Business has been good lately due to an increase in tourism — people are coming to experience the mysterious phenomenon known as "The Giant of Harusu." But then, other strange things start to occur, and Kuugo begins to wonder if something sinister is behind it, while solving the mystery of "The Poisonous Fountain".

The plot itself revolves around the day-to-day internal operations of the Lounge and its employees' relationships with one another. There is also an unchecked fascination with a mysterious fountain in the middle of town which appears to have some connection to the rampant earthquakes which have been occurring sporadically, dubbed "The Giant of Harusu."

13	A remake of the first game, officially dubbed ''Lagoon Lounge: The Poisonous Fountain'', was released for Steam on July 5th, 2018, with improved graphics and enhanced character designs, while a new character was also introduced: Arashi Hinomoto, the newly-appointed chef for the Lagoon Lounge's rival restaurant, the Black Cat Café. The creator has also released a remake of the second game for Steam on January 26th, 2024, officially dubbed ''Lagoon Lounge 2: The Secret Roommate''.
