''January 2020, Pakistan conquered Tajikistan.''

On March 4, 2019, [[https://www.facebook.com/WorldWarBot-2020-794895987563572/ WorldWarBot 2020]] was created as a Facebook bot that simulates a war between all the countries of the world (well, most of them. Some micronations weren't included and larger territories were counted as countries.) Once an hour, a random country will conquer another country, until only one country is left standing.

The creator of the bot also created two spin-offs to the original bot: [[https://www.facebook.com/ItaliaGuerraBot-2020-2566342470259302/ ItalianGuerillaBot 2020]] and [[https://www.facebook.com/CivilWarBot-2020-1134038920127038/ CivilWarBot 2020]].

!![=WorldWarBot=] has conquered the following tropes:

* AlternateHistoryWank: A lot of smaller countries managed to do very well in the conflict. For instance, Lesotho managed to conquer all of Africa, Brunei and New Caledonia became major powers in Asia and Paraguay managed to conquer the entirety of the Western Hemisphere and [[spoiler: eventually the world.]]
* ArtisticLicenseGeography: Antarctica and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands are both capable of conquering other countries, despite having populations of zero.
* CensoredTitle: Whenever Niger is conquered, the country name shows up as [=[REDACTED]=].
* CoolGate: In November 2023, Bangladesh conquered Bhutan without conquering India. Following this, it became a running joke that any time a country conquered another territory it didn't border, that they were using portals for the invasion, with the page banner at one point reading [='Bangladesh Discovers Portals.'=]
* ForeverWar: Despite being called [=WorldWarBot=] ''2020'', the conflict has dragged on into at least the 2070s.
* PolarPenguins: Since Antarctica is considered a country in this, the comments depict its army as penguins.
* TakeOverTheWorld: The eventual goal of whichever country is left standing.
