->''"Leap into a giant world full of adventure and danger! A shadowy Robloxian known as [[BigBad Stratosfear]] has smashed all of the stars out of the sky, and proceeded to lock up several areas in Maytown so that nobody can reach any of the stars. The citizens of Maytown need a [[TheHero hero]] who can banish Stratosfear once and for all. [[CallToAdventure Rise up and become the Star Savior!]]"''
-->--The game's description

Inspired by games such as ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'' and ''VideoGame/SuperMarioSunshine'', ''Adventure Forward: Star Savior'' is a PlatformGame on Platform/{{ROBLOX}} created by explode1. As in the aforementioned games, players advance through levels by [[PlotCoupon collecting stars]] that unlock new worlds. There are seven different worlds, plus various secret worlds scattered around [[HubLevel Maytown]]. They are as follows:
* [[TheLostWoods Whistling Woods]] --First Level
* [[BuildLikeAnEgyptian Pharaoh Falls]] --Requires 1 Star
* [[PalmtreePanic Tropical Isles]] --Requires 3 Stars
* [[LevelAte Sweet]] [[LevelInTheClouds Skies]] --Requires 7 Stars
* [[ClockTower The Clocktower]] --Requires 12 Stars
* [[ToyTime Vintage Voltage]] --Requires 21 Stars
* [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon Shadows in the Sky]] --Requires 32 Stars
At the end of Shadows in the Sky, the player gets to fight [[FinalBoss Stratosfear]] in a [[SequentialBoss three-phase battle]], followed by an escape sequence as [[CollapsingLair the platforms begin to fall]]. There also exists a secret that can only be uncovered [[OneHundredPercentCompletion when the player collects 51 Stars]].

A sequel has been made to the game and its story, ''[[VideoGame/AdventureForward2PointsOfConflict Adventure Forward 2: Points Of Conflict]]''.

The game can be found [[http://www.roblox.com/Adventure-Forward-Star-Savior-place?id=25622285 here]], but remains unplayable due to the original developer getting banned following allegations of sexually predatory behavior against minors during a game shutdown for maintenance before its completion and reactivation.
However, several years later in January 2021, a [[https://www.roblox.com/games/6153059438/Adventure-Forward-Star-Savior-Deluxe restored version]] under the name ''[[UpdatedRerelease Adventure Forward: Star Savior Deluxe]]'' has been created by [=SirRovers=], adding in a [[PostEndGameContent post-game]] continuing from where the player left off after Stratosfear's defeat and the original game's true ending.
----
!!This game provides examples of:

* BadFuture: Taking a certain path in the Clocktower transports you forward in time to witness Maytown after Stratosfear's victory.
* BigBad: Stratosfear.
* BribingYourWayToVictory: Stratosfear Mode, which [[PromotedToPlayable allows you to turn into Stratosfear]], and gain a good amount of game-breaking abilities, such as higher jump and run speed, spikes that instantly kill enemies and stop moving platforms, and allows you to summon red platforms beneath your feet. All this for 100 Robux.
* CallForward:
** When selecting Stratosfear mode, when the game asks if you want to buy the game, a muffled version of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYvg_n2rqjQ Kubbi / The Cairn]], AKA Celesteal's theme in Adventure Forward 2, could be heard in the background.
** In the True Ending for the Restored version, [[spoiler:[[https://youtu.be/1LXuoDFMS8o This song, Awake]], plays while the Star Savior goes down the corridor to the Red X... Much similar to when the second Star Savior goes down the corridor to confront Cyalm with the other Points, which also had the same song playing.]]
* CharlieAndTheChocolateParody: One area in Sweet Skies is "Dilly Donka's Chocolate Factory".
* DarkIsEvil: Stratosfear is RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver and waits at the end of the shadow-themed final level.
* DevelopersForesight: In Stratosfear Mode, various dialogues in the final level [[spoiler:and the Secret Ending, along with the PostGameEndContent]] will be changed to acknowledge the fact that [[spoiler:you have embraced the powers of your future self]].
* EarlyBirdCameo: After playing Adventure Forward 2, it becomes clear that [[spoiler:the [[MrExposition red X in the secret ending]] is Celesteal/Cyalm.]]
* {{Expy}}: Dilly Donka, a Willy Wonka spoof.
* GoldenEnding / OneHundredPercentCompletion: Collecting 51 stars (In the original game), and 79 stars (In the Deluxe edition), give you access to secret endings [[spoiler:that reveal more of the plot and about Stratosfear. However, [[EarnYourBadEnding they aren't exactly happy endings like you'd expect]].]]
** Collecting 51 stars (Which was the max amount in the original release) [[spoiler:[[BittersweetEnding after the Star Savior had defeated Stratosfear reveals to the Star Savior that Stratosfear is them from the future.]]]]
** Collecting all 79 stars (Now available in the restored/Deluxe version) gives an ending [[spoiler:[[DownerEnding that's HEAVILY implied to show the corruption of the Star Savior to Stratosfear.]]]]
* GreaterScopeVillain: [[spoiler:The mysterious entity you meet in the true ending, revealed in Adventure Forward 2 to be that game's BigBad, Celesteal, who in said game reveals that he was responsible for the Star Savior's transformation into Stratosfear.]]
* HailfirePeaks: Sweet Skies combines LevelInTheClouds with a candy-centric LevelAte theme.
* HubLevel: Maytown.
* HumanCannonball: The method of accessing Sweet Skies.
* PlotCoupon: The stars needed to unlock the gates around Maytown and thus access new levels, similar to the Power Stars in VideoGame/SuperMario64.
* PowerUp: The first game introduces 3 power ups:
** The Dash Pepper (clearly a homage to "SuperMarioGalaxy2") gives you super speed for a temporary amount of time, as well as allowing you to cross checkered platforms that otherwise will trip you up.
** The Forcefield makes to invincible to dangerous surfaces (but not all hazards) allowing you to reach difficult locations for the duration.
** The Battery allows you to conduct electricity from power stations and charge broken wires that will activate certain machines.
* PromotedToPlayable: Purchasing the Stratosfear Mode gamepass allows you to play as them. [[spoiler:Though technically, Stratosfear was always playable since the Star Savior and Stratosfear are one and the same, it's just that the Star Savior was able to tap in to their powers much earlier.]]
* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: Stratosfear's theme.
* PunnyName:
** Mayor Maynot = "May or may not"
** Miss Cara = "Mascara"
* SensoryAbuse: [[spoiler:The secret ending for the Deluxe edition after collecting 79 stars features this after you collect the Red X.]] The game gives a sensory warning to the player in relation to this plenty of time before the ending.
* StarPower: The [[PlotCoupon stars]].
* TimeTravel: Entering either of the doors partway up the Clocktower takes you 30 years forward or backward in time. Returning to the bottom of either version allows you to see a past or future version of Maytown. [[spoiler:Also, Stratosfear happens to be a future version of the player character.]]
* ToyTime: Vintage Voltage includes giant toys, video game consoles, and electrical appliances.
* UpdatedRerelease: ''Adventure Forward: Star Savior Deluxe'' which was released by a new group and creator a few years after the original creator's termination. It restored the game to be playable with Roblox's newest updates, and even includes brand new PostEndGameContent and a brand new secret ending that seems to connect the game to the events detailed in the sequel.
