''[[http://nameremoved.com/comics/ [NAME REMOVED] ]]'' is an inactive webcomic by Nick Wolfe. It follows a group of creatures living in the city of Desperonto; fulfilling various roles, usually with BlackComedy involved; and being in unexplained and often unresolved scenarios.

The comic started in 2005 as true gag-a-day, but for most of its life was dominated by the "Variations" storyline. Wolfe would receive a prompt from a fan and make three separate comics based off of it. For example: [[http://nameremoved.com/comics/430/ Muffins]], [[http://nameremoved.com/comics/431/ Muffins]], and [[http://nameremoved.com/comics/432/ Muffins]].

The main characters (some information derived from [[http://nameremoved.com/about/ character page]]):
* '''Rabid:''' A stubby monster with a yellow head, fangs, and a red pinecone-shaped body. Lives a normal adult life, is often abrasive, and gets into the most absurd situations.
* '''Rabish:''' [[DistaffCounterpart Looks the same as Rabid, except with a pink body and added pink bow.]] Often more rational than Rabid, but can sometimes be more [[DeadpanSnarker deadpan]].
* '''Dr. German Quickly''': Named after a German textbook -- "Learn German Quickly" -- and sporting BigOlEyebrows, Dr. Quickly is an inventor who works ForScience and whose inventions often cause trouble. Apparently used to be a private detective in our world.
* '''Rabot:''' A robot created by Dr Quickly who rebelled against his master. Usually the StraightMan to the above characters.
* '''Noël Mauvais:''' An AffablyEvil black blob—minus the "Evil" part--also known as "Terrible Christmas" and "Black Ecksmas". She is also relatively straight laced.
* '''Space Frog:''' A frog from space. Does not look like an Earth frog. [[{{Cloudcuckoolander}} Easily the wackiest character in the cast]], with an odd speech pattern and a body that seemingly never ends.

The comic abruptly went on hiatus in 2012 and is still on hiatus to this day. A new storyline, "Whatever Happened to Name Removed?" was just beginning.

----
!! The comics contain examples of:

* AbsurdPhobia: In one strip, Rabish becomes afraid of birds after watching Rabid get eaten by a [[FeatheredFiend giant penguin]].
* ArtShift: Plenty of comics later in the comic's life experiment with different coloring styles--such as [[http://nameremoved.com/comics/799/ greyscale]] or [[http://nameremoved.com/comics/587/ only four colors]].
* BigOlEyebrows: Quickly's most defining feature is his thin, curly eyebrows. A variation was made based on them, which involves him losing and replacing them, Rabid inheriting them, and him using them to set up camp.
* BlackComedy: The comic's main source of humor is watching the characters suffer or die horrifically. Its NegativeContinuity means that suffering and dying horrifically can be a natural occurence.
* CallASmeerpARabbit: Space Frog looks more like an alligator than a frog--but as it turns out, that's just what frogs look like in space.
* CapsLock: Space Frog (along with the other space frogs) speak in all caps and with no punctuation. When Rabid and Rabish get turned into space frogs in one strip, they inherit it.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Space Frog, being from space, is a walking (floating?) enigma. He speaks in punctuation-less all caps, is very childish, and is the source of the comic's most SurrealHumor.
* GenieInABottle: One variation featured the "Mustard Genie", a floating mustard squirt straight out of the bottle, who is rejected by Rabid despite being [[BenevolentGenie benevolent]]. Meanwhile, Rabot gets screwed over by a "space genie" (Space Frog), who is clearly [[JackassGenie not so]].
* GrandTheftMe: One variation depicts Rabid getting trapped inside Rabish's body after "a nasty ping-pong incident". Either the ping-pong ball ends up housing his soul, ''she'' ends up inside the ping-pong ball (which becomes a Magic8Ball), or he begins to act like how he perceives ladies on television.
* MadScientist: Dr. Quickly's inventions often do more harm than good, even getting him convicted in one strip for multiple crimes against humanity.
* NegativeContinuity: ''Every single strip'' is an entirely new story. There is no correlation between them aside from the variation ideas, and their scenarios never have any explanation to them.
* PeopleZoo: In one strip in the "Frogonomics" variation, Space Frog buys Rabid and Rabish's planet and puts them on display in a zoo.
* SurrealHumor: The comic has no real structure to it--things simply happen without any explanation. That is where the other portion of the humor derives from.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: The only things setting apart Rabish from Rabid are a pink body and pink bow.
