''Pokémon Ralphie'' is a series of shorts by WebAnimation/{{Dorkly|Originals}} parodying the ''Franchise/{{Pokemon}}'' franchise while also telling an original story.

The story focuses on a middle-aged man named Ralphie, a former Bug-Catcher who has delusions about being Red's number one rival and who is intent on proving it. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUqP5xnwstc The series can be found here.]] It is a SpiritualSuccessor to ''WebAnimation/PokemonRusty'', with the titular hero voiced by the same person.

----
!!This series contains examples of:
* AndIMustScream: Ralphie's Metapod, which spent the last twenty years without evolving to his Butterfree form or ''even receiving medical treatment''. He's shown to be covered in bruises and scars. The only move he can use is ''Struggle'' and he damages himself with the recoil from this move. The worst part is that Ralphie could have taken him to a Pokémon Center and instantly healed him free of charge at any time during the last two decades, but didn't.
* BabiesEverAfter: Apparently Red had two children.
* BadPeopleAbuseAnimals: Ralphie does not treat his Metapod well. See AndIMustScream above.
* CrossoverPunchline: The end of the final episode [[spoiler: has Ralphie killed by [[WebAnimation/PokemonRusty Rusty during his jailbreak]].]]
* DownerEnding: [[spoiler: After Todd calls him out for his complete incompetence as a Pokémon trainer, Ralphie decides to focus on something he's actually good at: [[IgnoredEpiphany killing people]]. So he shoves Red off the roof of his skyscraper [[MadeOfIron (which Red somehow survives)]] [[LaserGuidedKarma before he's finally arrested and sent to prison]], where he's been telling his story to another inmate, who helps Ralphie ''finally'' realize what a monumental asshole he was. But just as he decides to turn his life around, [[HeelFaceDoorSlam he's unceremoniously killed by Peanut Butter as he busts Rusty out]]. There's also no indication that Todd won't be stuck as a BlobMonster. However, Ralphie's death could be averted after Peanut Butter eventually undoes all the damage he causes, making this more of a BittersweetEnding.]]
** Also possibly averted: [[spoiler: considering Ralphie is a psychopath and murderer, even if he does recognize that in the end, it's arguably good that he is killed at the end of the series.]]
* {{Expy}}: Detective Squirtle is one of VideoGame/DetectivePikachu.
* FailedASpotCheck: When Ralphie is bragging about knowing all 151 Pokémon,[[note]]there are 802 Pokémon as of Gen VII, which is when the series was made[[/note]] he's oblivious to the Lopunny calendar in the background, which is a Gen IV Pokémon.
* HeroAntagonist: Upon seeing Ralphie, Bill denounces him as a kidnapper and a murderer before tackling him.
--> '''Bill''': We need to send this psychopath to prison!
* HairTodayGoneTomorrow: Ralphie's balding and wears his hair in a comb-over.
* HappilyMarried: Red. When bragging about his life in a high school reunion, he states that he is married to a "super hot wife" and that he has "two actual genius [[BabiesEverAfter children]]". He also considers this to be his biggest accomplishment; even bigger than becoming Pokémon Master of the world and starting a wildly successful business.
* HardboiledDetective: Detective [[UnfortunateNames Dick Squirts]], a Squirtle who consists of about 60% cop cliches and 40% slapping people. VideoGame/DetectivePikachu was busy.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: Immediately after a fellow prisoner makes Ralphie realize the error of his ways, and Ralphie resolves to be better and a force of good in the world, [[spoiler:he's killed in the wreckage of Rusty's prison break-out.]]
* IdiotHero: While calling him a ''hero'' might be a stretch, Ralphie absolutely is an idiot. He apparently didn't graduate High School (the diploma on his wall says GED APPLICANT), and it seems to be because Ralphie isn't even trying to improve himself or learn new things.
* InsufferableImbecile: Even ignoring how man people he gets killed in the process, Ralphie's idiocy and ego makes him so intolerable that Todd has little patience for him
* LoserProtagonist: Ralphie Jones, of course.
* MistakenForPedophile: Ralphie's unfortunate choice of boast to Red's son:
-->'''Ralphie:''' Pull up those big boy pants, kiddo, cause it's time for a spanking.\
'''Todd:''' What a weird thing to say to a child you barely know.
* MyFriendsAndZoidberg: Red states that his only rival is "Blue! ... and no one else!".
* NominalHero: Ralphie has no redeeming qualities and constantly hurts anything in his path. He's also the main character.
* NoodleIncident: Red at one point [[VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver stood on Mt. Silver for a year straight]].
* NotAllowedToGrowOld: While Ralphie is balding and overweight after 20 years, Red and Bill don't look like they've aged a day despite being older than him (since they use sprites based on those from ''VideoGame/PokemonFireRedAndLeafGreen'').
* PottyFailure: [[InsistentTerminology It's called a feeble bladder and it's medical!]]
* {{Retirony}}:
** The cop at the end of the third episode goes on about how his wife is pregnant with their eighth child and how he's about to retire, just before he and his partner are crushed by the Machamp being ridden by Ralphie and Red's son.
** The four cops in the S.S. Anne barricade were having a group retirement party that night, and Detective Squirtle took them because he "thought it would be an easy bust." They all die when Ralphie rams his car into the barricade.
* RidiculouslySuccessfulFutureSelf: Red apparently became head of a multi-million dollar Master Ball company.
* ShoutOut: [[spoiler: Todd's monstrous form, after being fed a Rare Candy by Ralphie, resembles [[StealthPun Raremon]] from ''Franchise/{{Digimon}}''.]]
* SmallNameBigEgo: Ralphie's defeat at Red's hands fundamentally broke his understanding of his own self-worth. What he insists was an epic battle is remembered (if at all) as Red beating some kid who peed his pants upon losing.
* StealthSequel: [[spoiler: The series finale ends at the same time the last season of Rusty starts. When the Perfect Bidoof helps Rusty escape from jail. Killing Ralphie in the process.]]
* TakeThat: Ralphie is one to "genwunners," Pokémon fans who only know or care about the first generation and never bothered looking into anything after it.
* TechnologyMarchesOn: In-universe. Ralphie is surprised by mega-evolutions, as they didn't have those when he was a kid and he didn't bother to improve his abilities at all. Red's son also shows him a Ride Pager.
* TeleporterAccident: How Bill dies.
* TrailOfBlood: After getting Red's son hit by a car and then kidnapping him, the police are able to track him down because Ralphie left a trail of blood from the scene of the crime to the warehouse he is hiding in.
* UnknownRival: Ralphie, to Red.
* WhamLine:
--> '''Red's son''': [[spoiler: Rare Candies don't work on humans, Ralphie! I wouldn't evolve unless...I was a...Pokemon..]]
* WorthyOpponent: Red considers Blue this, in contrast to [[UnknownRival Ralphie]].
