"Lumber Jack-Rabbit" is a 1953 animated short in the WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes series, directed by Creator/ChuckJones and starring WesternAnimation/BugsBunny. It also has the distinction of being the only Looney Tunes cartoon in the Golden Age to be in 3D.

While walking through a humongous forest, Bugs Bunny suddenly finds himself in the carrot patch of the famous giant lumberjack, Myth/PaulBunyan, and comes face-to-face with his equally giant dog, Smidgen.

----
!!"Lumber Jack-Rabbit" provides examples of:

* AnthropomorphicShift: Zigzagged. Smidgen shifts between walking on all fours to his hind legs.
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: While running from Smidgen, Bugs leaps into a hole in the ground, tossing out an earthworm. Said worm has visible eyes, and it's most noticeable when it gives a look of shock upon seeing Smidgen before crawling away. In addition to that, it's colored green instead of the usual pinkish color real earthworms have.
* BFG: After being blown out of the moose call horn by Smidgen, Bugs ends up in the barrel of a giant pistol, which is normal-sized to the giant Smidgen. Smidgen then takes the gun and fires Bugs into a plate of fruits.
* BindleStick: Bugs carries this with him at the start of the short as he wanders straight through the forest and into Paul Bunyan's carrot patch, singing "Jimmy Crack Corn".
* CanineCompanion: Smidgen to Paul Bunyan.
* CanisMajor: Smidgen is the size of your average dog to his master, Paul Bunyan, but to Bugs Bunny, he's as massive as a whale.
* EatenAlive: Subverted. Smidgen devours an apple with Bugs in it, but as he victoriously picks his teeth, the rabbit comes out unharmed on the tip of the toothpick.
* EyeScream: Downplayed. As Bugs is assuming a fighting stance in front of Smidgen's face, the dog tries to flick the rabbit away with his finger, but ends up doing just that to his own eye instead when Bugs jumps up.
* GentleGiant: Paul Bunyan himself, even though he never interacts with Bugs and only Smidgen.
* GiantFood: Paul Bunyan's garden is filled with massive vegetables, including, what else? Carrots. He also has a plate of fruits in his cabin.
* HeelFaceTurn: While Smidgen is just doing his job of guarding his owner's carrot patch and thus not truly evil, he is hostile towards Bugs until the latter relieves him by scratching his skin, after which he then affectionately licks the rabbit near the end of the cartoon like a typical dog would to their owner.
* LogoJoke: As befits a 3D short, the WB shield at the beginning of the cartoon zooms up much closer to the screen than usual before springing back to its usual position.
* MiningForCookies: Bugs realizes he's in a giant carrot patch and declares that he's discovered a "carrot mine." He then proceeds to dig into the carrots and set up a cart and track to haul away the material.
* MooseAreIdiots: When Smidgen tries to blow Bugs out of the moose call horn, the resulting sound catches the attention of a nearby moose, who initially mistakes it for another moose calling and gallops straight towards the source of the noise. However, when it sees Smidgen, who is huge in contrast to the normal-sized moose, the moose panics and vamooses.
* Narrator:
-->"Most everyone has heard of Paul Bunyan, the giant lumberjack. But some people still doubt that old Paul really existed. If you're one of those doubters, you might ask the opinion of a certain rabbit, who happened one day to wander into Paul Bunyan's country."
* Pun: As Bugs tickles Smidgen's nose, he says "What a nosy character".
* ReflectiveEyes: When Bugs walks close to Smidgen's face to confront him, he is seen reflected in one of the giant canine's eyes.
* SillyAnimalSound: The moose neighs like a horse as it gallops towards what it thinks is a female moose calling, and whimpers like a dog when it runs away after encountering Smidgen.
* SneezeOfDoom: While Smidgen sniffs a hole in hopes of detecting Bugs, the latter, who really is in that hole, tickles the dog's nose with a feather, causing Smidgen to stand up (sucking up Bugs into his nose in the process) and sneeze, propelling Bugs into Paul Bunyan's cabin and into a moose call horn.
* SwallowedWhole: Narrowly avoided. Smidgen eats the entire apple Bugs is stuck in, grabbing a toothpick feeling assured his pest problem has been taken care of. Bugs comes out unharmed on the top of the toothpick to Smidgen's shock and anger.
* ThatMakesMeFeelAngry: When Bugs comes face-to-face with Smidgen, he briefly lets out a panicked yelp, but then says...
--> Bugs: I'll be scared later. Right now, I'm too mad.
* TunnelKing: Bugs burrows through a giant carrot in Paul Bunyan's carrot patch, and later has managed to do the same to most of the other carrots as he pushes a minecart filled with carrot chunks.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Paul Bunyan doesn't appear again for the rest of the cartoon after he leaves Smidgen in charge of guarding the carrot patch. Then again, he did say that he will see Smidgen again tonight.
