired from Monday, September 16-Friday, September 20, 2002. It was accompanied by a Flash game on the official Toonami website (which is not online as of now - however the training level was given in a corrupted beta form to a Lost Media Wiki member by one of the developers.)

The plot of the TIE: TOM tests out a new hyperspace function on the Absolution, but a ComputerVirus named Swayzak attacks the ship and traps him in hyperspace, threatening to crash the ship into the Earth. TOM has to find a way to enter the Absolution's systems and fight Swayzak.

----
!!Trapped in Hyperspace contains examples of:
* BadassInDistress: TOM in the last level of the game, where [[spoiler:he's infected by Swayzak too]].
* BrainUploading: Technically how TOM can jack into the systems.
* {{Cyberspace}}: The setting of the game.
* ComputerVirus: Swayzak, who infects the Absolution.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:TOM in the last level of the game, after Swayzak infects him.]]
* FasterThanLightTravel: The Absolution is in hyperspace for most of the arc.
* InsideAComputerSystem: The setting of the game.
* NoNameGiven: Swayzak refuses to tell TOM who he is in episode 1. In the game, he was called "Menace". It isn't until episode 3 that TOM mentions his name is Swayzak.
* NothingIsScarier: At the end of the September 19 broadcast, we see TOM lying on the floor after he's jacked into the last system, and we hear Swayzak's EvilLaugh. [[spoiler:Sure enough, Level 5 informed us that Swayzak infected TOM.]] Doubles as OhCrap.
%%* TheNoughties
* PutOnABus: Swayzak isn't seen after this, aside from a cameo in SARA's review of ''Rez'', but the official Toonami Tumblr hints at him [[TheBusCameBack returning]].
* ShoutOut: The game was reminiscent of ''VideoGame/{{Descent}}'' and ''VideoGame/StarFox''.
