2	In 2002, Turkish-based developer Vivid Image released this weapon based FightingGame for the Platform/GameBoyAdvance. A summary from the other wiki states: "Dual Blades is a fighting video game published by [=Metro3D=], Inc. for the Game Boy Advance. It is a fighting game with single player and player versus player modes. It features a "power combining system" which was very new for the genre at that time. This system allows players to create their own fighting style. Characters include ninjas, knights, and American adventurers, an Ottoman warrior named Efe and Nagasapa, an innocent-looking old lady who is in fact a Khazak sorceress."

4	In 2013, a sequel titled "Slashers the Power Battle" was released as an IndieGame for Windows [[Platform/IBMPersonalComputer PCs]], Platform/{{Android\|Games}}, and, in the following years, Platform/{{OUYA}} and [[UsefulNotes/IOSGames iOS]]. It was made by Stun Games, the successor entity to Vivid Image, and was also [[http://www.kiss-ltd.co.uk/news/slashers-the-power-battle-out-on-early-access-today/ published by KISS Ltd]]. Those latter are Shin (somewhere in eastern Asia), Duke Andre (somewhere in Europe), and Rungard ("Middle Europe"). Then there is one, Jaman, who is among a race of beings known as Bloodkin.

Kanae is a swordswoman who is one of the last surviving members of her family who were killed by a clan of {{Ninja}}s [[{{Revenge}} which she seeks to destroy]]. Her sister, Mirei, was abducted by those very same ninjas and raised to believe that the Ozawas had supposedly committed an evil for which their extermination was justified. While Kanae does not wish to kill her sister, she doesn't hesitate to fight and incapacitate her if need be.
23	* StanceSystem: ''Dual Blades'' and ''Slashers'' has a version of this called the "power combining system" that is similar to the ''Samurai Shodown'' series' Slash/Bust system, which is rather fitting given the inspiration for these games.
