[[folder: Pre-Campaign Predictions]]
[[WMG: The BBEG will be light and/or sun themed]]
The Campaign is taking place in Marquet, a desert-themed continent. It's the perfect place for a LightIsNotGood villain.

[[WMG: Tiamat will be the end boss of Campaign Three or have a large importance.]]
At the end of C1, Arkhan took the Hand of Vecna to go to Avernus and start trying to release Tiamat. Arkhan has recently (as of writing this) become a canonical villain in D&D lore in the Descent to Avernus sourcebook, and Campaign three takes place at *least* 20-25 years after Arkhan descended into Avernus. He's had ample time to make progress in releasing Tiamat. Not to mention, since the campaign takes place in Marquet, I'm sure J'mon Sa Ord would be very interested in keeping Tiamat locked up.

[[folder: Post-Premiere Predictions]]

[[WMG: The merchant trying to sell Laudna and Imogen his wares is Dariax in disguise.]]
Alternatively, Dariax will show up at some point, with a guest DM and Matt taking the player chair.
* There's a higher chance of Matt pulling double duty as Dariax like he played Essek.

[[WMG: Orym will multiclass into either a druid or a monk.]]
Liam mentioned had Vax died for good in Campaign 1, his backup character would have been a halfling from the Air Ashari. Said character would be a Druid/Monk. It's likely that this character evolved into Orym. Despite Orym being a fighter Liam will still probably choose to multiclass into one of the two.

[[WMG: NPC Cameo Guesses]]
A general place to guess which [=NPCs=] from previous campaigns will show up here in Campaign 3.
* Kaylie Shorthalt - still running things as the Meat Man in Marquet, the team will meet her when they eventually have dealings with the criminal element.
* Dariax Zaveon - We already have three other members of the Crown Keepers and it works out with Matt already being DM.
* Algar Dyomin - After being shipped to Marquet by the Mighty Nein for being too possessive of Jester's mother (and framed for releasing the merid Algar tried to use to kill them), the new group will run into him in his new life, likely to once again have it utterly destroyed by the cast.
* Jarett Howarth - it's been 31 years since Campaign 1, which probably puts him at near retiring age, would make sense if he wanted to settle down in his old hometown of Ank'Harel
** indirectly Confirmed in episode 11, as he gets mentioned as the one to tell Orym where to find The Anger.
* Captain Adella and/or Captain Damon- they both do work around Marquet, and for Adella, she's already shown up in multiple campaigns making it more likely for her to be used in another

[[WMG: The Sandkeg's Hide will make another appearance]]
Grog did get the stuff from Marquet, makes sense it would pop up again in a campaign set there.

[[WMG: FCG looked very different before Ashton and Milo found them]]
Whatever happened in that mine was enough to knock them out for who knows how long, and in the first episode, it's stated that Milo had to help fix him up. Considering that FCG's system is self-repairing that must have been some considerable damage for that to require help. FCG could have lost several pieces, such as legs, or weapons systems.\
In a related vein...

[[WMG:The whole reason FCG looks more like a TinCanRobot than an actual Aeormaton is...]]
...he's been rebuilt from one, after Dancer studied his technology as much as she could and ended up building the whole series of robots. That's the reason why FCG is the only multifunctional one, and the reason why the metal-digesting gimmick is the only bit of technology that doesn't quite mesh with all his other gimmicks. Just throw him into a recovery chamber and he'll be turned into something closer to Devexian.

[[WMG: Imogen was the dwarf's original target.]]
She got what seemed to be a prophetic dream caused by her powers, showing that Bertrand would shortly die, but it also showed that ''she'' was originally the one targeted and that Bertrand took her place.

[[WMG: Imogen has daddy issues.]]
She's being played by ''Laura'', whose previous characters were [[AbusiveParents Vex]] and [[DisappearedDad Jester]]. It might just become a theme for her characters.

[[WMG: Guesses for how Dorian is going to be written off]]
Robbie is still being slated as a guest player, so at some point they'll need a reason for Dorian to leave. Possibilities being:
* One or both of the other Crown Keepers comes to find them with a new emergency that they can't handle alone, forcing Dorian to leave to deal with that while Orym and Fearne continue their initial quest.
** Jossed, Dorian makes his way from Marquet to Tal'Dorei with his brother in tow. Once he arrives, he puts out a call (through Shaun Gilmore) that reunites him with Opal, Dariax, and Fy'ra Rai.
* The group encounters Dorian's family in Marquet and Dorian stays behind to deal with family matters
** Partially Confirmed as of episode 14. Dorian leaves to protect his brother, but they both leave Marquet.
* Dorian doesn't leave and Travis takes over the character from Robbie
** Jossed, Travis instead returns as Chetney Pock-o-pea.
* After episode 5, Dorian realizes that VengeanceFeelsEmpty and leaves in the night.
** Jossed
* Dorian ends up leaving in Episode 14, fleeing Jrusar (and the bounty on his brother's head) with his brother Cyrus Wyvernwind aboard Lord Eshteross' skyship -- later reuniting with the rest of the Crown Keepers. They go on to have an adventure chronicled in "Exandria Unlimited: Kymal."

[[WMG: Advik is Ashton's ex]]
Out of all their potential contacts, Advik is the one Ashton is most reluctant to get in touch with. Based on how avoidant they are to go into details why, and how they didn't say no the party's speculations that they and Advik kissed, it seems like a possibility.

[[WMG: Potential future guests]]
* Aabria Iyengar, but instead of appearing as a player she'll be a temporary DM while Matt takes a seat at the table to reprise Dariax.
** Alternately, it's a very uneasy collaboration with Poska.
* Aimee Carrero, reprising Opal.
* Deborah Ann Woll, reprising Twiggy and potentially following up on the theories that she's actually a dragon in disguise.
* Erika Ishii, who's guested on some one-shots and also gotten big in the scene due to repeated appearances on WebVideo/Dimension20.
** Confirmed as of episode 24.
* Anjali Bhimani, rounding out the Exandria Unlimited crew
* Taliesin Jaffe. Now stick with me - Taliesin will say that he has another project conflicting with Critical Role and that he and Ashton will be taking a few sessions off. Matt will confirm and state there will be a special guest that not even the players know about appearing to cover for him. Cue the next episode where Matt asks the guest to join them, Taliesin walks out with a different character sheet, and introduces himself as [[ChekhovsGunman Gentleman Pirate Kingsley Tealeaf]].
* Darren Criss, who in the past few years has done plenty of voice roles and thus crossed paths with the Critical Role cast. Not to mention his origins with Creator/TeamStarKid definitely paint him as a nerd - which is to say, he can now fit the bill as a nerdy-ass voice actor.

[[WMG: The animated furniture, the wall mimic, and the brumestone smuggling are all connected]]
We know that brumestone is used in airships to make them fly -- it's entirely possible it has other arcane applications as well. Such as, say, animating objects. Also, the out-of-place wall mimic (not normally encountered in urban environments, and seemingly placed there by workers for one of the Mahaan House Guilds) seems to share the theme of "stuff coming to life" -- brumestone might be useful in mimic growth or development, or might have been used in the device that Imogen recovered after the wall mimic fight. Dugger's ooze-like transformation could also play into this, as mimics have a lot of ooze-like properties and the overlapping similarities of the major monsters thus far (two with a theme of "animated stuff," and two with "ooze-like properties") seem to suggest a common origin.

[[WMG: Chetney likes Dorian]]
There are a few nuggets of goodwill that he extends here and there. It isn't that he hates Dorian, he's just hazing him.

[[WMG: Pretty is Buddy's son]]
Did you see Liam's face when the character was introduced? He understands exactly what Matt was doing there...

[[WMG: One of the Spires of Jrusar Will Fall]]
There are five spires, and all of the ones explored so far appear to have either mining activity (Smolder Spire), settlements (Core Spire), or secret tunnels (Lantern Spire) crisscrossing the interiors and weakening the overall structure. A villain has already destroyed the Moon Tower (one of the four Mirror Towers) to hide his work, right after bragging to an accomplice about "patterns" laid across the city; destroying one of Jrusar's five spires would just be another step up thematically.

[[WMG: The Corsairs are tied to the mutated Shadecreepers]]
so far the only common thread between the two people we've seen with them is the Corsairs.

[[WMG: The Jelly People were not willing volunteers]]
So far we know nothing about either Dugger or Lady Emoth from before they became Jelly People, only that there was presumably a before for them, and that Lady Emoth was able to pass as normal for some time after she was changed, although we have no idea how long she's been changed.
When Ira was over heard talking to Dali, he specifically asked for "Riffraff from The Steps. People no one would miss. And maybe a Mahaan child just to spice things up"
a request that does not sound like a bid for willing participants, especially going from Dali's reaction to the child comment.
Between that and Lady Emoths almost single minded devotion to the Shade Mother when the group catch her, which has some flavors of MoreThanMindControl, one wonders if she had much of a choice.

[[WMG: Laudna isn’t the only one hung from the Sun Tree Delilah resurrected.]]
It seems rather unlikely Laudna was the only one of the people from the Sun Tree Delilah resurrected. She was an accomplished necromancer and there were around 5 other people killed. Maybe they’ll play a part later in the story.

[[WMG: Henry Crabgrass, the NPC crabgrass from Campaign 2, will turn up in the new campaign for a cameo.]]
Could be one of the original Henry's offspring, but you never know...

[[WMG: The party will get a Spelljammer]]
If there's a situation arising connecting Imogen to Ruidus, what better way to deal with it than find a way to visit it physically?

[[WMG: Fresh Cut Grass will become a real boy]]
FCG always seems to relish in things he can't do, like eating and sleeping. Eventually he will try to seek out a way to become human.
* It may be possible that he was human before, and the automaton body was created to save him from a worse fate.

[[WMG: The Deccure the group experienced in episode 24 is just the first hint to a larger conspiracy]]
During the encounter Captain Xandis is very confused to the creatures behavior and makes a point several times that despite their large size they are more scavengers and herbivores and that its unheard of for anyone to actually seek one out or bother them. Yet someone went out of their way to find it's nest and steal its offspring for some reason yet unknown

[[WMG: The assassins targeting Ruidus-born are well intentioned]]
Related to the above WMG, the assassins believe that Ruidus born have a connection to the Primordials and could cause another Calamity-scale event; however they are trying to ''stop'' such an event from happening by killing them. They believe that the Ruidus-born are {{apocalypse maiden}}s who, intentionally or not, could bring about the end of the world and are trying to avert that.

[[WMG:The final confrontation betweeen Orym and Dusk...]]
...is a CurbStompBattle that's actually due to bad rolls by Erika Ishii but stated in-universe as Orym applying AwesomenessByAnalysis due to having fought them before.

[[WMG:Fearne and Dusk are not so different]]
As in, Dusk went through the same time dilation growth, in order to breed her to hunt the Calloways, meaning she might be younger than Fearne. All to set her up for a [[Film/BladeRunner "tears in the rain"]] ending.

[[WMG:The Moontide Crown's Function]]
As of Episode 30, the only information viewers have about the "Moontide Crown" is as follows:
* It's a powerful artifact and easily recognizable as such. Birdie recounts that "-We're still figuring out the depths of it, but it has strong ties to the Moonweaver and the connection of the perpetual moon glow we have in the Feywild."
* The Unseelie Court were using it in a device that Birdie described as "something arcane that was going to help further their boons from the red moon."
* Birdie and Ollie stole the crown from the Unseelie Court and used it in the construction of an arcane telescope.
* Ollie told the Bells Hells that he'd worn the crown out of curiosity, and it had granted him "impeccable" night vision, access to magics he wouldn't otherwise possess (including illusion magic), a "strong connection to the sky above," and a the ability to draw power from both of the moons.
Given all the features of the Moontide Crown, it seems like a divinely affiliated artifact similar to the Vestiges of Divergence. But what if the Moontide Crown is older than the Vestiges, dating back to the Founding era from before Ruidus appeared? If that is the case, the crown might have been created to establish a connection with the Catha and/ or the Moonweaver (being the only moon in the sky at the time of the artifact's creation), but once Ruidus appeared the crown was able to "connect" with that second celestial body as well?

[[WMG: Morri didn't age up Fearne for selfish reasons]]
But rather Fearne's aging was a side effect of other things, namely the lens she provided Ira. It's a complicated unique magical item that Morri had to make herself. It could be that she sped up time in her glen in order to give herself the time it would take to make the Lens, and Fearne's age is just an unavoidable side-effect of being in the glen with her while she did that

[[WMG: It has been longer than 6 years for Birdie and Ollie]]
They just don't remember from all the times their memories have been altered
* Episode 31 revealed that Fearne's parents had their memory messed with, probably by the Nightmare King. The modifications appear to have been in relation to Birdie and Ollie wanting to cease their work with Ira -- and there seem to have been multiple modifications made over the years. This doesn't confirm that they've been working in Exandria longer than 6 years.
-->SAM: There was patches of erased memories, or at least of--\
LAURA: Painted over. It's like it just disappeared.\
TALIESIN: They could've just discovered anything and then it's just gone over and over again...\
LIAM: Guess we shouldn't be surprised, with who they're dealing with.\
LAURA: They could've realized how awful Ira was over and over again.\
TRAVIS: What the crown was made of, what it does, who it belonged to.\
TALIESIN: What they were really doing, where he stashes all of his human skins...\
MARISHA: Ollie said the crown has the ability to rewrite memories.\
LAURA: Oh, well, there you go.\
LIAM: Maybe because we're here, this is the first time Ira didn't get to paint over what he didn't like.\

[[WMG: Otohan Thull is using distilled dunamis to grant herself enhanced "Echo Knight" Fighter abilities]]
* It has been theorized that the vials Ashton found in Jiana Hexum's mansion (and subsequently had poured directly into their head during Milo's impromptu brain surgery) were vials of distilled dunamis (which resulted in the "Path of Fundamental Chaos" with four rage modes that relate to the fundamental forces).
* Bells Hells discovered similar crystalline vials in the cargo Paragon's Call was preparing to ship out on their mammoth crawler. The crates were marked with the emblem of the Cerberus Assembly (which experimented with Luxon beacons and coerced Yeza Brenatto to produce dunamis extract from a beacon), and Ashton recognized the contents when the crates were smashed open during the attack on the Seat of Disdain in Episode 33.
* In Episode 27, Fearne Wildshaped into a rat while other members of the Bells Hells were visiting the Seat of Disdain. She was able to discretely climb up Thull's cloak, discovering a "metallic backpack" with cavities holding glass or crystal vials. The language used to describe them is similar to the language used to describe the vials found in the crates.
-->ASHLEY: And went up her cloak and she had this backpack underneath. I got in there and it was two cylindrical, nine-inch holders, and there was a crystal in there in each kind of a thing.\
ERIKA: A crystal?\
TALIESIN: What kind of crystal?\
ASHLEY: I couldn't tell. That is not my specialty.\
SAM: That was filling the cavity or waiting at the bottom?...\
MATT: Well, they looked like crystal or glass containers.\
LAURA: Like canisters?\
MATT: Like canisters or vials of some kind.\
SAM: Oh, the cylinder was not made out of--\
MATT: Correct. There were two fittings in there, and then when she glanced up within there, there were two of these about that long crystal containers that were embedded or placed up inside.
* When Otohan Thull confronted Bells Hells outside the Seat of Disdain in Episode 33, she was able to summon three duplicates of herself that were explicitly referred to as "Echoes." According to the Echo Knight class rules in "Explorer's Guide to Wildemount," the total number of echoes this fighter subclass can manifest is 2 (and only when they reach the 18th level!).
* Matt described "something is flaring from underneath the back of [[Otohan's]] cloak" when summoning Echoes (potentially from the metallic backpack or its contents).
* These Echoes were confirmed to be the gray assassins that Orym fought in Zephrah.
If those vials ''are'' full of distilled dunamis, then Thull might be using them to get enhanced Echo Knight powers. Although [=EGtW=] describes the subclass as the "frontline warrior of the Kryn Dynasty" and there have been no non-Drow Echo Knights introduced in the show, it has been shown that interacting with Luxon beacons can grant Dunamancy-adjacent abilities (i.e. the "Fragment of Possibility") to non-Drow. What if Thull's "metallic backpack" is a device that allows her to burn the distilled dunamis like jet fuel? Even if she's not a trained Kryn Echo Knight, the distilled dunamis could be allowing her to access to Echo Knight abilities and augmenting them to the point where she's able to summon additional Echoes.

[[WMG: Fearne lied about the coin flip]]
Fearne flipped a coin in-universe to choose whether or not to revive Laudna or Orym, but Ashley never showed the results to anyone. She ended up reviving Orym, but given all the factors (Laudna having come back from the dead before, Fearne's stronger bond with Orym (and already having lost Dorian), Fearne's habit of lying and known capricious personality), it's entirely possible that the coin actually chose Laudna, but Fearne's mind was already made up on who to bring back.

[[WMG:Otohan Thull is Trying to Release Predathos to Replicate the Raven Queen's Ascension]]
* Predathos was able to resist divine magic and devour two gods (Ethedok and Vordo) before it was sealed away in Ruidus.
* The gods of Exandria were only able to seal Predathos away by working with the Primordial Titans "to carve a prison from Exandria itself." The Primordial Titans themselves were later killed or sealed away.
* The domains of the two devoured gods (winter, darkness, and fate) were "disseminated amongst the existing gods" after their disappearance. The Raven Queen is currently the goddess of fate and winter.
* According to Ebenold Kai, Thull was an outspoken devotee of the Matron of Ravens/ Duskmaven during her time as a soldier in the Apex War.
--> "-they were once an extremely pious entity, when they were at the height of their time as a soldier. They continuously spoke as they walked in the path of the Matron, the Duskmaven. Then when the war finished, from what we've come to try and learn, it seems she may have lost her faith."
* Paragon's Call still uses a "golden buzzard skull" as their emblem/ part of their regalia.
* EXU:Calamity revealed that the Raven Queen's ascension took place during an Apogee Solstice. She challenged the existing god of death and took his place in the pantheon. During the Apogee Solstice that directly followed her Ascension (about 120 years later), Vespin Chloras would attempt to repeat the Ritual of Seeding/ Rite of Ascension and dethrone a Betrayer God. His actions led (indirectly) to the Calamity and the (brief) release of Primordial Titans Rau'shan and Ka'Mort.
* Bells Hells are anticipating and Apogee Solstice inside of a few weeks.
Otohan Thull is trying to release Predathos so that it can devour one or more of the gods, leaving a vacancy in the pantheon that she can ascend to fill. That, or she's found a way to take the place of a Primordial and wants Predathos to devour the gods so that there will be no competition.

[[WMG: Campaign 3 will be a shorter campaign then the other 2]]
The big do or die end of the world event that everything seems to be building to is only 2 weeks away in game as of episode 44

[[WMG: The voice that has told Imogen to run in her dreams before wasn't her mother]]
It was one of the Railora pulling a AFormYouAreComfortableWith. Sumol told her that while most Railora were hostile others were friendly. Imogen's visions until this point could have been one of the friendly Railora trying to be helpful and protect her from whatever evil plan is going on the only way it knew how, by trying to warn her away and giving her visions of people who have died as part of the Ruidus plot

[[WMG: The God killer machine of Aeor was a Maleus Key, and Aeor knew about Predathos]]
Ludinus has heavily implied that he was alive for the Calamity, and is vocally against the gods and has a mysterious amount of knowledge of Predathos. How much of a stretch would it be to say that Aeor was going to use Predathos in the same way as Ludinus is now, and that he got the idea from them?
After all how were the gods sure that Aeor"s God killing machine would work unless it already had a known body count?

[[WMG: After this campaign Critical Role will break away from Dungeons & Dragons, likely introducing their own RPG]]
Unlike other D&D Actual Plays, Critical Role not only doesn't suffer significant loss of viewers whenever they play a different system, but in fact whatever they play expriences rise in sales.

When Wizards of the Coast has been mirred in controversy over planed changes to Open Gaming License, which would give them outragerous amounts of control over d&d-related products done by third party companies, Critical Role released a statement that, while vague, seems to have implied they may consider possibility of leaving D&D.

Gods used in Exandria are directly based on those from other D&D settings and even now are a thing that requires most WritingAroundTrademarks. They are effectively the one thing that holds the Critical Role tied to the D&D brand and Wizards of the Coast. If that link would be severed, the gods would have to go.

Funny how we currently have an arc about releasing a god-eating abomination and have just introduced characters claiming gods aren't necessary in the first place.
* Daggerheart, described specifically as a TTRPG focussed on long-term play, character progression, and narrative, was announced by the publishing arm of the Critical Role brand, Darrington Press on the 20th of April, 2023. How interesting that such a description sounds like it could fit well with the style of play Critical Role generally leans into.
* In Episode 91 [[spoiler:in FCG's death scene]], a mechanic from Daggerheart (which has gone into an open beta test) was strongly evoked. Possibly because the cast are getting used to the idea of using it full time eventually?

[[WMG: Ludinus's real motives boil down to petty spite]]
If he is to be believed, then he was actually alive during the Calamity. It's been established in ''Exandria Unlimited: Calamity'' that mortals by that point, especially in the great floating cities, had started to see themselves as equals to the gods, before the Calamity happened and slapped the arrogance right out of them. Ludinus's real goal isn't to free the world of the tyranny of uncaring gods. He's just trying to prove that he is in fact greater than the divine for the sake of his own wounded pride.

[[WMG: Molaesmyr's nightmarish devastation is the fault of the gods.]]
Because it's boring if everything that went wrong in the Calamity was the fault of those silly wizards who dared to have ideas above their station. The Prime Deities mean well for Exandria and its people, but they're not all Good-aligned, and powerful people frequently do shitty things when their power is threatened.
* Per episode 58, notes recovered from Ludinus' former residence at the Gildhollow Tower hint that the corruption may have been tied to his early research into Ruidus. The notes describe the arcane crystal power well beneath the city, with theories on its origin (a gift from the Arch Heart or an arcane artifact from before the calamity) and ideas for how to surreptitiously harness its power. Ludinus suspected that it might be possible to focus that power output through "his design" (likely a prototype of the Malleus Key) during a solstice to establish a connection with the red moon. In Episode 55 it was confirmed that the Fall of Molaesmyr occurred during an Apogee Solstice. (It's possible that the gods took notice of Ludinus' first attempt at contacting Ruidus and actively moved to damage or corrupt the power source beneath Molaesmyr to put a stop to the ritual. If that's the case then it seems strange that they'd be caught flat-footed in the face of Ludinus' more recent work to unleash Predathos. It seems more likely that Ludinus' first attempt backfired in some way that caused the corruption of the power source and surrounding landscape.)

[[WMG: The characters that were teleported to Illsyra after hearing Ludanius' voice are all Ruidus-born]]
The previous party had days of talking to people actively invested in trying to figure out the fall out of the disturbance to magic and the Apogee Soltice in Uthadurn, yet none of them mention sudden disapearances of people on the day of the event, none of them mention anyone they know of hearing the speach, or the sudden appearance of anyone in this manner other than the party we are following. With the second part of the group we have three people from diffrent places all with the same story. They somehow heard Ludinus and then got bamfed without knowing how. There has to be something tieing these characters together for this kind of coincidence, and the more obvious option is that they are all un-exhalted Ruidus-born like Ferne that got shunted to a point along the laylines when Luidinus tapped into all the Ruidus-born's connection however minor to Ruidus. Ferne and Imogen got shunted the other way because they were already to close to the nexus point.....
or others where bamfed there as well and possible weren't as lucky in where they landed and finding help

[[WMG:The "Elemental Eidolons" Worshipped in the Demithore Valley are Allies of the Primordial Titans]]
In Episode 60, the players meet Elder Abaddina and learn about the "pagan" Loam and the Leaf religious practices of Hearthdell, which stand in direct contrast (and now open conflict) with worshippers of the Prime Deities. Abaddina describes how the ancient elemental spirits, or Eidolons, worshipped by the people of the Demithore Valley "have long hid from the unearned judgment of the gods, since the Founding." It's also implied that the Eidolons are aiding the residents of Hearthdell in their attack on the Dawnfather's Temple.\
The Founding famously ended with Elemental Titans sealed away in corresponding elemental planes; but at some point before they were banished, they worked with the gods to seal away Predathos in Ruidus. If there were elemental spirits that escaped the fate of the Primordial Titans and managed to lay low all this time, they would definitely benefit from the release of Predathos and disappearance of the Prime Deities.

[[WMG: Gargo/Shithead's mistress was the Matron of Ravens.]]
He was her pet or familiar and when she ascended to Godhood he somehow accidentally absorbed a sliver of her divine necromantic power. That's why he can't remember her properly, because of how reality itself tore her name out when she ascended.

[[WMG: Chetney isn't Orym's father...]]
He's Orym's GRANDfather. Given how long he's been alive and that he was settled in Uthodurn for a good 45 years or so, if they do have a familial connection that would be more likely.

[[WMG: The Matron of Ravens [[spoiler:is gone or will be the first god to go]]]]
The vision in ep 76 [[spoiler:seemed to heavily feature imagery of release, with the removal of the mask, the breaking of chains, and The Matron flying away and turning into ravens. Could this be a release from godhood?]]

[[WMG: The Malleus Key WILL [[spoiler:tear The Weave]]]]
Building off the above WMG that Critical Role is heading towards moving Exandria to it’s own system (probably Daggerheart). It’s notable that “[[spoiler:fundamentally altering the rules of magic]]” is brought up as a possibility of what the Malleus Key might do to Exandria. It could partially explain conversion to the new system.

[[WMG: The Meat Man Cometh]]
With FCG dead and the odds of Resurrection looking incredibly slim, Sam is going to need a new character. With the campaign potentially reaching its zenith, rather than bringing in an entirely new character, he'll return with an old favorite. Reintroducing: Scanlan Shorthalt

[[WMG: Ludinus is Collecting Pieces of the Laerryn's Astral Leywright]]
In episode 88, "Seeking Sedition", Bells Hells open a crate that members of the Ruby Vanguard were transporting through Kreviris and find what looks like a refined version of the devices that dispelled magic around the Malleus Key. On a natural 20 investigation check, Marisha/ Launda gets the information that "This is part of something. It is not a whole piece. This is a section of very strong abjuration magic. It looks like it is-- It's not about protective abjuration magic, it's about disrupting abjuration magic." With information from Episode 92 that Ludinus is possibly in Aeor digging up old technology, it's possible that he's also collecting pieces of Laerryn's Astral Leywright: a supremely powerful piece of abjuration(?) magic that was able to disenchant two primordials and blast them out of the prime material plane. If the astral leywright could do that to two primordial titans, a variation on its design might be able to help break Predathos out of the divine cage around Ruidus.

[[WMG: Campaign 3 is somewhat 'unwinnable' by design]]
As in, the party will fail to save the gods, but manage to save Exandria itself, but with the very laws that govern their reality fundamentally changed. It is by design, and has been agreed to by the cast, possibly with a campaign (or mid-campaign) pitch for playing through this world-shattering moment in time. A similar pitch to EXU:Calamity, which many of the cast involved seemed to really enjoy, though admittedy over a much longer span of time. Building off earlier WMGs, this may be to in-universe justify a move from DungeonsAndDragons to Daggerheart.
* Bells Hells did seem to begin running into these endgame threats, that were capable of even neutralysing level 20 characters from previous campaigns, awfully early on. They were only level 8 by episode 51 when the attack on the Malleus Key happened, if memory serves.

[[folder: Confirmed]]
[[WMG: Campaign Three will feature at least one Aeormaton.]]
The Aeormatons are essentially Exandria's warforged, and they've now been unleashed into the world after the Mighty Nein repaired Devexian.
* Confirmed! Imahara Joe looked F.C.G over, and believes them to be a "grade-A scavenged automaton" from Aeor, with their sentience proving that they are not just from Avalir (mere automatons like the hodmedods) but straight-up from Aeor like Devexian.

[[WMG: Bertrand will die]]
He's played up a little as a joke character (not that those haven't lasted the whole campaign before) and his level is set above the others - but significantly lower than his last appearance. While this could be chalked up to his experience and old age cancelling each other out, Travis may have planned with Matt to have Bertrand taken out early on to surprise the others, only for him to roll up with another character already set to go.
* Confirmed. Bertrand is killed by Duggar, the mysterious pale Dwarf in episode 3 that they fought in the same episode. While the episode itself ended somewhat vaguely, [[https://twitter.com/matthewmercer/status/1456510167722332161?s=20 Matt confirms in a series of tweets that this was Betrand's end and it was loosely planned.]] Episode 4 goes a long way to confirming that Bertrand was KilledOffForReal, as the cast finds Bertrand's corpse, they say their goodbyes, and his body is shipped off to Vox Machina.

[[WMG: Bertrand Bell is a temporary character.]]
He is two levels higher than the others, and the one who formally brings the party together, a weird role for a member of the party. He also doesn't seem to have much to do or desire for adventure in general. There have also been mentions of Travis making them unable to do group shots, which implies that Travis' character would be missing. Bertrand is likely just an introduction to this arc, and Travis actual character will be joining the party later.
* Tied to the above, confirmed in the same tweets that explicitly state Bertrand dies that Travis had always meant for Bertrand to be a temp character.

[[WMG: Laudna is connected to the de Rolos, the Briarwoods, or both.]]
Her home of Whitestone definitely stands out, her physical appearance (pale skin and dark hair with a light streak) is very similar to that of both the de Rolos and the Briarwoods, and her Otherworldly Patron is an Undead (as indicated when she used her Form of Dread feature). Her [[VagueAge age is vague]] however (only referring to herself as "young, but not as young as Imogen"), so she may not be Sylas and Delilah's daughter, but possibly someone they experimented on.
* She could be connected to Melanie de Rolo, who was removed from her position after getting caught experimenting with necromancy.
* Alternatively, she's actually connected to Anna Ripley in some way.
* Building off the child experiment theory, and given who the Briarwoods were serving, it could even be possible that Laudna is an unwilling Warlock whose patron is none other than '''Vecna'''.
* Building off of a few of these ideas, she could be a child of Cassandra de Rolo with her affinity for undeath being a result of the time that Cassandra spent as a thrall of the Briarwoods.
** This last one is unlikely, since in Episode 2 she says she left Whitestone after the Briarwoods came but before Percy's triumphant return thirty-two years prior (and indeed, she didn't even know the de Rolos had retaken the city).
* Given how her pet dead rat's name is Pâté ''de Rolo'', the link is even more likely. Since she's a Hollow One - a living corpse - she ''could'' be the living remains of one of Percival's sisters killed in the Briarwood coup.
* Several fans on Twitter suggested Laudna could have been one of the corpses Vox Machina found hanging on the Sun Tree, either the Vex or Keyleth stand-in.
** Confirmed as of Episode 17, while talking about her death with Orym. She was indeed Vex's stand-in -- her ears were mutilated to make them pointy.
* Confirmed. In Episode 6, Laudna confirmed that she lived (and died) in Whitestone during the Briarwoods' rule, and in fact ''hears their voices in her head''. According to Laudna, said voice is a Briarwood.

[[WMG: Pâté de Rolo is a direct reference to Percy.]]
Laudna claims that the name was chosen because the de Rolos have a lot of P names, but the only P. de Rolo that we know of is Percy. Pâté being a dead rat could be out of convenience (Laudna finding him in a cell, for example), or animosity towards Percy. He could have possibly "ratted" her out, perhaps while he was being tortured for information or otherwise. Additionally, pâté is ground meat (dead meat)/chopped liver - neither are very friendly expressions towards someone.
* Alternately, Laudna was originally raised as a TykeBomb and part of the Briarwoods' army from the beginning, fed on anti-Whitestone propaganda, until they had a change of policy and started turning them into Hollow Ones.
* Confirmed, in a way. Laudna's reasoning has not been revealed, but Marisha confirmed on Episode 4 of ''Four-Sided Dive'' ("Independent Witches") that she (the player) A) wanted to name the rat after Percy to "fuck with Taliesin" and B) chose Pâté because it's "dead and liver".

[[WMG: Dusk is a Changeling ]]
Given the reveal of episode 26 it seems likely, especially considering Erika specifically mentioning a "momentary flicker. A riot of color passes over my (Dusk) face and is gone"
* Confirmed in episode 28.

[[WMG: The Nightmare King and Fearne's parents are working together]]
Two reasons for this theory"
* 1) They are both collecting arcane batteries for reasons yet unknown
* 2) in the fight with the Nightmare King he seemed to back off and even spare the Hells when he recognized Fearne as a Calloway, despite having them well over powered and at his mercy. Now at first this could have been written off as respect amongst the courts, but now that we know that the Unseelie court is actively trying to end the Calloway line and is useing multiple agents to do so, if the Nightmare King was working with them in any capacity then we know he would have had full permision to kill Fearne and the Hells at the Tower, where he had the perfect oportunity and didnt.
* Confirmed in episode 29

[[WMG: Orym's father-in-law is Derrig.]]
Derrig, Liam's character from the ''Dalen's Closet'' one-shot, is a half-elf member of the Air Ashari, a bodyguard for Keyleth, a battlemaster fighter, and is mentioned to have three daughters and a son named Will. Orym's late husband Will was also a half-elf member of the Air Ashari and a bodyguard for Keyleth. Assuming that Derrig's wife Nel is also a half-elf and Will followed his father's footsteps in his profession, it's entirely possible for both Wills to be the same character.
* In addition, Derrig could also have mentored Orym during his training and passed on his class (unless all Air Ashari bodyguards are battlemaster fighters as a result of the standard training).
* There is more evidence to support this in Episodes 23 and 24. When Orym is doing some katas, he greets the sun with a "Morning, Dad"; Derrig has an arm tattoo of a sun, similar to Orym's. Also, Orym mentions learning druidcraft from Nel and Maeve; the former is the name of Will's mother and Derrig's wife, and the latter is the name of one of Will's triplet sisters.
* Confirmed in Episode 34; while Orym is being resurrected, he sees Will in the afterlife and tells him to say hi to Derrig/Dad for him.

[[WMG: Fresh Cut Grass Will Pilot a Giant Robot]]
If the Bell's Hells ever explore ruins from Aeor, they may stumble across either giant Aeormatons or machinery that only Fresh Cut Grass will be able to interact with due to his robotic nature.
* Confirmed in Episode 51. FCG is able to hook themselves up to the "Warder" aeormaton defeated by Imogen, Laudna, Chetney, Ashton, and Orym defeated in Episode 50. With the Warder's arcane power source fried, [=FCG=] was able to plug themselves in as a replacement battery/ pilot to maneuver the robot body and move about the Tishtan Excavation site in disguise.

[[WMG: The Party Will Find a Way to Visit Each Other's Dreams]]
A party with Imogen (a telepath and sufferer of narratively significant storm-related nightmares), Fresh Cut Grass (who can and has cast ''Detect Thoughts'' on multiple teammates to try and unlock things their mind may have buried), Ashton (who has dream-flashbacks to the night they nearly died in Hexum's manor, and has asked [=FCG=] and Imogen to help recover their memories of that night), Laudna (who says her nightmares are a source of inspiration, and who pays such close attention to Imogen's dreams), Fearne (who was tempted by Lolth in her dreams during the events of ''Exandria Unlimited''), and Orym (who watched nearly all the members of the Crown Keepers be targeted in their sleep by Lolth during ''Exandria Unlimited'') is primed and ready to start exploring each others' subconscious. D&D 5E offers the 5th level spell ''Dream'', which would allow them to visit and (and manipulate) each other's dreams directly. Given their interest in the subject, they might seek out someone who can cast the spell or an item that can replicate the spell's effect.
* Sam stated in Episode 35 that he homebrewed a spell for [=FCG=] called "Shared Dream," but hasn't yet had a chance to cast it. As [=FCG=] is a Level 7 Cleric the spell would have to be 3rd Level or lower in order for them to cast it. The spell likely wouldn't have some of the more powerful features that the Level 5 "Dream" spell does (like the plane-wide range of the spell, the ability to modify the dream environment, or to prevent the target from taking a long rest), but nonetheless it will be interesting to see the effects of the spell if/ when it is cast.
** Confirmed -- [=FCG=] was able to cast the spell successfully in Episode 38 and joined Imogen in her dream of the red storm. They were able to see and feel what Imogen could see and feel of the storm, but [=FCG=] could not cast spells or alter the dream environment the way Imogen was able to do (i.e. by willing the storm to part momentarily). [[note]]"As you attempt to draw the energy of the spell forward and reach out to impart her with this capability, no effect takes hold. No spell here follows through, as you are a visitor in somebody else's vision."[[/note]] With later castings in Episodes 46, 48, and 49, [=FCG=] was able to bring other sleeping party members into Imogen's dreams.

[[WMG: The Nightmare King knows Fearne's grandmother personally]]
Ira knew that Fearne was a Calloway. It's probably incorrect, but perhaps he dated Fearne's grandma once upon a time?
* Confirmed by both Ira and Nana Morri, they know each other mostly professionally, but also had a brief fling in the past that didn't work out

[[WMG: Fresh Cut Grass is responsible for the death of their last party, and is either unaware or hiding it.]]
While we don't know exactly what race they are, playable constructs in D&D are usually conscious and aware of their surroundings when they "sleep," so the idea that F.C.G. missed whatever killed Dancer and the other automatons due to being in stasis is dubious.
* Confirmed! F.C.G. acquires stress points that, once enough are accumulated, cause him to go haywire and attack people.

[[WMG: Possibilities for Travis's new character.]]
Given that the party, minus Dorian, consists of two frontline fighters (Orym and Ashton), two sorcerers (Imogen and Laudna) and two healing casters (FCG and Fearne), there are a few options he might take to fill in his own niche.
* Gunslinger: To represent the continuing spread of firearms in Exandria, he might play a grizzled western-style bounty hunter, a former soldier from a rifleman brigade, or maybe an inventor developing the technology further.
* Artificer: Either an Armorer so he can continue to get into the thick of it in battle, or an Artillerist.
* Bard: Since Dorian is a guest character, he may choose to play a bard so the party has that extra boost of support.
* Rogue: The group is lacking a rogue, which would also be an apt choice for a Corsair, the likely source for Travis' new character given the group's current situation (surrounded by hostile Corsairs, looking for a former member of theirs).
** Confirmed, then Jossed, then re-Confirmed. Chetney was introduced to the party as a Rogue, but later revealed to be an Order of the Lycan Bloodhunter (essentially a werewolf). After Episode 21 he multi-classed and took a level in Rogue.

[[WMG: Laudna is a SoulJar for Delilah Briarwood.]]
Since we know that Delilah was teaching the young Laudna magic, she may have been experimenting on the girl as well, trying to turn her into a [[BodySurf back-up body]] a la the ''Clone'' spell. But Laudna died before her and caused the spell to go wrong, pulling her soul back in & becoming a Hollow One. Now Delilah's dead, but her new body still has an occupant, leaving her soul as a disembodied voice in Laudna's head.
* Possibly Jossed. Delilah never tutored Laudna, and there's no indication that Laudna met either of the Briarwoods prior to the night when she and her family were invited to the palace. Laudna was beaten and her body was mutilated before she was put on display -- not exactly something a body surfing necromancer would be keen to do to a future host. Notes on the first character playlist that was released for Laudna read "The necromantic blast unleashed by Delilah Briarwood would latch onto the magic spark that was lingering in Laudna's still veins. Confused, terrified, and alone, Laudna would wriggle her way free from the noose around her neck and run as fast and as far away as she could from the only place she's ever known. Little did she know, her fate was still intertwined with the woman who broke the world." And in episode 12, Laudna tells Imogen she started hearing Delilah's voice in her head "a year after she [Delilah] dies." With all those facets taken together, it doesn't seem like Delilah ever intended to bring Laudna back or use her body as anything but set dressing.
** Or at the least, decide to use her for a message instead. It is possible Laudna was intended to be a replacement body at first but then Vox Machina made themselves an issue. So when the Briarwoods decided to send a message, Delilah decided to use Laudna for Vex, reasoning she could always pick out a new victim to be her next body. But even if Laudna was picked to be her new body, she didn't have the position at the time of death.
* Confirmed!

[[WMG:Fresh Cut Grass' name is not just a joke for its sheer absurdity/being [[InherentlyFunnyWord an inherently funny string of words]], it's a literal (if mildly convoluted) translation of an out-of-universe name.]]
English-language names often have meanings that people would have to look up to understand: just citing FCG's party members, "Imogen" means "maiden" or "innocent", and "Ashton" is derived from a place meaning "ash tree town". Characters named "Maiden", "Innocent", or "Ash Tree Town" would certainly raise eyebrows, but "Imogen" and "Ashton" doesn't (or at least less so). Sam Riegel's wife Quyen Tran is Vietnamese-American, with a Vietnamese name (albeit written in Western convention). In Vietnam, "Hương Thảo" or "Phương Thảo" are ''terribly'' common as names. "Thảo" means "grass", and "Hương/Phương" means "fragrant". What is fresh-cut grass if not fragrant?
* Partly confirmed. It's not a convoluted translation in universe, but Sam named him that because the smell of fresh cut grass is actually a chemical reaction produced when the grass is in distress (or as Sam put it, fresh cut grass screams).

[[WMG: Ashton wasn't born as a Earth Genasi]]
two things point to this theory
* 1) Ashton has outright said that he was "soft" when he was younger until his body suddenly started hardening.
* 2) Going through the Museum it's specifically noted that the mask and armor from the Hishari tribe are familiar to Ashton, and of those we get this little bit of lore
--> "It is a village in Issylra to the north of Marquet. It was born as a commune around a charismatic leader that delved into esoteric elemental worship, was eventually found decimated a couple decades ago" Only a couple of decades ago since this village was wiped out under mysterious circumstances, and while we don't know Ashton's exact age, we do know they're at least old enough to be 20 or older maybe, and we also know they were raised in an orphanage from a young age.
What if Ashton was from the village of Hishari, and the "Esoteric Elemental Worship" they were involved in caused him to change into a genasi?
* Ashton's contemplation of the "strangely familiar" Hishari helmet (stolen from the Twilight Mirror Museum back in episode 21) while camping out at the Calloway hideout in Episode 31 lends credence to the theory that they're connected to the Hishari.
** Confirmed! Ashton is a survivor of the Hishari and was originally another race (likely elven or half elven, as it's been said his father was an elf.)

[[WMG: Fearne (and maybe some other Fey creatures like the Nightmare King) came from the Feywild through Artagan’s doorway.]]
It doesn’t seem like you can just casually walk from one realm to another, unless you inadvertently stepped through a door that was left open.
* Subsidiary material released alongside ''Exandria Unlimited'' already confirmed that Fearne entered Exandria through the gate built by Vox Machina for Artagan.

[[WMG: "D" is a Lich]]
Laudna's patron "D" has become a Lich and Laudna is the unwilling vessel of her soul. "If you go," D says. "I Go."
* It's never outright stated that Delilah's a lich now, but more or less confirmed.

[[WMG: Liliana Temult Knows (and is Potentially Working With) Otohan Thull]]
As of Episode 37, Liliana Temult has only ever appeared as a figure in Imogen's dreams (and one repressed memory) imploring her to run from the specter of Otohan Thull. Imogen has refrained from contacting her mother and has no clues as to her current location or status. Bells Hells learned that Liliana participated in a study of Ruidusborn individuals run by Professor Kadjia Sumal (and by extension the Grim Verity) out of the Aydinlan Seminary in Yios around 831 PD, twelve years before the start of Campaign Three. Hondir (a researcher likewise associated with the Grim Verity) recalled that "she was gifted with incredible capabilities" and compared Liliana's powers to Imogen's.\
When Imogen encountered Thull in Basuras, Thull repeatedly provoked Imogen to "give in" (presumably referring to Ruidus' influence) and made references to "others" (presumably other Ruidusborn or members of Thull's conspiracy). Based on Thull's interest in Imogen's powers, she would certainly have a similar interest in Liliana if she knew of the woman's existence. Based on dream-Liliana's reaction to Thull's presence in Imogen's dreams, Liliana is aware of the threat that Thull poses to Imogen.\
What if Liliana's antipathy towards Thull comes from personal experience? It could be that they've crossed paths before, with Thull attempting to recruit Liliana to her cause to exploit the other woman's powers and Liliana managing to escape. It could also be that Liliana is working with Thull, willingly or not; she may have been brainwashed (this would echo how Fearne's parents were lured into a partnership with Ira Wendigoth and had their memories tampered with when they tried to break away from his influence), blackmailed, or otherwise coerced (perhaps with the threat that Thull would turn her attentions on Imogen should Liliana not play her part) into cooperating. Maybe Liliana is working with Thull in an attempt to undermine Thull's operation from the inside... or maybe she's working with Thull because she earnestly believes in Thull's cause, and her warnings to Imogen are a desperate plea to keep her daughter from getting involved in the danger and violence that comes with Thull's work.
* Imogen has messaged her mother in Episodes 39, 40, and 42 to ask for information. On all occasions she's been rebuffed, with her mother telling her to "run." In Episode 43, Professor Ebenold Kai tells Imogen he believes Liliana turned her back on the Omen Archive and the Grim Verity to work with Thull's army, as "She grew frustrated with her inability to give the answers she sought and Otohan found her as did the Assembly. And I think her... her personal need for answers overrode her judgment."
** Confirmed. Liliana is working with Thull at the Tishtan excavation site to assemble the prime Malleus Key. When Imogen contacted Lilliana in Episode 49, Liliana expressed implicit support for Thull and Da'leth's goals (releasing Predathos and destroying the gods).

[[WMG: In a reprise of the Trial of the Take arc, the two parties will be joined by guest stars]]
Laudna, Ashton, and Orym could be joined by the Crown Keepers, and FCG, Fearne, Chetney, and Imogen meet up with another group in Uthodurn.
* Confirmed. In Episode 52 the party of Chetney, [=FCG=], Fearne, and Imogen were joined by the Cleric Deanna Leimert (played by Aabria Iyengar) and Fighter/Rogue/Cleric F.R.I.D.A. (played by Christian Navarro). In Episode 59 the party of Ashton, Laudna, and Orym were joined by Barbarian/Rogue Deni$e Bembachula (played by Aimee Carrero), Sorcerer Bor'Dor Dog'Son (played by Utkarsh Ambudkar), and Wizard Prism Grimpoppy (played by Emily Axford).

[[folder: Jossed]]
[[WMG: In C3, Sam will play a Fairy or a Kobold]]
So far Sam has played most of the Small races - gnome (Scanlan), goblin (Nott), and halfling (Veth). That just leaves him with Fairy (unlikely as they've only just officially released it and it's likely Sam and the others have already worked on their characters) and Kobold if he keeps up the pattern.
** Jossed. Sam ''is'' playing a small character, but Fresh Cut Grass is an automaton.

[[WMG: Campaign Three will feature more than one Artificer]]
For no other reason than they're new and shiny.
* Liam and Taliesin will be particularly intrigued at playing the mad tinkerer.
* Liam will troll us all by building an Artificer with a dark past, making us all think immediately of Percy, and then play him as cheerful as Jester.
* Travis will troll Sam by playing Luc Brenatto.
** Or at least a Rogue or Paladin of the Traveler named Luc... last name depending on how funny it would be to fake out Sam.
* Jossed. None of the Player Characters are Artificers.

[[WMG: Taliesin will play a homebrew race in Campaign Three]]
Campaign One, he had a homebrewed subclass. Campaign Two he started as a fully homebrewed class. The next step if he follows this pattern would be either a subrace or race of his and Matt's own creation.
* Jossed. His character Ashton is an Earth Genasi but he ''is'' playing a homebrewed subclass of Barbarian.

[[WMG: Laudna is a dhampir and feeds on Imogen]]
Her appearance and powers definitely have an undead nature. If she actually requires the blood of a magic user, she might even borrow some Imogen's abilities through it, which is why she has a level in Sorcerer.
* Jossed. While the source of her Sorcerer's powers are still unknown, she is a human who has been turned into a Hollow One, a type of undead that retained a portion of their soul.
** She's a Hollow One, yes, but Hollow Ones aren't ''exclusively'' human, and Laudna hasn't been outright confirmed to have been one. It may be a stretch for her to be a dhampir ''and'' a Hollow One ''and'' an Undead Warlock, but it's still possible by the 5e rules.
*** As of Episode 6, it's been confirmed that Laudna was in fact a human.

[[WMG: Bertrand is actually a Changeling]]
If he doesn't die, this could also be the reveal.
* Jossed. Bertrand did die, although it's possible the Dwarf could flip this around and replace Bertrand later, but the original prediction is false.

[[WMG:Bertrand is somehow responsible for the incident with the animated objects.]]
It is awfully convenient that Bertrand just so happened to be in the area when the cart full of objects suddenly sprang to life, especially when the first thing he did after said objects had been dealt with was to offer the other characters work and present them to a wealthy patron who then attacked the group within minutes of meeting them. Was he simply at the wrong place at the wrong time, or did he somehow orchestrate the incident in hopes of finding a couple of poor schmucks who looked like they could handle themselves for as of yet unknown reasons?
* Jossed, as Bertrand is killed in Episode Three.

[[WMG: Laudna's patron is the Raven Queen.]]
Laudna is a warlock / sorcerer, so she has a warlock patron. As the Raven Queen is a death goddess, and Laudna's backstory seems to involve a lot of Campaign One references, it would make sense that Laudna's not-quite-dead state was the Raven Queen's gift. Laudna says she has "a voice in her head," but maybe the Raven Queen can also speak though the dead raven's skull of Pâté de Rolo.
** Unlikely. The Raven Queen has a fierce hatred of undeath and would view Laudna as a perversion of life that needs to be destroyed rather than as someone she could be a benefactor to.
** Episode 6 seems to imply that one or both of ''the Briarwoods'' are her patron!

[[WMG: Travis' new character will be the child of a Vox Machina member]]
Matt's expressed interest in doing "Vox Machina next generations", so there is precedent. Furthermore, his character could tie in to Laudna's backstory if he's a child of Vex and Percy who's concerned Laudna is a remnant of the Briarwoods' actions and feels the need to hunt her down after word of her actions reaches them.
* Jossed, Chetney Pock'o'Pea is way, ''way'' too old to be a child of any of the Vox Machina members.

[[WMG:Laudna's black veil thing is a major clue to her origin]]
She was turned into a Hollow One ''on her wedding day,'' likely involving TheBluebeard.
* Jossed. She was killed and resurrected by Delilah Briarwood, who was her ''teacher''.
In a related vein...

[[WMG:Laudna missing out on a whole chunk of history is because...]]
...that was the time she spent ''actually'' [[FishOutOfTemporalWater dead, possibly in a coffin.]]
* Jossed. According to her story, she was revived quickly after her death, seemingly right after the Briarwood's coup.

[[WMG: Travis will be playing Oshad Breshio]]
The character will be encountered by the party at some point, so there's no way Travis' plans for him to appear later could be derailed by the plot thread not being followed up on. No details on the character's race or abilities are mentioned, giving him a lot of wiggle room. Finally, the character is mentioned as recovering from his wounds, which gives a good reason for him to be laying low until Travis is ready for him to join the party.
* Seemingly Jossed, Travis' new character is a gnome by the name of Chetney Pock o'Pea and Oshad is a Matt NPC debuting in episode 11.

[[WMG: The Gold Guild of Jrusar is Experimenting with Golems and Genasi]]
Ashton is an Earth Genasi who suffered a grievous injury at one point, and is now held together by seams of "slag gold" running across their head, neck, and arms. In Episode 6, Ashton received a mysterious letter (that they redacted most of before sharing), and Imogen confirmed that the initials J.H. appeared on the letter. In Episode 8, when Cyrus recounted the job he took that led to the bounty on his head, he described a caravan belonging to the Gold Guild of Treshi containing a cart with the initials J.H. stamped on the side. That cart had a stone golem in it. The golem was stolen by the bandit Nova and the other guards, possibly being the target of the raid in the first place. When Imogen points out that the initials on the cart Cyrus described match those on the letter Ashton received, they acknowledge there may be a connection. Maybe the Gold Guild has been experimenting on wounded Earth Genasi like Ashton, offering life-saving reconstructive surgery to the poor and desperately injured who wouldn't have other healing options. The surgery could be an opportunity to perform covert research to improve their golems.
* Jossed. The J.H. on the crate and the letter stands for Jiana Hexum, a wealthy citizen of Jrusar that Ashton and their former crew "the Nobodies" attempted to steal from several years prior. Ashton gained their head injury falling from the top floor of Jiana's home. The "slag gold" that was used to patch Ashton's injuries came from the failed burglary. The golem stolen from the Gold Guild's caravan belonged to Jiana as well -- she has several that guard her estate, and no interest in medicine or Earth Genasi biology.

[[WMG: Ashton's head injury is from a parent]]
Their ComingOutStory went very poorly, and resulted in not only their injury but also them relocating to Fownsee Hollow.
* Jossed. Episode 10 confirms that Ashton received the injury from a break-in job gone wrong. His current appearance is a result of Milo's attempts at healing him.

[[WMG: Marwa's sitting on a Lich's phylactery and it's going to be relevant.]]
She has a weird sphere full of blood that's never thickened, from a jungle witch who said it's used for 'spooky magic shit', but she's lost it and doesn't remember where she put it. That sounds like foreshadowing if there ever was any.
* Jossed. Laudna later went back to buy that item, and Matt told Marisha to mark it down as a ''+1 Bloodwell Vial'', which is an arcane focus for sorcerers that can restore Sorcery Points on a short rest. While it's still a macabre item, and the "jungle witch" may very well come back into play later, there's no indication that it's a phylactery or anything other than what it appears to be.

[[WMG: Chetney's RTA tattoo stands for...]]
Royal Toymaker's Association.
* Jossed. In Episode 17, Chetney tells Imogen it stands for "Recognize The Alpha." (Whether or not he's being truthful is another matter...) In Episode 58 it's implied that [=RTA=] originally stood for "Rexxentrum Toy Authority," a former employer of his.

[[WMG: Dusk is Connected to the Calloways]]
Dusk is introduced as an amnesiac who remembers very little about their life aside from having once visited the Feywild. ''Exandria Unlimited: Kymal'' introduced the character of Morrighan Ferus, an amnesiac from the Feywild who only remembers the name of the woman who sent her to the material plane -- Morrigan Calloway, aka Fearne's grandmother Morri. Dusk could be in a similar situation, having been sent to the material plane by Morri Calloway after having had their memories modified. And if Dusk is indeed a Warlock like it says on their character portrait (rather than that being a fake-out, like when Chetney was introduced as a Rogue later revealed to be a Bloodhunter), Morri Calloway could potentially be Dusk's patron.
* The title is confirmed but the content of the WMG is jossed. Dusk is connected to the Calloways in that she aims to ''kill them'' and "end the Calloway line".

[[WMG: Fearne is a changeling]]
Not the actual Changeling race, but in the sense that she wasn't always fey but was swapped out. Fearne recalls her parents were on Aeor last she heard, which means they were likely last in Exandria pre-Calamity - perhaps on the eve of it even. We also know that every Fey on Exandria was given an escape route from Lady Elmenore, but could choose not to accept. If the Calloway parents didn't accept, they either had a reason or they made a bargain - instead of returning home, they send a human child they have been caring for to save her instead. And over a thousand years, this child becomes a faun named Fearne thanks to her time in the feywild. It could also explain why Elmenore in present day lays claim to Fearne - the terms of the contract struck by her parents could mean she "belongs" to Elmenore in the literal sense of the word.
* Jossed -- Fearne only believed her parents were in Aeor because of the postcards "from Birdie and Ollie" that Morrigan Calloway forged and gifted to Fearne. As of Episode 30, there's no indication that her parents were alive during pre-Calamity times (even with time being a "weird soup"). When Fearne reunites with her mother in Basuras, Birdie (also a Faun) confirms that Fearne is their biological child and confesses that Fearne was born on Exandria under a flare of Ruidus.

[[WMG: Orym will be resurrected by the Voice of the Tempest should Revivify not be successful/possible.]]
* Should the party not be able to revivify Orym due to time or an unsuccessful roll, they will most likely send his body back to the Air Ashari. Once there, Keyleth will resurrect him to fulfill his oath to protect her. At that point, its up to Liam on whether he wants to return, given his character may be happy in the afterlife with his loved ones, or whether he will return to his duty.
* Jossed -- Post-battle, Orym is successfully resurrected by Fearne, who was successfully resurrected earlier by F.C.G.

[[WMG:The battle with Otohan Thull was AllJustADream, or will be undone in some way.]]
Matt's mannerisms throughout and after the fight do not match up with his usual somberness upon a PC death, let alone a near-TPK. Possible solutions to this cliffhanger:
* This was one of Imogen's Ruidus-induced dreams. She could have had it when she was asleep, or knocked unconscious - or she's wide awake and in a catatonic state.
* Thull, a fellow psychic, has gotten into her mind and created the vision to get her to break and embrace her powers. This is why Thull seems nigh-invincible in the fight.
* Even if the battle was real, as Imogen snaps, time stops. Her powers perhaps can stop time, reverse it, bring the party to Ruidus...
* Jossed -- Episode 34 starts with the tail-end of the battle, with Otohan vanished, the street completely decimated, and the dead and/or dying [=PCs=] still dead and/or dying.

[[WMG:Sam's Ad Read for episode 34 will be about Character Creation]]
He'll be helping Liam, Ashley, and possibly Marisha make their new characters after the events of the previous episode. Tying into the jokes from early campaign about Travis dying and returning as progressively older men, they will all make their own extremely old men.
* Jossed. The ad reads for Episode 34 were for sponsors Nordverse and Cash App.

[[WMG:Laudna will not come back as a Hollow One, but a fully living human.]]
Using Resurrection or True Resurrection on the remains of an undead creature will restore the creature to the life it had before becoming undead. Laudna being restored to living humanity may give her some interesting arcs about her identity, given that she's kind of embraced the whole "freak" thing. (She will still have her whole "what if the Addams Family had a theatre kid" vibe, though.)
* Jossed, Laudna was brought back with a ''Raise Dead'' spell and still seems to be a Hollow One. It might just be flavor, but there was even doubt about whether Pike's spell had worked when the ritual finished because Laudna wasn't breathing.

[[WMG: One of the two missing gods is Sardior, god of Gem Dragons]]
Sardior is a plausible candidate for one of the two missing gods connected to Ruidus due to the fact that he's a god of psionics. His absence from the Exandria pantheon is also notable considering that the other major dragon gods, Bahamut and Tiamat, are both present. It's possible that he is imprisoned or at least present on Ruidus and is responsible for the increase in individuals with psychic powers such as Imogen.
* Jossed. In Episode 43, Bells Hells learn from Planerider Ryn and other members of the Grim Verity that the two "forgotten" gods are Ethedok "the Endless Shadow" and Vordo "the Fateshaper."

[[WMG: The two missing gods banished themselves to Ruidus]]
Everyone assumes that the rest of the pantheon must have banished them, but with how little we actually know about them there is no indication either way, especially when it is considered that they were likely separated from the rest pre-split between the Primes and the Betrayers.
* Jossed. In Episode 43, Bells Hells discover that the two missing gods were devoured by an entity from beyond the world of Exandria called "Predathos." The remaining gods collaborated with "elemental forces" to seal Predathos away in a chunk of Exandria they carved out and tried to banish, only for the prison to remain in Exandria's orbit as the moon Ruidus.

[[WMG: Ruidus was formed by the gods in their taming of the primordials, and it's influence in this campaign is an attempt by at least one primordial at an "Age Of Calamity" style event that releases the other primordials.]]
The moon may be extant as a seal that isolates and separates a particular primordial ("Chaos"? "Storm"?), or may simply be an isolated reservoir of primordial energy, but the Ruidus dreams that Imogen has is an attempt by a primordial to influence events the same way the Betrayer Gods used prophetic dreams in the build-up to the Age Of Calamity. Keyleth's assassins have already been linked to killings involving the study of Ruidus-born, and this is an active (and ongoing) attempt at preventing mortals from understanding what is happening until it's too late. There are at least two primordials that as of current writing(Exandria:Calamity Ep.3) remain alive and sealed somewhere in Exandria, and other primordial beings have previously shown to still reside in planes adjacent to Exandria, although their status and agency regarding Exandria are still in doubt.
* As of [=EXU=]: Calamity Episode 4, the primordials Rau'shan and Ka'Mort have been terminated, with their essence scattered across several realms: "-Rau'shan and Ka'Mort, believing that they will rejoin the Betrayer Gods, are instead unmade, disenchanted, bound to a surging leyline and fired, diffused through as many realms as the Leywright could send them through. Two great Titans are destroyed... Gone from Exandria, those Primordials do not join the Betrayers." So while it would seem there are no living Primordials left on Exandria, the machinations of those sealed in other planes are not accounted for.
* Jossed. Ruidus was formed by the gods ''with the aid'' of Primordials to seal away Predathos.

[[WMG: Fresh Cut Grass is not a cleric.]]
At least not in a roleplaying sense. In a manner similar to Jester, the cleric class is just the type of powers that F.C.G. has, but in roleplay, they'll be drastically different. While it is still early, they haven't shown any outward signs of any sort of faith. It's likely they'll be played more like a DoAnythingRobot with the cleric abilities serving as a sort of PowersAsPrograms.
* Possibly confirmed, as Sam has occasionally used altered names for his abilities that remove any religious or divine references, and there has been no mention whatsoever of F.C.G. following or even being aware of any kind of deity.
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Bertrand is actually a Changeling]]
If he doesn't die, this could also be the reveal.
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Opal makes an appearance...]]
...with the twist that she's freed herself of the circlet by ''destroying Lolth and becoming the new Spider Queen.''
* Subverted. She's back in a EXU followup, and Lolth is still around, but she technically frees herself of the circlet.
* Double subverted when Aimee Carrero joins the main campaign... as Deni$e.

[[WMG: Bertrand is scared of Laudna because she reminds him of Lieve'tel Toluse]]
A gothic woman with strange powers? Yeah, that sure sounds like Bertrand's old fling, and his last adventure (that we know of) with someone like that ended up with him retiring, the poor soul...
* Most likely jossed, as Bertrand's dying act was to fondly call Lieve'tel's name.

[[WMG: Ashton's Rage abilities]]
So the Path of Fundamental Chaos is obviously a homebrew for them, but just going off what we've seen, I think we can predict a few abilities that Ashton may still be packing. His abilities seem to be based the four fundamental forces of nature (gravity, electromagnetism, weak & strong bonds). So far we've seen him create a gravity well, cause a red/blueshift, as well as imbue his attacks with both lightning and force damage. One possible damage option he may still be packing is radiant damage, as well as potentially having abilities that negate flight (by making them to dense to fly) or even bonding enemies so closely together that they can no longer move.
* Most likely jossed. There's one more subclass feature we haven't seen, but the fundamental forces of the class are gravity, space, time, and potential, and so far none of the suggested abilities have come up.

[[WMG: Dugger is an undead]]
An acquaintance of Dugger describes the dwarf as just a regular, healthy-looking dwarf until his more recent, pasty appearance. While this person suggests it's due to suude abuse, what if something happened to Dugger that changed him into an undead creature, perhaps a Hollow One like Laudna?
* Joshed, he was a shadecreeper.

[[WMG: Imogen is Laudna's descendant]]
Native Marquesians are mostly dark-skinned, so Imogen may either be a foreigner or a child of foreigners. Her parents may have been Laudna's children, or niece or nephew, and their spouse, and that would be why Laudna is so attached to and protective of her.
* Probably Jossed - Laudna became undead as a young adult, and she made no reference to being in a relationship or having any children at the time. She gave specific mention to her parents being present at the feast held by Lord and Lady Briarwood, but not to any other relatives:
-->"My parents thought that getting an invitation to the palace, to the castle, to meet the Lord and Lady Briarwood was a great boon. We were promised a wonderful feast and an amazing party. We were told we were going to be serving a greater purpose for Whitestone... I remember being tossed clothes to wear, told to change. We'd be served a wonderful dinner, which we were. It was actually quite fantastic. It was like filet, a little surf and turf, had some lobsters. And then... That was it. They dragged me away, separated me from my parents. I was brutally beaten and then... It's a little fuzzy after that."
** That doesn't however rule out the possibility that Laudna had siblings who survived and had children
** Jossing my own WMG. Doesn't look like I was right, we'll get 'em next time lads.

[[WMG: Chetney is also temporary]]
Just because how funny would it be if Travis introduced a character older than Bertrand, doddered around with the group for three episodes, died, and then came back as somebody ''even older''.
* Jossed but there is a running gag that every so often Travis rolls a d100 to see if Chetney dies in his sleep.

[[WMG:More guesses for Travis' next character]]
* The golem from Cyrus' backstory
** Partly jossed with Chetney, since there's no guarantee he'll be around for the long run either
** Fully jossed now.

[[WMG: Chetney is a wanted man]]
Ignoring the obvious parallels between him and Chutney, who tried to kill Santa, Chutney has made several dodgy comments about his potential past, frequently lies to the party about why he needs Gurge so badly, and let slip that he may be in the city because he had to flee bounty hunters. He did ''something'', likely murder or attempted murder, possibly of an abusive or manipulative employer.
* Jossing myself again. He may have been in a bit of trouble, but it doesn't seem he was actively being hunted for it.

[[WMG: FCG is going to go full Johnny 5 rage when he finds Dancer's killers]]
DISASSEMBLE!!!
* Jossed.

[[WMG: There's some sort of self-protective mechanism in FCG's head.]]
The mysterious "two points" Matt had Sam take after Imogene looked into FCG's mind was referring to the self-protective mechanism weakening upon FCG trying to actively remember the events surrounding the night of his friends' deaths. If he keeps probing or having other people look into his mind, the mechanism will eventually break down entirely and he'll remember everything. Now, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing...
* Jossed.

[[WMG: Fearne's True Name Isn't "Fearne Calloway"]]
Fearne is from the Feywild, and fey have traditionally been linked to [[IKnowYourTrueName powers attached to names]]. (One such example can be seen in the Archfey Artagan, who's gone by aliases like Garmelie and The Traveler.) And if Nightmare King Ira's recognition of Fearne as "a Calloway" is anything to go by, then Fearne's family seems to have some level of power and influence in the Feywild. If names are indeed a source of power to fey creatures, it would be strange for a fey from a powerful family to give out her name (and her Grandmother's name (Morrigan) and her parents' names (Birdie and Oleander)) so freely, even to her friends. Perhaps "Calloway" is a sort of courtesy name that Fearne's family uses, so as not to give away their true names.
* Likely jossed. There's no evidence that true names are a thing in Exandria's feywild, and as of episode 69 (nice) there is no suggestion that Fearne's name isn't Fearn Calloway.

[[WMG: The R.T.A. ''is'' the Royal Toymaker's Association.]]
It serves as Uthoderm's own version of the Volstruckers/Scourgers but hides its activities by having all its members be toymakers, turning it into a MilkmanConspiracy. The leader, Oltgar, is an {{Expy}} of Santa who uses his extensive information network to silence those who cause problems for the king ("He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness' sake"), and Chetney used to be one of his operatives before deserting after being sent to kill a child - something that Chetney couldn't accept, seeing it as a violation of his duty as a toymaker.
** Jossed.

[[WMG: "D" is Devexian]]
His metal mask is actually his face, and he's rooting through the ruins of an Age of Arcanum city in the Rumedam Desert.
** It could be that the reason he's going around selling pieces of technology and other dormant Aeormaton's is because he and the other's he might have awakened havent figured out how to repair them by themselves and so hope that the people who would most value buying such tech would be the most capable of fixing it, something that seems to have panned out at least somewhat with FCG
** Going back, the Campaign 2 wrapup mentions that Devexian is traveling the world and restoring other Aeormatons, so this theory seems more and more likely.
** Jossed, it's Delilah.
*** No, there are two "D"s. One is explicitly Delilah, but someone else named D is travelling around selling Aeormatons.

[[WMG:Players with dead [=PCs=] will reprise their previous characters, either from campaign 1 or 2.]]
The most likely combination is Pike, a cleric who can resurrect people as well as deal damage; Caleb (and possibly Essek and/or Beau in tow), who has a vested interest in dunamis, and Keyleth (assuming Laudna dies), because she's been a driving force behind some major events.
* Jossed as of Episode 37 -- Matt has played all previous [=PCs=] to reappear thus far, including Keyleth, Percy, Vex, and Pike.

[[WMG:Laudna was orphaned and adopted at some point prior to her fateful dinner at Whitestone Castle.]]
When seeing some of Laudna's memories in Episode 37, her younger self is called Matilda, but seeing the memory of her just before the dinner, she's called Laudna by her mother. It may be that her birth parents died at some point and she was adopted and her parents gave her a new name. (More mundane alternative, she just started using her middle name because she liked it better.)
* Jossed -- Marisha stated in an episode of "4-Sided Dive" that Laudna's birth name was "Matilda Bradbury," and she kept it for several years after reviving and fleeing Whitestone. She assumed the name Laudna after a prolonged period of isolation caused her to start "losing touch with who she was and where she came from." Matt also stated that it was his intention to convey the sense that "the scenes were starting to kind of crumble a bit," with Delilah having a difficult time maintaining control over the environs.

[[WMG: The Split-Party Situation Will Be An Opportunity for Players to Reprise Past Characters]]
The Apogee Solstice saw player characters from Campaign 1 and Campaign 2 make an appearance (with Keyleth, Vaxildan, Beau, and Caleb all showing up to try and stop Da'leth's plans), all played by the DM. At the end of Episode 51, the activation of the Maleus Key appears to have teleported the Bells Hells across the face of Exandria in two groups. Fresh Cut Grass, Fearne, Chetney and Imogen found themselves in the Crystalsands Tundra of Wildemount, while Laudna, Ashton, and Orym wind up lost in an unknown location (a rocky landscape with sulphurous fumaroles and a view of the now-tethered red moon off in the distance). Logistically speaking, it will probably take a couple episodes to get all the members of Bells Hells back in one place. The next few episodes could be run with half the cast offscreen at a time as the split party tries to regroup... OR with the cast members reprising past characters to aid their current team. Team Wildemount could hypothetically encounter Beau and Caleb, while Team Lost might work with members of Vox Machina.
* Jossed. No old faces showed up during the party split.

[[WMG: Bor'Dor Dog'Son is a Border Collie sheepdog that got polymorphed into a humanoid]]
Pretty self-explanatory, really, the name, his description of himself as a shepherd, stating that his father raises sheepdogs, and his general demeanour.
* Jossed, unfortunately.

[[WMG:What the crying of Dariax and Dorian really means]]
They both look like they've been through hell, so this can mean several [=sub-WMGs=]:
* Opal Is KilledOffForReal - something goes wrong with the Spider Queen deal, or maybe Aimee just realised she'd reached the end of her arc
* Fy'ra Rai is KilledOffForReal - she's fit the requirements for a SacrificialLion for a while
** Jossed [[spoiler:as of episode 93. It's Cyrus.]]
