->''OnceUponATime, there was a little fish named [[ADogNamedDog Fishbo]]. He lived in the ocean just of the coast of Northern California. He lived happily in the ocean, each day was another great day and he lived life to the fullest with all his fish buddies. One unfortunate day, [[EvilInc a massive business arrived on the shore]]. Almost as soon as construction was finished, massive amounts of chemical waste was poured into the ocean. The waste polluted the water, [[DoomedHometown destroying Fishbo's home]], and killing all of his fish buddies. Instead of meeting the same fate his friends did, he became mutated by the waste. He became a massive, muscular fish-headed human! He knew what he had to do; He was gonna fight Corp Inc. and [[RoaringRampageOfRevenge avenge all of his friends]] under the new name "[[TitleDrop Action Fish]]".''

''Action Fish'' is a [[FreewareGames freeware]] BulletHell PlatformGame for [[UsefulNotes/IBMPersonalComputer PC]]. Its development was for a national video game development contest in 2017, for which the theme was 1980's arcade game. The game is available [[http://gamejolt.com/games/actionfishbo/254981 here]].

It tells the story of a fish named Fishbo living in the ocean. His day to day activities were fine until a company named "Corp Inc" arrived. Apparently, right after construction, they dumped radioactive waste into the ocean, killing off Fishbo's friends and destroying his home. However, he alone mutated into a muscular, fish-headed human and went after Corp Inc and their boss "The CEO" to avenge those that he held dear and his hometown under the alias, Action Fish.

!!Tropes that apply to Action Fish (This is still under construction)
* AntiHero: Fishbo falls under [[UnscrupulousHero Type IV]]. He ''is'' fighting a CorruptCorporateExecutive, but it isn't for any noble means, rather for {{revenge}}.
* BigBad: The CEO of Corp Inc., for dumping chemical waste into the ocean and setting the plot in motion.
* BishonenLine: Rare heroic example and parodied. Fishbo, unlike his brethren, was mutated into a muscular, fish-headed man instead of killed off.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: The CEO of Corp Inc. [[GenericDoomsdayVillain There isn't much motive behind what he does]], but dumping chemical waste into the ocean ''definitely'' isn't morally sound.
* CutsceneBoss: [[spoiler:The CEO in the second level. Subverted in that he doesn't die, but pulls a ScrewThisImOuttaHere Subverted even further when you're able to fight him in the game proper on the last level.]]
* ADogNamedDog: Fishbo[=/=]Action Fish.
* DoomedHometown: The coast of Northern California, Fishbo's home, was destroyed by the chemical waste that was pumped into the ocean.
* EvilInc: Corp Inc. It isn't said what they do specifically, but a corporation that has employees with guns that are perfectly willing to shoot Action Fish can't be ''entirely'' legitimate.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: The CEO doesn't have much of a reason or motive behind what he does. It's not even stated that {{Greed}} is his motive, it's almost as if [[EvilInc Corp Inc.]] poured chemical waste into the ocean ForTheEvulz, though it could also be a case of HumansAreCthulhu.
* LastOfHisKind: Downplayed. The CEO certainly didn't kill all the fish in the world, but he ''did'' kill a lot of them. Many of which happen to be Fishbo's friends and family.
* NintendoHard: The main complaint[=/=]praise about the game. People have compared it to the likes of IWBTG.
* NuclearMutant: Played with. The protagonist, Fishbo, turns into Action Fish due to the radioactive waste poured into the ocean, however, his friends and family perish when the radioactive waste gets dumped into the ocean. Likewise, you can gain bonus points by collecting radioactive waste buckets.
* OnceUponATime: How the opening narrative starts off.
