[=NextG=] (real name Matt de Rojas, a.k.a. KT Cannon) is a retired producer of YouTubePoop, known for his titular series of [=YTP=] entitled ''[=NextG=] Poop''. He was inspired to make the series after gaining a positive reception for a video entitled ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggiX-GHEYOM NextG's Most Random Video Ever!]]'', which is self-described as "A bunch of things compiled into one video, all completely random and stupid." Which sums up the essence of ''[=NextG=] Poop'' fairly well: sometimes surreal cocktails of clips from television, animation, film, music and plenty of [[BuffySpeak other stuff]]. It officially debuted on July 20, 2007, and is likely the pioneer of the pooping subgenre "Analogue Poop", for its home video/[=VHS=]-esque style and usage of self-archived sources[[note]]As in, self-recorded from television and videotapes[[/note]].

The series officially ended on June 27, 2012, but other poops on the [=NextG=] channel continued to be produced, such as:

* ''Specials''; multiple-part poops, allowing for more humor and clips with a longer timeframe. The very first episode of the series was a special, and between the series' airtime a total of 5 specials were produced - ''[=NextG=]'s Big Show What a Thrill Congratulations!'', ''[=NextG=] (What Doesn't Kill Ya Makes Ya) Poop'', ''[=NextG=] Presents...An Hour of Happy!'', ''[=NextG=] Poop Remix'' (a deliberate attempt to make new jokes out of previously-used sources), and ''Everybody Now!'' (a 5-part special that's half-[=NextG=] Poop, half-[=YTP=] collaboration). The truly final poop from [=NextG=] as a whole is also a special, "[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies".
* ''Series/{{KYTV}}''; a homage to Creator/TheBBC series of the same name, simulating a low-budget, technical-difficulty-ridden television network that airs "poopified" game shows.
* ''In 30 Seconds'', 30-second (or slightly more) recaps of [=NextG=] Poops.
* ''[=NXPQuickie=]'', even shorter [=NextG=] Poops.

It all came to an end with ''[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies'' in 2016. While he no longer produces [[YoutubePoop YTPs]], he will still use the channel for archival footage of television from the past as well as future original content.

!! Tropes related to ''[=NextG=] Poop''
* AllJustADream: "Something to Do with [=NextG=] Poop" is revealed to be a wet dream of Napoleon from ''Literature/AnimalFarm''. This one's PlayedForLaughs.
** [[spoiler:Played completely straight with "[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies", where at the climax it's seemingly revealed the entire series was a dream from Matt. Then [[OrWasItADream he pops in a tape and it turns out to be the special itself]], and it finishes up regardless.]]
* BottleEpisode: Compared to his other poops, "All Your [=NextG=] Poop Are Belong to Pink Boys" is a relatively straight poop of ''WesternAnimation/ThomasAndFriends'', with only a handful of audio edits and not much for visual edits. Justified as this episode is a tribute to the pooping style of the ''Thomas'' pooper Captainpinkboy.
* ClumsyCopyrightCensorship: Because [=YouTube=] muted any episode that had it, in mid-season 3 the theme song was switched from The Rembrandts' "[[Series/{{Friends}} I'll Be There for You]]" to "Take Me Away" by the Plain White T's. But other than that, there was no other changes to the intro, resulting in issues where the song doesn't sync up with certain parts of the video on-screen. [=YouTube=] has since unmuted the episodes, however.
* ContentWarnings: One appears on "A [=NextG=] Poop...Shaken, Not Stirred." It warns viewers of "overly political content" and tells people to "keep your political opinions where they belong.....[[Film/TheCatInTheHat NOT HERE!]]".
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Some of the earliest episodes in the series contain clips that would later become fixtures of later episodes.
* GrandFinale: "[=NextG=] Poop and the (Supposedly) Last Crusade", ending on [[BookEnds a joke lifted from the end of the pilot episode]].
** "[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies" is the true ending to ''[=NextG=] Poop'' altogether. Both the longest [=NextG=] Poop since ''Everybody Now!'' and having even more call-backs to earlier poops, it ends on the note that [[spoiler:the entire series was a bizarre dream [=NextG=] had.]]
* MundaneMadeAwesome: The Wal.
* OrWasItADream: At the end of "[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies", [[spoiler:a particularly bizarre scene with tons of {{Call Back}}s to the series' RunningGags is (along with possibly the whole series in general) revealed to be a dream by [=NextG=] himself. After he wakes up, he decides to pop in a videotape--which has the special's name on it. After this, it continues on for a few more minutes.]]
* OverlyLongGag: Played straight, lampshaded and then subverted in "What [=NextG=] Poop Says, [=NextG=] Poop Does". Matt ends the episode right when he realizes his ''Bridezillas'' clip is being shown for too long and things are starting to get out of hand.
-->'''Matt''': Okay, okay, that's enough--Mark, take us outta here. ''(cut to website promo)''
-->'''Mark''': Yeah, I think we stayed on that scene a ''little'' bit too long, if you ask me.
-->'''Matt''': Well I didn't know it would break out like that.
-->'''Mark''': That's true.
** Plenty of them in "We'll Return Right After We Take a [=NextG=] Poop".
-->"To the question."
-->"[[FlatWhat What.]]"
-->"The answer."
-->"What."
* ReplacedTheThemeTune: Done three times during the series. First, the show used The Rembrandts' "I'll Be There for You", then used Plain White T's' "Take Me Away", and finally a J-pop theme.
* RelaxOVision: "And so [[Anime/{{Bleach}} Orihime]] attacked in a scene of such spectacular proportions, it could never in your life be seen in a low-budget poop like this."
* RunningGag: Giving a bonus to the usage of the word "Ass".
** A clip of a shocked boy[[note]]taken from ''[=WeeSing=]: Grandpa's Magical Toys''[[/note]] with the text "[=WTF?=]" at the bottom is used particularly often.
** "Meanwhile, not far away..."
* SeriesFauxnale: "[=NextG=] Poop and the (Supposedly) Last Crusade" is intended to be the finale of ''[=NextG=] Poop'', but he continued making poop-related videos after ending the series.
* ShoutOut: [=NextG=] is a big fan of British television and film, and it shows throughout ''[=NextG=] Poop''.
** "These are the Voyages of [=NextG=] Poop" and the first part of "[=NextG=] Poop Remix" both begin with a homage to the start of the special edition DVD of ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail'', in which an incorrect film is played at first and a grumbling, off-screen projectionist takes that film out and puts in the correct film.
** The other [=NextG=] series ''[=KYTV=]'' is based off of the BBC series of the same name.
** Many episode titles are shout outs, such as "[[Film/FightClub The First Rule About]] [=NextG=] Poop [[Film/FightClub Is...]]".
** The ending of the GrandFinale "[=NextG=]'s Ancient Prophecies" is a reference to CBS station WDEF who, before signing off in 2009 due to the DTV switch, inexplicably wound up cutting to a live episode of ''Late Show with David Letterman'' where Lyle the Intern said "I know where you live, [[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch biooooootch!]]" before cutting to static.
* SpiritualSuccessor: ''The Autopilot Series'' can be considered this towards ''[=NextG=] Poop''. As [[https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx2KfiF4brNrPSBCkC92GreWJQtd-Js1C its playlist]] states, "They're not [=NextG=] Poops (or poops of any type, for that matter), but they're not quite like anything else either."
* TheStinger: Used OncePerEpisode.
* TakeThat: "Now Remember Billy, Only Retards Wear Their Collars Up" is a gigantic middle finger to [=YouTube=]'s copyright policy.
