[[PokemonNoRakuen Pokemon no Rakuen]] is a fanmade Pokemon webcomic by Ookami/Mizuuma hosted on Deviantart and Smackjeeves. It was first posted online in 2007 and can be found here http://pokemon-no-rakuen.smackjeeves.com/comics/234705/pages-1-2/ and here http://pokemon-no-rakuen.deviantart.com/art/Pokemon-no-Rakuen-Pages-1-2-57032314

It's a PG-13 comic about a human boy named Gray Rakuen who dislikes Pokemon and wants to get a girlfriend. Everything changes when his mother gives him a [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Totodile]] and tosses him out on his butt to go on a Pokemon journey.

Gray discovers he has the power to turn any Pokemon near him into Gijinka (Pokemon in Human form) and sets off to find out why he has this power. Along the way he'll battle wild Pokemon, a criminal group (Team Missile) and even begin to warm up to Pokemon in general.

!! This comic contains the following tropes:
* AbsurdlySharpClaws: Scythe's scythes have cut through entire bodies.
%%* ACupAngst: Ame and Chomper/Mawile.
%%* TheAce: Scythe.
%%* ActionPet: It's a Pokemon webcomic.
* AlternateContinuity: The PCBC comics are non-canon but still contain information that ties into the main comic. Including spoiling who future members of Gray's party would be.
%%* AllMenArePerverts
%%* AmbiguousGender: Wem.
* ArtEvolution: The beginning of the story is drawn in color pencil. It switched over to pen and ink, digital screen tone, back to pen and ink, dramatic shading and so on. The author seems to experiment every few pages with another coloring method. The line art itself has also changed a lot since the comic first began.
* AuthorAppeal: The artist enjoys drawing girly or androgynous characters. Bonus points if no one can figure out what gender they are.
* BerserkButton:
** Mentioning Team Missile near Hiki.
** While Scythe enjoys acting feminine to flirt with Gray, he does NOT like being mistaken for a girl.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Scythe may look frail and dainty but he's utterly ruthless in battle.
-->'''Scythe:''' [[RunningGag Ew~ Beedrill guts!]]
* BizarreAlienBiology: Scythe's 'hands' and the other Pokemon's non-human body parts.
%%* BlankWhiteEyes: Master of Death.
* BraidsOfAction: Spark, after Gray braids his hair so it stays out of the way.
%%* CampGay: Fence.
* ChildhoodFriends: [[spoiler: Gray]] and [[spoiler: Wem]], though the former doesn't remember this leading to a [[ForgottenFirstMeeting forgotten first meeting]].
* ChildhoodMarriagePromise: [[spoiler: Gray]] apparently made one to [[spoiler: Wem]] but doesn't remember it.
%%* ChildrenAreInnocent: Jaws even tries to make friends with the enemy.
%%* {{Claustrophobia}}: [[spoiler: Scythe]] suffers from this.
%%* ClingyJealousGirl: Scythe.
* CrossOver: Pokemon no Rakuen apparently takes place in the same world as the author's other comic [[AdventuresOfLumAndFriends Adventures of Lum and Friends]].
%%* CurbStompBattle: Scythe vs nearly anything.
%%* CuteLittleFangs: Jaws.
%%* CutenessOverload: Jaws tends to cause this.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: Several characters, every now and then.
%%* DesperatelyCravesAffection: Quite a few characters are this secretly.
* DissonantSerenity: Scythe can smile sweetly while covered in the blood and guts of his victims.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: Scythe, who purposely plays with it to flirt with Gray.
* EmbarrassingNickname: Gray was thinking of naming one of his Pokemon "Fluffy" but they adamantly refused to be called this.
%%* EmotionalMaturityIsPhysicalMaturity: According to a Q&A, this is how the Pokemon's Human forms are decided.
* {{Expy}}: According to the author, all the Gym leaders are alternate versions of characters from her other comics.
%%* {{Fanservice}}: The bath pages.
%%* GirlishPigtails: Wem.
* GoodIsNotNice: Scythe is technically a good guy... who likes tearing his opponents open so their entrails splatter on the ground.
* HappinessInSlavery: Several. Scythe is perfectly happy to be Gray's Pokemon and [[spoiler: Ame]] purposely captured herself.
%%* HatesBeingAlone: Jaws, Scythe, Hiki... the list goes on.
%%* IdiotHair: Scythe, although he's not an idiot.
* ImprobableHairstyle: Gray's hair seems to be getting more wild and spiky as the comic goes on.
* ImmortalityBeginsAtTwenty: Subverted, after reaching 30 years of age a Pokemon will age normally like a human. Unless it's a Legendary Pokemon who are basically immortal.
* InterspeciesRomance: Gray can't get a human girlfriend but he seems to be a Pokemon-magnet.
%%* ItsAllAboutMe: Spark.
%%* KillItWithFire:
%%** Hiki's method of battle.
%%--->'''Hiki:''' Blaze Kick- Break Dance Style!
%%** Tobi the Fire gym leader has this as well.
%%--->'''Tobi:''' I heard all of Zeh City has the fire department on speed dial!
%%* LeeroyJenkins
%%* LevelGrinding: Off screen.
%%* LongHairedPrettyBoy: Spark and Legend.
%%* LoyalAnimalCompanion: This IS a Pokemon webcomic after all.
* MoeAnthropomorphism: All Pokemon near Gray will take a human form.
%%* MoodWhiplash: Hiki's introduction sort of comes as this since up until that point the comic was mostly humor.
* NakedOnArrival: Jaws. It was explained years later in a Q&A that the 'clothes' a Pokemon wears when they go human form aren't 'real' and thus they'll sometimes disappear.
%%* {{Narcissist}}: Spark.
%%* NoBiologicalSex: Any Pokemon with no real sex/gender.
%%* {{Nosebleed}}: Gray has these often.
%%* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace: Some Pokemon.
%%* OlderThanTheyLook: Both subverted and played straight since Pokemon "age rather strangely".
%%* OnlySaneMan: Gray.
%%* PowerMakesYourHairGrow: Tends to happen.
%%* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: Scythe.
%%* ReallyWasBornYesterday: Jaws is only a few months old.
%%* ShipTease
%%* ShoutOut: Mother Frickin' Falco Punch!
%%** Professor Maple: "A Wailord and a Skitty!" (When talking about Pokemon mating)
%%* SinisterScythe: Scythe's arms.
%%* StalkerWithACrush: [[spoiler: Mew?]]
%%* SlasherSmile: Scythe.
%%* SpikyHair: Gray and Tobi.
* StupidSexyFlanders: Although Gray claims to be straight he is quite attracted to Scythe. Though Scythe is very feminine looking. The author has stated Gray might be secretly Bi and hasn't noticed.
* TalkingAnimal: Any Pokemon that's been near Gray long enough seems to gain the power to talk even when in Pokemon form.
* TeamRocket: Team Missile is the badguy organization in this comic.
%%* TaremeEyes
%%* TentacleRope
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: The author used to draw all females with 3 eye lashes on each eye. It was the only way to confirm a character's gender. Later this was dropped, making it more difficult to determine genders.
%%* TheCasanova: Spark.
%%* {{Tsundere}} : Gray actually shows hints of this, in a non-romance type of way towards his Pokemon.
%%* TsurimeEyes
%%* UndyingLoyalty: Pokemon towards their Trainers normally.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: Scythe and Wem. While Scythe is just a very girly looking boy, Wem was originally planned to be male but the author changed her mind and made them female, then changed her mind again and currently Wem is of indeterminate gender because the author figured it didn't matter either way.
* VerbalTic: Jaws tends to end his sentences with 'To.'
%%* VillainsOutShopping: Literally.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: Though Scythe is technically not cross-dressing so much as he wears very ambiguously gendered clothing, which combined with his [[DudeLooksLikeALady girlish appearance]] gives off this vibe.
%%* WouldHitAGirl: Scythe.
%%* {{Yandere}} : Scythe shows some signs of this... or he's just a very possessive {{Tsundere}}.
* YaoiFangirl: Ame seems to be one since she supports/ships Gray x Scythe.
