[[WMG: Lord Commander will eventually be revealed to have a FreudianExcuse.]]
* Chapter 8 reveals that the Lord Commander was once a member of the Infinity Guard who was friends with Gary's father for 29 years. When John was detonating an anti-matter bomb, Jack gets caught in the blast, causing his skin to pale as well as developing psychic powers.
** Not really; he convinced himself that his new powers were a gift from the Titans, and that they had chosen him to free them.
** Seemingly confirmed by Season 2: Jack was corrupted by Invictus, twisting him into the Lord Commander.
*** More or less jossed. While the Lord Commander was corruped by Invictus, it's made clear he ditched all redeeming qualities and doesn't have loyalty towards anyone, even Invictus.

[[WMG: Gary is an alternate universe counterpart of either [[WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty Rick or Morty]].]]
* Heck, he might even be a fusion of the two.
** No. Just no.
** That being said, it would still be possible for both shows to be set in the same universe (well, [[TheMultiverse one of them]], anyway), with ''Rick & Morty'' being set in the nebulous present while ''Final Space'' takes place in the distant future.
*** Sheryl Goodspeed might also be Rick's ex-wife and Beth's biological mother, meaning that Beth and Gary are half-siblings.

[[WMG: The real reason for the Lord Commander trying to open Final Space.]]
* For anyone who had watched Chapter 7, it is revealed that within Final Space lie eldritch abominations known as the Titans. These entities are immensely powerful, being capable of ending all existence without much effort. These Titans were freed in several alternate timelines due to Mooncake rashly destroying several planets because of Lord Commander killing Gary. Regardless of the timeline, the end result is always the same: Gary dies trying to take on the Lord Commander which leads to the Titans being unleashed unto the universe by Mooncake in a spur of rage. The titans are actually briefly referenced in Chapter 3 when Mooncake is made to fight with other alien beasts by the Order of the Twelve, a group of faceless aliens who serve as the "eyes" of the universe. The titans are apparently worshiped by the Order of the Twelve as part of the reason for the gladiatorial battles is to offer sacrifices to the titans. Because of this, one can ask the question on whether or not the Lord Commander himself is aware of this. While the answer as to why TLC wants to open a breach to Final Space is currently unknown, my ultimate theory is that since the Titans are regarded as gods and are worshiped as such, maybe TLC is hoping to acquire immortality from them. Of course, this would end up working against the Lord Commander's favor as these types of entities are not to be played with so I could see the Lord Commander dying the moment the Titans are freed from their prison.
** Actually, The Lord Commander's reasons for capturing Mooncake and opening the breach are revealed in Chapter 10 when he reveals that he is doing this so he could become a titan. He figures that by becoming an immortal god, he would be able to stop his own body from dying as he was dying at the time. However, the it were apparently not interested in him and only took Earth instead, ruining his whole plan. It turns out that all of his efforts were for nothing.

[[WMG: KVN is [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Bill Cipher.]] ]]
* Both are yellow, have one eye, and they both have chaotic personalities. It isn't too hard to suggest that upon being punched out of existence by Grunkle Stan, Bill was condemned to an artificial body that is less powerful.
** Jossed: There are countless KVNs, all the same, so unless you're telling me Bill split himself into countless parts...

[[WMG: Gary will be rescued at the beginning of Season 2]]
The new opening bits for the season will then show a much more [[AmbiguousSituation ambiguous scenario]] where Gary is on an unknown planet, talking semi-dramatically about how he's lucky to have made it as far in life as he has, while also being implied to be mourning the loss of someone who goes unnamed. This will be how the second season ends, by showing how he got there like how the first season led up to his drifting through space while running out of air.
* Confirmed only on the rescued part; Gary wakes up on another ship at the start of the first episode of said season.

[[WMG: KVN is a TakeThat at [[Franchise/DespicableMe the Minions]] of all things.]]
He's a yellow cyclops who serves as a PluckyComicRelief and he gets on everyone's nerves.

[[WMG: There's probably more than one Mooncake.]]
As shown in Episode 8, Mooncake was made from the explosion John and eventually Quinn would die in, since that unfortunate incident happened ''twice'', God only knows how many Final Space-unlocking incidents have happened within this show's canon.
* Seemingly jossed: Invictus and/or the Arachnitects would have said something if there was more than one Mooncake.

[[WMG: Jack/Lord Commander had a personality similar to that of KVN's when he was a crewmate of John Goodspeed's.]]
We don't see too much of Jack interacting with other crewmates of his in Chapter 8 or in the archived video in Chapter 9. Sure, Jack asked John if he wanted to go get some taqitos, but we didn't see John's response of whether he wanted to or not. Perhaps Jack was insufferably annoying and oblivious to how much everyone in his crew detested him like KVN with the current crew. It would explain why John would be OK with beating up Jack while he's frozen in time. This theory at least makes this troper feel better about the heroes continuing to hate Lord Commander the exact same way as before even after they learned of his backstory.
* John did say that he'd been friends with Jack for 20-something years, so it seems unlikely.

[[WMG: Gary made Vlogs for his dad as well, and doing so helped him cope with the loss.]]
Although it seems at first that Gary has a ridiculously overblown crush on Quinn, a woman he met only once, it soon becomes apparent that his vlogs to her were his only way of coping with the isolation. Quinn may have been absent and certainly idealised, but she was at least a human he could talk to, or at least talk at.

After Avocato's death, we see Gary making a vlog for him as well. It's easy to see that vlogs are Gary's way of coping with loss (in Quinn's case, she was his last point of real human contact before his imprisonment.) The very first time he used this coping strategy would probably have been when he lost his father as a child.

Who's to say there aren't hundreds of Vlogs somewhere that all begin with [[TearJerker "Hi Dad."]]

[[WMG: Not all main characters will return after season 1]]
Of all the main characters that bite the dust in season 1 (Avocato, Quinn, Gary, KVN), at least some will not come back to live, despite time-travel being a thing in this shows universe. Just to increase the drama. Most likely candidates: Avocato (Little Cato already pretty much replaced him after his death) and Quinn (her place will be taken up by Nightfall, who continues to exist since she's from an alternate timeline where Gary died and Quinn surived).
** Jossed : Avocato is saved via time travel in the second half of Season 2 and Quinn is rescued when the heroes enter Final Space. Nightfall, however, [[HeroicSacrifice sacrifices her life]] in order to free Bolo. Gary and KVN have been alive since the Season 2 premiere.

[[WMG: The Lord Commander will be [[HeelFaceTurn redeemed]] in the 2nd season.]]
* Jossed, judging from a trailer scene that shows him having died and decomposed a long time ago after season 1.
** And when he ''does'' come back in Season 3, he becomes an even ''bigger'' threat.

[[WMG: Sheryl Goodspeed will learn to love Gary and [[HeelFaceTurn redeem]] herself]]
Because come on, why else would a great man like Gary's father, John, have a kid with someone like her? There has to ''some'' good in her, right? Right!?
* Confirmed as of the season 2 finale!

[[WMG: There exists at least one timeline where Sheryl stayed in the picture]]
We see in Nightfall’s timeline that her Gary became a real Infinity Guard pilot. He must’ve had to be more well adjusted than our Gary, meaning in that timeline, Sheryl could have forfeited her original mission to stay with her family. John’s death still happens, but she and Gary have each other and Gary honors his memory by joining the Infinity Guard himself, and eventually by replicating his father’s HeroicSacrifice to close the gate. Perhaps the characters will see a further glimpse into this timeline at one point which will lead to Sheryl’s aforementioned HeelFaceTurn.

[[WMG: The source of Ash's powers]]
Her powers originally came from a titan, specifically a healer among them that had the power to banish Invictus (explaining how she purged them from Avocado) until they poisoned them to prevent this but before they could finish, the titan was able to send an uncorrupted part of themself into space. Where it drifted for eons until it finally landing on Ash's homeworld and bonded with her.
* Jossed: Ash's powers come from ''[[BigBad Invictus]]'' of all things!

[[WMG: The gay character present in the cast [[WordOfGay to be revealed in season 3]] is...]]
* Ash. Jordan is a unisex name after all and Creator/AshlyBurch is [[VideoGame/LifeIsStrange no stranger]] [[WesternAnimation/OKKOLetsBeHeroes to voicing bisexual women.]]
** Seemingly confirmed as of ''Forgiveness'', where Ash bonds with a mysterious [[EnergyBeings Energy Being]] that sounds female and, when prompted by Ash, adopts the form of a female Human
* Fox is also a popular guess for this one.
** Unfortunately Olan has confirmed that the gay character he plans to reveal is not Fox.
*** Also, Fox is ''dead'' now, so...

[[WMG:The titans are [[{{Sizeshifter}} size shifters]] ]]
That the titans are colossal is a fact, but their exact size is rather inconsistent. The largest Titan so far was seen in Chapter 10, which could hold the entire Earth in one hand. By comparrison; Bolo is about a size that makes the spaceship Crimson Light look like a large insect compared to him. Big yes, but not nearly as big as that purple Titan from Chapter 10. How could Bolo hope to defeat all titans if some are so much bigger than he is, unless he can change his own size at will.
** That’s what I wonder. Olan said that the titans can willingly change their size and that makes me wonder why Bolo did not opt to shrink himself to fit the crimson light and be a roommate to one of the team squad members.
** Maybe there's a limit to a Titan's ability to shrink themselves; they can become smaller, but "Titan small" instead of what we PunyEarthlings would consider small.
** Actually, in ''Until the Sky Falls'', Bolo is shown to be able to shrink himself down to Gary's size, which somewhat weirds the latter out. Why he never considered doing so earlier so he could stay on the crew's ship remains a mystery, though.

[[WMG:The Earth can be restored.]]
We saw Earth get grabbed by a titan and pulled into Final Space in Season 1, so it wasn't destroyed [[EarthShatteringKaboom in the conventional sense]]. Chances are, the titans probably took Earth for a plaything. If that is the case, maybe Bolo can take back the Earth and put it back in its proper place.
** Somewhat confirmed as of season 3 : the Earth ''is'' in Final Space, the heroes ''do'' find it, but it's become a barren wasteland and most of the humans who were on it when it was pulled into Final Space have died.
** The events of ''Until the Sky Falls'' seemingly throw every prospect of Earth being restored down the drain when the Lord Commander, having merged with the Incubating Titan, destroys the Earth from the inside out.

[[WMG:Season 3 will start with...]]
* Avocato being told everything that's happened after "[[Recap/FinalSpaceS2E8TheRemembered The Remembered]]".
** Jossed: the subject isn't even brought up. However, since there was a one month TimeSkip after the Team Squad crash-landed, it can be assumed that either Gary or Little Cato filled him in on the details off-screen.

[[WMG:The KilledOffForReal trope comes for Bolo]]
From a narrative perspective I feel like this character has ''major'' death flags flying over him, unfortunately. He'll probably go out in a HeroicSacrifice.
** Confirmed : the Lord Commander murders him in the opening minutes of "The Dead Speak". However, it's ''not'' a HeroicSacrifice, although Bolo at least managed to draw the Lord Commander's attention to himself, giving the Team Squad a chance to (narrowly) escape.

[[WMG: Invictus is future Mooncake. ]]
They are both [[CephaloThorax cephalothoraxes with two stubby appendages]] with the power to open breaches between normal space and final space.

What's more, from what we know about Invictus, Olan Rogers has confirmed that the method Invictus used to brainwash Avocato is the same one used to corrupt the Titans. Given that Avocato was brainwashed because he [[GreenEyedMonster envied]] Gary's status as a ParentalSubstitute to Little Cato, it's possible that Invictus also corrupted the titans against the Arachnitects by playing on their feelings of envy as not being considered the Arachnitects' best work or creation, with them loving the universe more instead. Perhaps Invictus is able to do this because he has felt envy in the past before and knows how it works.

A potential candidate among the members of the Team Squad to develop feelings of envy would be Mooncake; when Gary met his mother again, he displayed a comparatively neglectful attitude towards Mooncake while focusing his attention on his mother, causing Mooncake to produce semi-destructive behavior (eating numerous pancakes as well as Fox). While this is more reminiscent of sorrow, it can turn into envy with time. And with Gary set to reunite with Quinn and rebuilding his relationship with Sheryl, re-bonding with Avocato, Mooncake may continue to be comparatively neglected. In addition, the fact that alternate versions of himself went ballistic after their versions of Gary died shows that he is not good at dealing with his emotions.
* Jossed: Invictus existed long before Mooncake.

[[WMG: Gary is TheChosenOne destined to (somehow) destroy Invictus.]]

[[WMG:Clarence will return in season 3.]]
He will appear as a cameo in regular space as a homeless person, the universe giving karma for his actions.
** Confirmed. However, his role isn't limited to a mere cameo, and he plays a major role in the episode he reappears in. [[KilledOffForReal And the only one he appears in]].

[[WMG: Ash will resent Quinn after what happened to Nightfall]]
Understandable, Nightfall was the closest Ash had to a mother but now that she is gone, but Quinn is still here, Ash may take her frustration out on Quinn, claiming [[YouShouldHaveDiedInstead it should've been her.]]
** Jossed: while Ash ''does'' negatively compare Quinn to Nightfall on a couple occasions, she doesn't blame her for Nightfall's death.

[[WMG:Gary is RightForTheWrongReasons about his bond with Avocato.]]
In ''...And Into The Fire'', Gary claims to have a special bond with Avocato, born from their friendship. While Quinn doesn't buy it and it all looks like another one of [[CloudCuckooLander Gary]]'s delusions, they ''do'' manage to communicate telepathically through the rocks, so that bond, or whatever it is, ''does'' work... But the reason it does wouldn't be Gary and Avocato's friendship, but rather the fact that Gary time-swapped with Avocato to save his life in Season 2.

[[WMG:The reason why, in the Season 3 trailer, Avocato claims that Gary "never should have brought him back"]]
Teasers for the upcoming third episode hint that Ventrexia was always a thorn in the Lord Commander's side due to the Ventrexians being "the fiercest warriors in the Galaxy", which is why the Lord Commander seemingly plans to force Avocato to betray his people. It could be the reason why Avocato was seen fighting Gary in the Season 3 trailer, claiming that Gary should never have brought him back : because if it wasn't for Gary going back in time to save his life, he wouldn't have found himself in that situation.
** Jossed : Avocato already [[MyGreatestFailure betrayed Ventrexia]] years before the events of the show, which led to him becoming the Lord Commander's second in command in the first place.

[[WMG:SWAT Kats is set in the same universe as Final Space.]]
''WesternAnimation/SwatKats'' takes place on Ventrexia a long time ago, before Ventrexians became a space-faring species.

[[WMG: The Lord Commander will eventually be redeemed later on in the series.]]

[[WMG: Avocato’s biological son will turn out to be alive but become an antagonist]]
he will try to Kill Avocato for “abandoning” him and little Cato for “replacing him”. Avocato will be conflicted about picking between his biological child and adoptive child

[[WMG: Little Cato had lion ancestry on his mother’s side.]]

[[WMG: By the time the Team Squad goes back to save Fox, it's too late.]]
He was either KilledOffForReal, became a vessel for Invictus, or something else entirely.
* Confirmed. He was killed before they even got to rescue him and Invictus was puppeteering his body the whole time in an attempt to manipulate Ash.

[[WMG: Killing Invictus will cause a CosmicRetcon / ResetButtonEnding.]]

[[WMG: Little Cato will end up helping Ash make her decision.]]
In "The Decent Into Darkness" Little Cato made a promise to Fox that they would look after her, making that promise a key factor in the decision Ash has to make.
** Confirmed in "The Leaving", though it was ''not'' voluntary on Little Cato's part : when Ash learns that Avocato killed his parents, she decides that the Team Squad is nothing but "liars and killers" and decides to side with Invictus, taking Little Cato with her in order to "protect him".

[[WMG: Gary really is the Gary.]]
The Lord Commander and Invictus call him the Gary for a reason. Maybe out of all the alternative universes, this Gary is the Gary that will stop Invictus or some other unknown force. Maybe he's the first Gary from the first universe, this he is THE Gary. Maybe there's some other reason.

[[WMG: Invictus is John Goodspeed]]
Final Space is filled with the various corpses of other versions of Gary. Quinn was able to survive there and after the months it took the crew to find her, the only thing she was in danger of dying from was corruption rather than dehydration or starvation. We even see the Earth and all of its now mostly dead population there after the planet was sucked into Final Space. The only person we never see in Final Space is John, who had taken the antimatter bomb to close the rift the first time. It is also not fully explained where Invictus came from. He was trapped in Final Space, but it's implied that he had been there from the beginning when it was first discovered. And since Final Space is apparently where all timelines flow into, and time travel has already been established as a thing, it's fully possible that John could have been sent to Final Space, but through time, to the very beginning where he could have been corrupted and eventually become Invictus. It would also explain why Gary is "The Gary", as he is THE Gary John met who warned him of the future and caused him to end up there in the first place. And why does Gary see John when he's about to die? Because that's Invictus trying to take yet another Gary into his domain.

[[WMG: Evra’s humanoid form is based off Ash’s prom date]]

[[WMG: Evra is connected to/working for Invictus]]
Evra is introduced when Ash is all by herself and actively tries to get her attention, immediately appeals to her destructive side upon doing so and manages to say all of the right things to get on her good side despite seemingly knowing nothing about her. Couple this with the fact that she's oddly cheerful for someone stuck in Final Space, which has consistently been shown to be a DeathWorld, and the fact that we know that Invictus is trying to get Ash to join him and has taken every opportunity to help convince her to do so whenever she's separated from the rest of the group, like she was when she met Evra, and suddenly Evra seems very suspicious.

[[WMG: Evra is related to the “beings of unimaginable light” that created the Arachnitects]]
She’s shown to have similar powers to Ash, but unlike her whose powers share Invictus DarkIsEvil and PurpleIsPowerful color scheme, Evra’s color scheme is much much [[LightIsGood brighter]], and matches the blue highlights of the beings of light. Additionally, the name “Evra” means gift from God.

With this in mind, Evra was likely created by the beings of light and sent into Final as pave to help Ash by guiding her away from Invictus and allowing her to heal from Fox’s death.

[[WMG:The Lord Commander will return.]]
A ''ton'' of charactes has been KilledOffForReal in Season 3. If they were also having no future plans for the Lord Commander, they would've have added him to the body count.
* To add to the theory, he will be forced to [[{{Irony}} reluctantly take on the role Bolo once had]] as the Team Squad's best hope alongside Mooncake to stop Invictus, either doing a HeelFaceTurn along the way or staying as evil as before while working with the team.

[[WMG: Evra will make Ash question her loyalty to Invictus]]
There's no doubt that Evra may just be the only one left that Ash feels she can trust, after all they did help her get over Fox's death. Evra could make Ash see that Invictus is Fox's real killer, making her have a HeelRealization and get her to see all the [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone bad things she did.]]

[[WMG: Ash’s sadistic nature is an act.]]
She’s putting up a sadistic act so she can convince herself that she is loyal to Invictus and is willing to harm anything for him … deep down she might be regretful about what she did to Mooncake and her still having empathy could be a catalyst for a possible HeelFaceTurn.

[[WMG: Invictus is one of the Beings of Unimaginable Light turned evil.]]
Mirroring the typical description of {{Satan}} as a FallenAngel, Invictus was once a TopGod who had a hand in creating the universe. But then it developed a burning hatred for all life and rebelled against its fellow Beings. After a long and brutal conflict, Invictus was cast out to the end of the universe. Where it would eventually be discovered by the Titans and proceed to corrupt them.

[[WMG: Invictus is Creator/WarnerBrosDiscovery CEO David Zaslav.]]
His release into the multiverse does coincide with Zaslav entering office, and they both have similar endgame goals of commiting omnicide for their own personal gain. The cancellation of the show probably means he destroyed the Final Space universe, while the graphic novel could mean [[BigDamnHeroes some WBD employees and/or shareholders forced Zaslav to let his guard down]] and let Olan revive that universe by licensing the show out to him. Perhaps we, the fans, and the shareholders as well, could succeed where Gary and the Crew have failed, assuming they lose in ''The Final Chapter''.

[[WMG: Invictus is a variant, or a reincarnation, of [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2006 Solaris]].]]
