''School of Thrones'' is a three-episode parody of the HBO series ''Series/GameOfThrones'', and its source material ''Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire''. At Westeros Valley High School, the various cliques are extremely SeriousBusiness, and prepare to go to war over who will be crowned Prom King and Queen. Sansa Stark crosses family lines to team up with Joffrey Lannister, while brothers Stannis and Renly Baratheon find their longtime sibling rivalry coming to a head. New girl Dany Targaryen has seen this sort of thing happen at too many other schools, and determines the only thing to do is to take control of everything herself.

!!''School of Thrones'' provides examples of:
%%* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Sansa's attraction to Joffrey.
* AbsurdlyDividedSchool: The cliques of Westeros Valley High are highly exclusive and competitive, such that people from other cliques have to sneak into each others' parties and prom night risks turning into a blood bath. [[spoiler: Theon is even humiliated by the rest of the Greyjoy swim team for running on the same prom ticket as Robb Stark, forcing him to betray his best dude forever... at least, for a bit.]]
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Like in the sourse material, Baelish never got over Sansa's mother. [[spoiler: In addition, Jon's attempt to ask Dany out gets turned down, since Dany already has a boyfriend.]]
* BadassBiker: Drogo is apparently one in this version, since he shows up at the end of the series on one and rides off with his girlfriend Dany.
* ButtMonkey: Theon Greyjoy is so disliked by everyone except Robb that when he speaks his own name, the whole room starts hissing, booing and throwing debris at him.
* ContrivedCoincidence: The information from [[spoiler:the Burn Book]] that everyone ended up with, given the completely random means by which it was distributed. Jon ended up with something about a certain Sam Tarly, the Baratheon brothers got the information about each other, Joffrey got something about Sansa and Theon received his own info.
* CrashIntoHello: Sansa crashes into Dany in episode 1, setting up an immediate ShipTease between Jon and Dany.
* CrystalDragonJesus: The worship of Rh'llor here is along the lines of a Christian campus club, most likely a Mormon one, in light of Stannis' dress sense and the indication that believers in Rh'llor don't drink alcohol. [[spoiler:Except they're following canon and Melisandre is pregnant out of wedlock.]]
* DatingWhatDaddyHates: Sansa decides to date Joffrey, even though Robb points out their father would not approve.
* DemotedToExtra: Jaime Lannister, a major character in the source material, is only a sight gag as some sort of campus security.
%%* DodgyToupee: Dany, as Lampshaded in episode one. Jon's isn't much better.
%%* DrillSergeantNasty: Balon Greyjoy as the swim coach.
* EurekaMoment:
** Sansa literally says "Epiphany," when it dawns on her how terrible Joffrey is and how silly the fight over Prom King and Queen is.
** [[spoiler: Theon has one when he sees the burn book entry about him not having friends and jumps in to save Robb.]]
* EverybodyLives: [[spoiler:The much feared Prom Night passes without any deaths, dismemberments, or other serious injures. Quite a twist for something related to ''Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire'']].
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: Baelish and Catelyn Tully did, and it's implied Ned Stark did too as, in Baelish's words, Catelyn and him were to be prom dates, but ultimately Catelyn decided his clique was beneath the Tully's.
%%* EvilBrit: The one guy sticking with his canon accent, vice principal Petyr Baelish, is also arguably the most conniving.
%%* FagHag: Margaery, at Renly's kegger.
* FlippingTheBird: Varys does this to Baelish at the prom, and the latter answers with a DeathGlare. Considering their rivalry in the source material, they are probably SitcomArchNemesis to each other here.
* ForeignExchangeStudent: Dany is said to be this in her introduction, though it's never said where she's from. This helps justify why she needs to be introduced to the cliques of Westeros Valley high, and her constant moving around after out-of-control prom nights gives her motive to "burn down" the prom.
* GangOfHats: How the series deals with the Houses of the books/tv series (and their tendency toward PlanetOfHats): the Starks are hipsters, the Lannisters are the Rich Kids with a PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy motif, the Baratheons are fratboys (with the exception of Stannis, who is a Mormon), and the Greyjoys are the swim team.
%%* GranolaGirl: Melisandre.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Theon and Robb are BEST DUDES FOREVER!!
* HighSchoolAU: The show is essentially ''Series/GameOfThrones'' set in an American high school, with many of the characters (except Petyr Baelish) turned into teenagers.
%%* {{Hipster}}: The Starks. Their ways are the vintage ways.
* JerkJock: Renly, who has no respect or sympathy for his brother Stannis... until Dany reveals the Burn Book about [[StraightGay his relationship with Loras]].
%%* KnightTemplarBigBrother: Robb is one to Sansa.
* MostDefinitelyNotAVillain: Theon's attempt to sneak into Renly's party with Robb while [[PaperThinDisguise disguised as Baratheons]].
%%* NaiveEverygirl: Sansa.
%%* PrettyBoy: Loras
* {{Pyromaniac}}: Sansa asks if Dany is one, in response to her talk of taking over the school with Fire and Blood.
%%* ShirtlessScene: The whole point of the Greyjoys.
* ShoutOut:
** Tyrion's MemeticBadass status is acknowleged in-universe, Film/MeanGirls style. And then there's [[spoiler:the Burn Book in ep. 3.]]
** "[[Film/TheBreakfastClub Inside every one of us is a Targaryen, Lannister, Baratheon, Greyjoy and Stark.]]"
* SiblingRivalry: Stannis and Renly are both competing for the title of Prom King, and Renly pranks his brother more than once.
* StealthPun:
** When [[spoiler:Petyr Baelish]] declares himself Prom King, Jaime Lannister jumps him. [[TheOathbreaker Remember what Jaime's also called?]]
** In Episode 2, Renly Baratheon throws a truly righteous kegger filled to the rafters with high school and college-aged students. What's another name for this kind of social event? [[spoiler: A ''stag party!'']]
* {{Stripperiffic}}: The Greyjoys are always in those speedos. ''Always.''
%%* TotallyRadical: Joffrey, and Renly to a lesser degree.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Renly loves peaches, a nod to the peach in the confrontation scene between the brothers in the books.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: ...so who won prom king? [[spoiler:At the end of episode 3, Baelish runs out of the school and declares that Sansa won prom queen...[[ReplacementGoldfish with Baelish himself as her prom king.]] He is then dragged away by Jaime.]]
