11	The "car dinosaurs" seen in ''WesternAnimation/CarsOnTheRoad'' look pretty similar to the [=DinoTrux=] characters. Presumably over millions of years, these MechanicalLifeForms "evolved" into the vehicles of the ''Cars'' world.
12	* Jossed: ''Dinotrux'' and ''Cars'' are two different universes. Not to mention, Disney and [=DreamWorks=] have never co-produced anything together. Just because the shows both have or had dinosaur cars that look similar, it doesn't mean that they're the same. The ''Cars'' prehistory is not canon to ''Dinotrux'''s and vice versa.

Since that theory was about AU where characters from the show are their real life counterparts, in the show 'verse Ty was raised by Deliveradons from the original Chris Gall books (who in the show are half-''Maiasaura'', half-delivery van type of Trux).

27	* Firesaurus - due to fire truck based Dinotrux role already being held by Hydrodon, Firesaurus in the show is half-''Cryolophosaurus'' and half-flamethrower. They are distant relatives of the Gluphosaurs.

29	* Tankersaurus - half-''Amargasaurus'', half-tanker truck. They are distant relatives of the Septisaurus.

Their main goal in life is to keep order and protect other Trux and Tools.
36	* Sarcocruiser - half-''Sarcosuchus'', half-amphibia. They're semi-aquatic species of Dinotrux. Their heads resemble those of Aquadons, while their treads look similar to Sawmetrodon treads.
37	* Motorlania - half-''Megalania'', half-motor/car engine. They are very dangerous species of Trux, with their venomous bite making other Trux rust to death. They have spines along their backs like an iguana.
