[[WMG: The Phantom Ranger doesn't have a living human form outside of his suit]]
* It's long been theorized that the Phantom Ranger is basically the spirit of past fallen Rangers given life. With the [[Series/PowerRangersDinoFury revelation]] that the Morphin Masters created every single power source in the franchise, it makes sense that they would create a champion that housed the energies of past Rangers. After all, energy cannot be destroyed, only change forms, so the Phantom Ranger (or, more likely, his ruby) basically channels the morphing energy of fallen Rangers so that they don't fall into evil hands.

[[WMG: Ernie and Zordon are the same person, or connected somehow]]

This was posted on the main Power Rangers WMG page, but it bears repeating here: the original plan for Ernie was to have Zordon be closer to his original Sentai counterpart (who, when he wasn't mentoring the Zyurangers, was disguised as a janitor at their school), but the producers eventually changed their minds, telling David Fielding that they thought having a fat guy run a gym/juice bar would be funny.

At the same time, while it's coincidental that both Ernie and Zordon leave Turbo at the same time due to RealLifeWritesThePlot health things for Ernie's actor Richard Genelle (he had health problems start popping up because of his weight, plus he smoked) and some likely issues with the footage for Zordon (all filmed before Fielding left the show) wearing out, the fact that we don't see Ernie since his blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameo at the end of the 1997 ''Film/PowerRangersTurbo'' film and Zordon only once after he leaves the show means that it's entirely plausible that Ernie is some form of avatar for Zordon (if not straight up the same person...somehow) and they both left because Zordon was leaving for Eltar.

Ernie running the Youth Center means that he was in a perfect position to keep an eye on any youth that came through and would know which ones would make perfect Power Rangers should they be needed to fight against Rita, Zedd, or any other evildoers that were Ranger-level threats. [[https://archiveofourown.org/users/Jen425/pseuds/Jen425 Jen425]] plays with this idea in her fic [[https://archiveofourown.org/works/26028562 Mentor]].

[[WMG: Divatox has some sort of mental imbalance that explains her shifting characterization.]]
* Think about it. Being an alien pirate queen (one who was kidnapped from her real family) would obviously make any sort of true diagnosis next-to-impossible. But Divatox's awful upbringing didn't do her any favors, so by the time of the show she vacillates between her hammy, hysterical persona (as seen in the movie and later episodes when Hilary Shepherd Turner played her), or cruel, calculating and prone to using detonators (as played by Carol Hoyt). The way she acts and plans shifts on her mental state. That time when she briefly became an amnesiac pizza waitress could also possibly contribute to her personality shift.
