''Army Corps of Hell'' is a real-time strategy game developed by Entersphere and released exclusively for the Platform/PlayStationVita. It is from the same writer as the ''VideoGame/{{Pikmin}}'' games, which explains the many similarities.

----
!!This game provides examples of:

* AdorableEvilMinions: Or UglyCute ones at least.
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: The King's personal upgrades are based around Skulls and [[BadassCape Mantles]]. The latter both play the trope straight and subvert it. It's subverted in that each outfit has a rating that determines how far away you can revive your minions from, making them very useful. But played straight in that the vast majority of the mantles have the same stats, so the choice is purely cosmetic.
* BadAssCape: Both cosmetic and as a gameplay mechanic.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin The Insects]]. They range from small ball-like ticks, up to huge [[Creator/HRGiger Giger-esque]] monstrosities.
* BadIsGoodAndGoodIsBad: During the battle with [[spoiler: Grangela]] the goblins comment about being afraid of being sent to a "heavenly fate".
* BigRedDevil: The flying demon bosses fit virtually every criteria aside from actually being red. Mag[[MeaningfulName flare]] plays it totally straight, with added VolcanicVeins.
* BlackSpeech: The King of Hell speaks in some made-up murky language.
* BonusLevelOfHell: Or rather, Bonus Level of [[spoiler: Purgatory and Tartarus.]]
* ButtMonkey: The Goblin Adviser is prone to getting [[PunchedAcrossTheRoom kicked across the room]] for accidental slights.
* ChargeAttack: The Magi Goblins work this way. In addition to the usual choice, it also includes the ability to charge in formation; which causes the attack to build slower but also significantly increases your movement speed.
* DualBoss: The Diabolical Twins.
* ElementalPowers: Fittingly for HeavyMetal Hell, magic in the game is divided across only two elements; [[KillItWithFire Fire]] and [[PsychoElectro Lightning]]. Lightning is especially dangerous to your minions as while most other damage can be undone fairly easily, electricity will kill your goblins DeaderThanDead. Naturally many stages have [[DeathCourse shock mazes]].
* EvilSoundsDeep
* EvilVsEvil: The King of Hell isn't the only ruler of evil, but he [[GottaKillEmAll wants to be]].
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Frequently, especially after the goblins get another upgrade.
* HereWeGoAgain: The main game ends with [[spoiler: The King declaring his intentions to conquer Heaven, and leaving his minions behind to do so. The Credits roll and then... he's immediately blown back down to Hell exactly as in the opening.]]
* HornedHumanoid: The King, he has antlers by default but various horn styles can be equipped.
* ItemCrafting: You can alchemize various items and equipment from the dead bodies of demons. If your minions die a lot in combat you can also use their body parts.
* LargeHam: The King manages this even with such minimal dialogue.
* LightIsNotGood: [[spoiler: Grangela, Nemesis Deliverer, final boss of the main game and the creature responsible for the King's "condition".]]
* NoPlotNoProblem: You're a demon lord invading hell. What more is there to know?
* OurAngelsAreDifferent: [[spoiler: Grangela is a huge creature of living marble with a humanoid face, who would not look at all out of place among the [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII Fal'cie]].]]
* RedSkyTakeWarning: Being Hell, it happens quite a bit. Humorously enough, due to a heavier amount of electric traps many of the blue skied stages are actually scarier.
* RockMeAsmodeus: The Game. In addition to the Metal soundtrack, you can also create guitars to increase your goblins power.
* {{Sandworm}}: They seem to be part worm and part snake, as their fangs are a crafting ingredient. Particularly annoying as aside from attacking below, they can only be hurt from behind and can permanently destroy goblins, though thankfully less reliably then lightning.
* ShoutOut:
** It's not clear if the King of Hell was based on [[WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron The Horned King]] but the resemblance and his popularity in Japan makes it plausible.
** Stage 20 is called, fittingly enough, [[Literature/TheLordOfTheRings The Return of The King]].
* SpeakingSimlish
* StrippedToTheBone: This happens to the King shortly before the game begins. The fact he can no longer eat particularly gets on his nerves.
