''Garden Party'' is a 2016 animated short film (seven minutes) directed by--take a deep breath--Victor Caire, Gabriel Grapperson, Florian Babikian, Vincent Bayoux, Theophile Dufresne, and Lucas Navarro.

The six animators listed above are French student animators who created this short at film school. A frog is swimming gracefully in a brackish, leaf-choked swimming pool. A toad hopping about in the bushes notices the frog, and follows it as the frog hops out of the swimming pool, into the opulent mansion next to the swimming pool.

The frog and toad seem to enjoy themselves inside the mansion, hopping around, eating all the food that is set out on the table. Being amphibians, they don't stop to note that the food doesn't exactly look fresh and also has flies buzzing around it. Nor do they pay attention to the bullet holes everywhere, or the phone dangling off the hook, or to the obvious signs that the place has been ransacked...

* AbandonedArea: A house that is empty of people, with bullet holes in the windows and a shot-out security camera. Food out that looks like a dinner party might have been interrupted. Clothes spilled out everywhere, an open safe.
* AllCGICartoon: Done in an exceptionally realistic manner that looks like live-action. Really the only thing that looks cartoony is the dead body.
* BigEater: The big fat toad, that gorges itself on caviar and oysters. The payoff comes when the big toad squeezes into a jar of candies, eats the candies, and gets so fat that it can't get out of the jar. We see the toad and the jar rolling across the table, and we hear a crash of breaking glass offscreen.
* BigGuyLittleGuy: The big fat toad seems to regard the little frog as a leader, and follows it around.
* BlackComedy: Frogs and toads hopping around having adventures and looking silly, in a mansion where some sort of violent crime obviously went down.
* HelpImStuck: The fat toad gets stuck in a jar. Luckily it's on a table so it's able to free itself by rolling off the table and smashing the jar on the floor.
* OffscreenCrash: The jar with the toad stuck in it rolls out of camera frame, and we hear the crash of breaking glass offscreen.
* PeekABooCorpse: Well the frogs aren't really running from danger, but the audience is certainly expecting it. And despite all the foreshadowing it still comes as a shock when the frogs turn on the jets in the pool and send the rotting corpse of the owner of the house floating to the surface.
* PoliceAreUseless: Where the hell are the cops? The brackish filth of the pool and the corpse's advanced state of decomposition indicate that the murder (murders?) took place quite some time ago.
