Realm Defense is an iOS and TowerDefense game by Babeltime, including elements of Hero Defense in it. The classic version was released in 2015, and the UpdatedRerelease Realm Defense: Hero Legends TD followed in 2016.

The game features different Realms to defend7, as of the latest update., each featuring several levels in groups of ten, usually ending with a boss level. Each Realm feature different sets of towers that you can use to defend yourself, as well as different hordes of enemies with different skills.

* Pridefall Kingdom: The majestic and noble realm of Pridefall, besieged by hordes of undead and Slimes from the Googunk valley.
* Fjordgaard: A kingdom of ice and snow currently attacked by hordes of Goblins and Orcs.
* Sunstorm Sands: Once a proud desert kingdom, the advancing Anubian Army is corrupting its champions and heroes.
* Caelum Cloudveil: A kingdom above the cloud where witches, warlocks and evil elementals are rampaging.
* Tartarus: The underground domain of the Dwarves, currently overrun by the Dark Elves and the lava creatures.
* Okakoku: A land of cherry blossoms, mountains and seas home to honourable warriors who fight for justice.
* Sphere of Elysium: A lush paradise and self-proclaimed Land of the Gods, its lands now corrupted by slime and waste from the Citadel.

Furthermore, you can also hire Heroes to fight in the levels: two heroes are for free and some of them can be seen in action for free in certain stages, but you need to spend gemsacquired usually through quests, realm siege and daily trials, as well as real cash). You can only use up to three heroes per stage. As heroes gain experience and level up they become stronger and unlock new skills, which can be improved further by completing special levels. It's also possible to use Elixirs to level them up faster. To unlock most heroes you must first complete a boss stage in the main campaign mode. As you increase the heroes' skills, you get to learn more about said hero's background and story.

Aside from the Campaign mode, you can also play ChallengesUnlocked by buying certain heroes, Endless modesOne level per realm., Tournament, Realm Siege, Arcade and the Shattered Realms.

!!Realm Defense contains examples of:
* ActionBomb: One upgrade for the Necromancer Necro Tower turns skeletons into these, dealing damage when they're killed.
* ActionGirl: Aside from the heroines, Archer Towers, Mage Towers and Boomerang Towers are manned by women.
* ActuallyFourMooks: Parodied by the Goblin Tallman: they're actually three goblins standing on each other and wielding a long spear. When they're killed they simply split back into three ordinary goblins.
* AdvancingBossOfDoom: Pretty much all the bosses, since they obliterate all your hearts in one go. Averted with Raijin as he doesn't advance towards the exit. However, he summons Mini-Bosses that will advance towards it in his place.
* AirborneMook: Flying enemies can only be attacked by ranged heroes or certain types of towers. Some of them will simply drop to the ground when killed, forcing you to kill them again.
* AllThereInTheManual: Averted, you can read most of the Heroes' background in their menu, and learn even more when you improve their skills in the bonus levels.
* AreaOfEffect: Aside from certain heroic skills, Cannon Towers and Dragon Towers tend to deal damage in a small area and damage multiple enemies. Mage Towers deal damage to all units caught in its linear beam, while Boomerang Towers damage enemies caught in the path of their glaives.
* ArmorPiercingAttack: Certain power ups for the towers can let them do this.
* AsteroidsMonster: Large Slimes will split in two slimes when killed. Slime Blobs will split into two Large Slimes. Parodied with the Goblin Tallman as seen above.
* BigfootSasquatchAndYeti: The first Boss of Fjordgaard is a gigantic Yeti that throws highly-damaging snowballs at your troops as he advance.
* BlobMonster: The main threat to Pridefall Kingdom. They are lead by the Slime King.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: Helios was this during the campaign mode. Killing her let you have her on your side.
* BreadEggsBreadedEggs: The enemies in Pridefall are mostly Slimes and Skeletons. The first boss... is a Skeleton mage merged with a gigantic Slime.
* BribingYourWayToVictory: Downplayed, it's possible to buy Diamonds to buy heroes and items or to gain access to new worlds, but if you're patient enough you can level grind day by day and get the same results.
* ChainLightning: The upgrade for the Thor Towers let them hit multiple enemies at once.
* ContractualBossImmunity: Except for the bosses of Pridefall, all bosses cannot be Stunned or Scared.
* DeathFromAbove: The Armageddon item bombards all enemies across a generous portion of path with Purple TechnicolorFire. The Meteor not only destroys everything with a fiery explosion, it also summons two gigantic Magma Elementals to fight for you.

* FloatingContinent: The setting of the fourth world, Caelum Cloudveil.
* ForcedTransformation: Genie Towers, when fully upgraded, can turn enemies into harmless chickens for a short while.
* FragileSpeedster: Some enemies are very fast and hard to hit but fall easily against heroes or troops. Includes Giant Spiders, Warthogs and Goblin Maniacs.
* GiantSpiders: They appear as fast, hard-to-hit enemies in Pridefall. A variation is slower but poisons nearby troops.
* GrimUpNorth: The setting of the second world, Fjordgaard.
* HornyVikings: The soldiers from the Mead Hall, only with longsword. They also invoke Valhalla and can even revive as ghost if killed.
* HorseOfADifferentColor: The Avian Knights from Cloudveil ride gigantic birds: two of them fight on ground, but a third one can fight airborne enemies.
* JavelinThrower: Sunstorm Sands has Spear Towers that can attack with stunning, long-range or poisonous spears, deal massive damage with an erupting mass of spears and summon explosive robots. Avian Knights are capable of doing this as well through a star upgrade.
* LethalLavaLand: The setting of the fifth world, Tartarus.
* LightEmUp: Mirror Towers from Sunstorm Sands can continuously burn enemies with reflected sunlight, blind groups of foes and scorch them with concentrated sunlight burst.

* MightyGlacier: Heroes like Lancelot, Sethos and Obsidian, as well as certain monsters like Trolls and Orcs.

* NightOfTheLivingMooks: Undead monsters are encountered as enemies in the first and third world, though the Necro Tower fights for your side, using undead skeletons to block the enemies.

* OurGeniesAreDifferent: Genie Towers can attack by shooting energy bolts and charming enemies. They're blue at level one, then purple then red. They have the power of turning enemies to poultry and replicate powers from previous towers. Djinns are undead-looking Genies that freed themselves from their lamps.
* OurGoblinsAreDifferent: Small, green, belligerent humanoids wielding dark powers and hungry for blood.... nope.
* OurOrcsAreDifferent: Orcs are allied with Goblins and are slower but much more powerful, capable of taking a lot of damage before they die.

* ShockAndAwe: Thor Towers can electrify enemies and summon powerful bolts of lightning.
* SplashDamage: Used by Cannon Towers, Dragon Towers and Thor Towers. Some heroes also deal splash damage in their abilities.
* StoneWall: The fully-powered Knights are the toughest units in Pridefall, as well as other troop towers in other worlds.
