!! This webcomic contains examples of:

* AcePilot: Hunter
* BadBoss: Herr Hacket doesn't appear to know any management techniques beyond bullying and threatening his subordinates.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Hunter
* CunningLinguist: Nikos often translates between Hunter and Sakis, as he speaks both Greek and English.
* DeadpanSnarker: Nikos and sometimes Hunter
* DeathGlare: When Hunter faces off some Nazis, among other occurences.
* DisapprovingLook: Nikos, all the time
* DrJerk: While Nikos is extremely good as a doctor and surgeon, he has no bedside manner and he dispenses death threats as frequently as he does medical services.
* Eagleland: The American protagonist Hunter is a downplayed Type 1. While unquestionably brave, skilled, and moral, he's just one of many in the northern Greek highlands, fighting against the Nazis.
* FatBastard: Herr Hacket, who is extremely overweight and a Nazi officer.
* FunetikAksent: Sakis and Toula
* HospitalHottie: Maria.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Nikos will do everything in his capacity to help a patient. He is also {{theMedic}} .
* JustPlaneWrong: P-51 Mustangs did not fly off of aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean. While it's possible to launch a land-based plane from that era off an aircraft carrier from that era--it was done in the Doolittle Raid and Operation Torch--a P-51 could never land on a carrier because it lacked the tailhook necessary to snag the arrestor wires.
* KnightinSourArmor: Despite his cynical attitude [[DrJerk less than rosy bedside manner]], Nikos will not rest as long as he has the opportunity to help people. As he puts it, "Those who had a chance to live, still do."
* LaResistance: Set in Greece, they aid Hunter.
* NaiveNewcomer: Though far from naive or inexperienced, Hunter is the only foreigner in the village.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: While most of the characters have realistic human proportions, Herr Hacket is an exaggerated wad of fat, sweat, and slobbering hate. Even the other Nazis in the comic look like regular people, but Hacket wears his atrocities on his disgusting sleeve.
* ThoseWackyNazis: A very serious version. They occupy the area with a steel hand.
* WarIsHell: Established early on, as the heroic American pilot Hunter barely survives a crash after a tense dogfight, is retrieved as a bloody, battered wreck, and spends the next few days in traction and excruciating pain. None of this is even remotely sanitized.
