''[[http://scarletandemerald.cfw.me/ Scarlet & Emerald]]'' was a very short lived gag-a-day webcomic created in 2016 by Tropers/DeathlyTaco. It follows the quirky daily lives of the titular [[CloudCuckooLander Scarlet]] and her green cat [[DeadpanSnarker Emer]][[TheStraightMan ald]]. Four strips were posted over a single week, then the comic stopped updating.

!!This webcomic shows examples of:
* AshFace: Emerald after accidentally being doused with fire.
* CatsAreMean: When airing grievances (justified or otherwise), Emerald [[BrutalHonesty doesn't hold back]], as seen in "Cultural Appropriation" where he harshly berates Scarlet's laziness. He's also generally in a [[DeadpanSnarker sour]] mood, reacting to Scarlet's bizarre antics with passive-aggressive snark.
* CatsAreSnarky: Emerald plays the role of the DeadpanSnarker.
* CloudCuckooLander: Scarlet. Anyone who enjoys consuming ''bleach'' and [[TheresNoKillLikeOverkill uses a flamethrower against]] ''[[TheresNoKillLikeOverkill pantry moths]]'' has to qualify.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: [[http://scarletandemerald.cfw.me/comics/1/ Scarlet loves the taste of her breakfast.]] She really, REALLY does.
* ExtremeOmnivore: The debut strip shows Scarlet eating a bowl of uncooked marcaroni as breakfast cereal... [[MasochistsMeal with]] ''[[MasochistsMeal bleach]]'' [[MasochistsMeal in place of milk]]. [[NightmareFetishist She loves it]] and [[MadeOfIron doesn't seem harmed by it]].
* FireBreathingWeapon: Fire in a Can. Technically, it more closely resembles a MolotovCocktail, but is used like a flamethrower: Scarlet ''dumps the fire out'', as if it were some kind of liquid.
* FieryRedhead: Scarlet, [[http://scarletandemerald.cfw.me/comics/3/ quite literally in fact]].
--->'''Scarlet:''' [[PrecisionFStrike FUCK YOU]], "THERE WON'T BE KILLING WITH FIRE"!
* GodivaHair: As a ShamelessFanserviceGirl, Scarlet has to have this.
* HartmanHips: Scarlet is drawn with these.
* KillItWithFire: Scarlet's solution to a pantry moth infestation. Emerald is less than pleased.
* LadyInRed: Scarlet is shown wearing red in [[http://deathlytaco.deviantart.com/art/Scarlet-and-Emerald-604204881 this artwork]] and has red hair, so naturally she's [[FieryRedhead strong-willed]] and [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl comfortable in her own skin]].
* LivingADoubleLife: [[spoiler:Scarlet is revealed to be an undercover agent of some kind in the aptly named [[http://scarletandemerald.webcomic.ws/comics/pl/661897 "Secret Agent"]].]]
* MeaningfulName: Scarlet is a LadyInRed, and Emerald is a green cat.
* OneWayVisor: [[spoiler:Scarlet wears one as part of her agent attire.]]
* OralFixation: [[spoiler:Also as part of her agent attire, she can be seen chewing a sprig of wheat.]]
* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Scarlet never bothers putting on clothes when she's in the house. Exploited in "Cultural Appropriation" when Emerald complains that Scarlet is "day in and day out, lazing around on [her] naked ass like a beached whale,". [[HypocriticalHumor He's a cat]].
* SomethingElseAlsoRises: "Breakfast with Scarlet" shows us that Scarlet has a mushroom growing on her dining room windowsill. When she has her [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything "interesting"]] reaction to the taste of her food, the aforementioned mushroom has a [[RagingStiffie peculiar response of its own]].
* ShoutOut: In "Breakfast with Scarlet", there's a stuffed cat on Scarlet's bed that looks suspiciously like Monokuma from ''Franchise/{{Danganronpa}}''.
** In "Secret Agent", Scarlet mentions seeing a cartoon where a seemingly innocuous pet platypus is actually an undercover agent who fights a MadScientist. [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Seem familiar?]]
* SpyCatsuit: [[spoiler:When revealed to be a secret agent, Scarlet dons a variation of this outfit. It's a red suit that resembles a leotard, and comes with Class A ZettaiRyouiki.]]
* TalkingAnimal: Emerald.
* TheStraightMan: Emerald typically plays the deadpan, sarcastic voice of reason to contrast Scarlet's CloudCuckooLander antics.
