''VideoGame/StreetFighterII'' ([[CapcomSequelStagnation and its updates]]) was one of the hottest games of the early nineties, so some companies decided to FollowTheLeader and make their own {{Fighting Game}}s to compete against Creator/{{Capcom}}. And then there a few [[SerialNumberFiledOff who went a little too far in trying to replicate that game]]. Super Fighter (in Chinese: 快打至尊) is a fighting game for IBM-PC systems running MS-DOS. It was developed by C&E, Inc. of UsefulNotes/{{Taiwan}}, and first released in Taiwan on February 20, 1993.

The ExcusePlot of the game is as follows: "The game's plot centers on a drug broker and his murderous minions who claim ownership of the world's combined freedom. Showing their true menace by murdering top ranking government officials, they send a shockwave of fear across the United Nations. Eight heroes, trained to readiness, accept the challenge of going face to face with the top three of this evil circle. The outcome of this battle will truly decide where man's freedoms lie."

And amazingly enough despite being such a blatant knock-off, it was given a mobile game spin-off, called ''Super Fighter Block Battle'', in 2008 and a re-release in 2013 for Microsoft Windows on the [[MilestoneCelebration 15th and 20th anniversaries of the game's release]] respectively, by a group of developers calling themselves Super Fighter Team.

Notably this is [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3RAGJ9Hm30 one of the infamous games played and riffed]] as part of WebVideo/TwoBestFriendsPlay's Saturday Morning Scrublords series.

Not related to the similarly named 2011 video game ''VideoGame/{{Superfighters}}''.
----
!!This VideoGame contains examples of:
%% * {{Acrofatic}}: Joker
* TheAggressiveDrugDealer: Red Man, who plans on using his drug cartel as a means to TakeOverTheWorld...just like M. Bison and Shadaloo.
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Onimaru, for whatever reason, has light-green skin. Whether this is some sort of play on his name, as it contains the word {{Oni}} in it (even though in Myth/JapaneseMythology, they are more likely to be blue or red), is unknown.
* AmbidextrousSprite: Since this is an old 2D game, Onimaru's patch, cane-holding hand, and peg leg naturally reverse when he faces the opposite side. Kim Tai Chi's sword flips to the other shoulder as well.
* AnimeChineseGirl: Phoenix.
* ArachnidAppearanceAndAttire: Widow, [[BlackWidow somewhat befitting her name]], has some spider motifs in her design, most notably wearing having face paint in the shape of a spider.
* AxCrazy: Red Man. He is just as much motivated by seeking to bring about mindless violence as he is in achieving world domination. Judging by his arcade ending, in which he is shown with his hands soaked in blood and surrounded by a group of {{Badass Biker}}s (who may or may not be his minions), he is more interested in doing the former being that "As his organization grew so did his madness" and also took pleasure in the amount of pain he has inflicted.
* BoxingBattler: Bullet, who has plenty of BrooklynRage to boot.
* BraidsOfAction: Joker, who is a male example of the trope.
* CardCarryingVillain: Red Man, given that he is motivated to bring about violence and oppression upon the world for no greater purpose than his own amusement.
* CastOfExpies: Of the characters from the ''Street Fighter'' series, though Frank is somewhat unique as he is partly a CaptainErsatz of [[VideoGame/FatalFury Terry Bogard]]. The characters, and whom they are pastiches of (at least moveset wise), are listed below:
** Jaan: Ryu
** Sarkov: Zangief
** Phoenix: Chun-Li
** Frank: Ken Masters
** Onimaru: Dhalsim
** Lan: Guile
** Widow: Vega (Claw)
** Joker: E. Honda
** Red Man: Blanka
** Bullet: Balrog (Boxer)
** Kim Tai Chi: M. Bison (Dictator) and Sagat
* CoDragons: Joker and Widow serve as these for Red Man.
* CompositeCharacter: While the makers of the game are blatantly infringing on Capcom's property, the Taiwanese developers do employ this as a way of making their roster of characters more unique, or then at least seem so. One particular example is Phoenix, the resident Chun-Li ersatz, [[{{Irony}} who can perform her own versions of M. Bison's moves]].
* DevilComplex: Red Man claims to be the reincarnation of {{Satan}}.
* DragonsUpTheYinYang: While Kim Tai Chi doesn't have any Dragon designs on him, he does have two taijitus (AKA the "yin-yang" symbol), one tattooed on his head and another on his chest harness. It's justified in that the flag of UsefulNotes/SouthKorea (where he's from) features it as part of its design (though with a red and blue version instead of the usual black and white), and thus can also be considered a sort of [[WearingAFlagOnYourHead display of patriotism]].
* EagleLand: Both varieties are represented in this game. There are the heroic characters Frank and Bullet, but also the [[BigBad main antagonist]] Red Man.
%% * FatBastard: Joker.
%% * FemmeFatale: Widow.
* {{Gonk}}: Onimaru has this appearance due to injuries from a previous encounter against Red Man's cartel.
* HandicappedBadass: Onimaru; despite having lost a leg (and having it replaced with a peg leg), needing a staff as a makeshift cane, and serious injuries to his head (needing cybernetics to replace his left eye and metal plating around the parts of his face surrounding his lost eye), he can still hold his own against all the other fighters of the cast.
* TheMockbuster: As a bootleg of ''Street Fighter II'', this more or less sums up this game.
* MsFanservice: Widow; the {{Fanservice}} tropes she embodies are StatuesqueStunner (At 6'1", Widow qualifies) and {{Stripperific}} as she wears an outfit that exposes much of her skin. She also [[WhipOfDominance uses a whip]] and has mannerisms like those of a {{Dominatrix}} (which is a fetish some people have, [[OrSoIHeard if you're into that kind of thing]]). Considering that this game is made in Taiwan, this British-hailing villainess would also qualify as a GorgeousGaijin.
* {{Ninja}}: Onimaru, though he doesn't have the appearance that most people would expect of a ninja, [[HandicappedBadass especially considering his disabilities mentioned above]].
* PartsUnknown: Averted as every single character, including the villains Widow, Joker, and Red Man (from the U.K., Egypt, and United States respectively), has an identified nationality.
* TheSavageIndian: Red Man... And yes, you read right, the developers named the [[HollywoodNatives Native]] [[BadassNative American]] character "Red Man".
** In the original release, he was even named Indian Joe.
