''Time of Dragons'' is a massive multiplayer battle game that features, well, Dragons. It has a playstyle similar to that of games like ''VideoGame/WarThunder'' or ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarplanes'', just, [[GarnishingTheStory it has Dragons]] instead of planes.

The game was developed by 4 i Studio and released on February 1st, 2016. It is free to play, and is [[http://store.steampowered.com/app/353130/ available]] through UsefulNotes/{{Steam}}.

[[SimilarlyNamedWorks Not related]] to ''VideoGame/WarDragons'', which is a mobile TowerDefense game.

!!This game provides examples of:
* AirJousting: And lots of it given that the weapons are fixed forward.
* BottomlessMagazines: Rockets and Mines don't seem to have an ammo count, just cool down times.
* BoringButPractical: Although it doesn't do much damage, the basic plasma cannon all of the Dragons start with can very quickly rack up damage once you get the hang of it.
* CameraAbuse: When you fly through smoke screens, you'll very quickly find that your target markers are gone, and you yourself can no longer see until you're out of the screen. Just don't be in a high speed dive.
* CherryTapping: The specialty of the basic plasma cannon.
* ColdSniper: The potential of the Rail Gun can quickly make players into this.
* CriticalHit: The "Sniper" award is granted for achieving this.
* DeathFromAbove: Can happen when players apply "Boom and Zoom" tactics of [=WW2=] to Dragons.
* ExperiencePoints: DNA is unlocked with each level, which in turn is used to unlock new Dragons.
* FixedForwardFacingWeapon: Your primary, and Secondary weapons are fixed forward. The Cronus also breaths fire directly ahead.
* KillItWithFire: This being a game with Dragons, you can expect that some dragons will have this as a feature.
* LeadTheTarget: You have to fire where the target will be at longer ranges. At short range, or if you're using the Rail Gun, you can reliably aim at the target.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Load up the rockets, and let'em fly at enemy Dragons. They have IFF thankfully, so you won't have to worry about hitting friendlies by accident.
* OverHeating: All weapons over-heat, and must cool down before firing again. Ergo, it's better to fire in short, controlled bursts unless you can guarantee the kill and get out while your weapons cool down.
* RammingAlwaysWorks: If you slam into another dragon, both dragons will take damage. The one with the most health at impact will usually be the better off, but if both are of sufficient health, the most that will happen, is both will just lose some health.
