The second game in the ''VideoGame/ChaosRings'' franchise, and a prequel to the [[VideoGame/ChaosRings first game]].

In ''Chaos Rings Ω'', we see the events of the Ark Arena during the tournament preceding the original ''Chaos Rings''. The game abandons the multiple perspectives of the original, focusing instead on a man named Vieg. This game provides backstory to the events of the original, while adding additional content and bosses.

!!This game provides examples of:

* AbilityRequiredToProceed: The passive ability Intuit (Divine Diversion) (which is acquired after [[spoiler:Vahti becomes playable]]) is needed to defeat [[spoiler:Yorath]], since it prevents this boss' Divine Diversion ability from instantly knocking you out.
* BodyHorror: [[spoiler:The penultimate boss of ''Omega'' is Dante and Rachel mashed together into a single creature.]]
* BraggingRightsReward: In Extra Mode, a few pieces of equipment can only be stolen from high-level enemies. By the time you can unlock these dungeon levels, it's likely that you have found much more powerful items inside chests.
* ContinuityNod: Piu-Piu returns as the shopkeeper and bonus boss for the game.
* ConvectionSchmonvection: ZigZagged. The lava does provide enough heat to damage the characters every turn in battle when you fight over it, but not nearly as much as it should. [[spoiler: Then, Olgar jumps in to save Vahti and Ohm, and is able to ''wade'' through it, slowly, giving a long speech about the importance of family, place his daughter and grandson safely on a walkway, and then, ''finally'' sink into the lava as it burns him away.]]
* DualBoss: Except for the first case, all of the following bosses can use Pair Attacks like player characters can:
** The Progenitor's Left Eye and Progenitor's Right Eye collectively serve as the first boss fight in Purging Sin (the fourth dungeon).
** Immediately after entering the Conglom Plant, you have to fight [[spoiler:Cyllis]] and [[spoiler:Yorath]], but only the former needs to be defeated to win the fight.
** Extra Mode features recurring battles against Garrick and Alto, and one battle against each playable couple in the first game plus Cyllis and Yorath.
* DuelBoss:
** Vieg fights Olgar in a one-on-one duel in their couples' match in the Ark Arena, since their wives are indisposed.
** During the first half of Path of Tears, until after the fight against the boss Progenitor's Tongue, Vieg is the only playable character.
** [[spoiler:Vieg vs Yorath; then when Vieg collapses Olgar takes over for him.]]
* EarnYourHappyEnding
* EvolvingWeapon: The attack bonus of Olgar's sword Creator (Ohm) increases each time an item in the Baby-Care Set is bought, or when Ohm is given any kind of milk other than mother's milk, from 110 to 950.
* ExposedToTheElements: Justified as [[spoiler:all the environments are artificial.]]
* ForegoneConclusion: If you assume that this timeline is canon to or similar to the canon for any of the timelines represented in the original game, you already know:
** [[spoiler: Kushina is going to die and Ayuta is going to go into cold sleep for 10,000 years and have his memory wiped.]]
** [[spoiler: Olgar and Rachel are going to die.]]
** [[spoiler: Vieg is going to be renamed Olgar and escape the Ark with Vahti.]]
* GottaCatchThemAll: The main objective in Extra Mode is to collect all 64 Piu-Piu's Collection items. While most are obtained by defeating bosses, opening golden locked chests (both of which are marked on the minimap) or talking to Rachel, two are carefully hidden in the Home area.
* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:The Ark Arena's purpose is to train humanity to fight against the Qualia, which is far more dangerous than BigBad Cyllis, though it's not directly involved in the plot until the first game]].
* HubLevel: The Ark Arena itself serves as one.
* InterfaceSpoiler: [[spoiler:Vieg and Olgar's stuff being marked "O" (Olgar) and "D" (Dante, his original name) respectively, and finding equipment for Vahti before she becomes playable.]]
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: If not outright BreakingTheFourthWall. During a fight with Garrick and Alto in Extra Mode, Garrick charges up a OneHitKill attack while taunting that there's no escaping it because there's no way to run from boss battles. In line with Extra Mode's satirical bent, [[spoiler:you ''can'' run from this one and in fact have to in order to proceed; with Olgar pointing out that it's stupid ''not'' to escape certain doom.]]
-->'''Olgar:''' [[spoiler:''[after Garrick and Alto are shocked that they escaped]'' Since when did you guys become bosses?]]
* LegacyBossBattle:
** In the main story, the Executioner and the Agent reprise their role as bosses from the first game.
** In Extra Mode, two gold-skull bosses (Ultimate Agent and The Almighty (Striped)) are callbacks to the True Agent and the Almighty, sharing the same movesets and battle backgrounds. The post-game content also features battle against each playable couple from the first game, who also use the same movesets they did when fought in the first game (either in other couples' main story, or in their own scenario as Atmans).
* LegacyCharacter: The name ''Olgar'' is actually a title borne by two different persons. The real name of the Olgar of ''Omega'' is Dante, and he passed the title on to his son-in-law Vieg, who is the Olgar of the first game.
* MistakenForGay: Early in ''Omega'' Olgar and Vieg leave their wives behind due to Vahti's pregnancy. Given the "couples" setup, when Ayuta sees them fighting together he asks if ''they're'' "involved".
* NonStandardGameOver: The FinalBoss must be defeated within 10 turns; failing this and you're immediately knocked back to the main menu.
* PermanentlyMissableContent: In Extra Mode, the First Kiss (the best jewel in the game) can only be obtained after defeating Berserk Piu-Piu, who can be fought by giving the Viper Vitality tonic to Piu-Piu. Although this item is also a battle consumable, only one of it exists in the entire game, rendering First Kiss unobtainable if you have already used it.
* RetCon: Maybe. Hard to say when you're dealing with multiple timelines.
** In Ayuta and Olgar's timelines in the original game, Olgar killed Ayuta. In this game, [[spoiler: Cyllis kills him]].
** In Olgar's timeline, Ayuta states that Olgar and Vahti killed Vahti's parents. In this game, [[spoiler: Cyllis kills Rachel, and Olgar dies in a HeroicSacrifice to save Vahti and Ohm. They do kill the Conglom made with their genes and memories, however.]]
* ShopFodder: Piu-Piu's Collection items have no uses other than being sold for OZ. ''Omega'' explains why they're scattered around the place; Piu-Piu smuggled the stuff aboard the Ark Arena and the Agent confiscated it. A collection of what is never specified, but [[PornStash one can hazard a guess.]]
-->'''Piu-Piu:''' Especially those 3D ones. Once you try those, believe me, you can never go back...
* TranquilFury: After discovering [[spoiler:Rachel's corpse]], Olgar is noticeably angry, but he doesn't yell once.
* TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon: [[spoiler: Cyllis' Dreamscape]].
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:Yorath]] suffers one when [[spoiler:Dante]] refuses to go down no matter how much damage he suffers. In an unusually positive variation, this leads to his HeelFaceTurn.
* WhatMeasureIsANonHuman: Brought to the forefront in ''Omega'', as [[spoiler:Cyllis, who breeds all the Ark Arena's monsters, is upset that her children keep getting sent to be killed.]]
