-> ''This game contains a portion of I wanna fan games that Kamilia has defeated. We only recommend players who are confident about their skills to play the game because this game is higher level of difficulty than the last one. But defeating the game is not impossible so please do your best!''
-->-- Readme for I Wanna Kill the Kamilia 3 [[note]] [[NintendoHard She's not kidding.]] [[/note]]

''I Wanna Kill the Kamilia'' is a trilogy of ''VideoGame/IWannaBeTheGuy'' fangames in which your goal is to, well, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin kill the Kamilia.]] The games come with a unique twist, however:

The levels are slightly modified versions of ''other fangames''.

The games are known for being ''much'' harder than ''I Wanna be the Guy'' and even the original fangames themselves, ''especially'' the third one. Oh, and [[NoFairCheating it has a system to prevent the use of save-state technology.]]

While the games were made by mostly Japanese developers, ''2'' and ''3'' are available in English.

You can get the third game [[http://iwannacommunity.com/forum/index.php?topic=699.0 here]].

''Warning: Spoilers for the original fangames will be unmarked!''
----
!! This game provides examples of:
* BackFromTheDead: In ''2'', you fight the original Guy as the boss of Stage 2 and send him crashing through the window of his arena, apparently to his demise. In the third stage of ''3'', it's revealed that he survived the fall and comes back for revenge, now as a giant.
* BonusStageCollectables: There are many items hidden in optional screens of the game.
* BrutalBonusLevel: There are plenty of secret areas in the game, and a lot of thems are harder than the main game.
* BulletHell:
** Most of the bosses throw around tons of bullets to dodge, but the ''many'' Vocaloid segments take this up to eleven.
** The bosses in ''3'' take this up to ''twelve.''
* CreatorCameo:
** [[spoiler: Kamilia's the FinalBoss in all three games.]]
** Influka, one of the games' co-developers [[spoiler: is the third boss in ''2''. As well as the DiscOneFinalBoss of ''3''.]]
* DarkerAndEdgier:
** Than the original ''I Wanna be the Guy'', and most of the fangames. Instead of happy ([[TheManyDeathsOfYou albeit]] [[LudicrousGibs bloody]]) images of Delicious Fruit laden trees and video game references all over the place, most of the game is spent in closed off, spike filled rooms of similar sizes. Thankfully, the music is pretty upbeat, and the [[BossBattle bosses]] avert this for the most part.
** [[spoiler: Kamilia herself]] invokes this between the three games. In the first game, they were simply a PaletteSwap of The Kid with crazy powers. In ''2'', they gain (probably demonic) powers and [[spoiler: a NightmareFuel inducing OneWingedAngel form after her health is depleted.]] In ''3'', they turn into a gothic, demonic spellcaster of nightmarish proportions, and a purple, paintbrush-like SlasherSmile after the first phase. Oh, and [[spoiler: the OneWingedAngel form from the last game returns with a vengeance.]] Hope you've been practicing your ''Ikaruga''!
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Compare the first game with the third game.
** The bosses having weird, out of place music.
** Barely any sound effects.
** Odd, [[BuffySpeak patchworkey]] backgrounds.
** ''Very'' poor quality graphics and music looping.
* FreeFallFight: The second phase of the fight against [[spoiler: Kamilia]] in ''1'' has you continue fighting while you both fall back down to Earth.
* GottaCatchEmAll:
** There are achievements in ''3''. Most of them you get just by playing through the game. [[NintendoHard Not that that's saying much.]]
** There are also 50 crystals you can grab in ''3''. Good luck getting them all, as none of them appear until you've jumped into some specific part of some specific screen. Some crystals may be in even harder to reach areas!
** Oh, and there are items found in extra optional screens that give you certain abilities.
* HoldTheLine:
** The Vocaloid segments in ''2'' and ''especially'' in ''3''.
** Geezer from ''2'' [[spoiler: as well as his appearance during Influka's fight in ''3'']] starts a countdown after you reach the second phase, forcing you to dodge increasingly harder attacks [[WhyWontYouDie while constantly telling you to die.]]
** [[spoiler: Influka]] in ''3''.
* LudicrousGibs: Subverted in ''3''. They're replaced with glowing red {{Danmaku}}, but you can switch the death screen to what it was in ''2'' or even [[RecursiveAdaptation to what it was in]] ''VideoGame/IWannaBeTheGuy!''
* MegamixGame: The whole premise behind the game is that it's an amalgamation of different ''VideoGame/IWannaBeTheGuy'' fangames.
* MultiStageBattle: The fight against [[spoiler:Influka]] in ''3'' also invokes this by warping you to [[spoiler: modified versions of the various boss arenas from the previous game]], before being warped to their room.
* NintendoHard: Not so much in the first game; it was more a case of HardLevelsEasyBosses, but ''2'' [[note]] which was essentially a remake of the first game [[/note]] is significantly more difficult, partly due to the massively retooled graphics and mechanics. And ''3?'' Well, just look at the image above! You know the game's hard when the world record {{Speedrun}} clocks in at around ''three and a half hours.'' [[note]] For a point of reference, the world record for ''VideoGame/IWannaBeTheBoshy'' is about 32 minutes. [[/note]] And if that wasn't enough to faze you, ''3'''s ''first boss'' is [[spoiler: ''[[Franchise/TouhouProject Flandre Scarlet]]''. Along with a few guest attackers, a Vocaloid segment, [[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and some mushrooms.]]]]
* SimonSaysMinigame: An area of the third game plays like one, and in true Kamilia fashion it's much harder than the standard. Right off the bat, you have to jump forward to avoid getting hit by the spikes the conveyor is running you towards, all while clicking on a vinyl record with eight differently-colored buttons, each of which produces a unique tone when they light up. After repeating a few melodies, each of which add another note onto the last, the buttons stop lighting up and you have to go entirely by tone. And then the record starts turning...
* TrialAndErrorGameplay:
** All games in the trilogy [[SarcasmMode occasionally]] have spikes that will rearrange themselves or shoot out at you very quickly with no warning once you pass a certain point.
** "Tribute" in ''2'' is a ghost house with loads of invisible teleporters you have to go through to reach the exit. Making the wrong move tends to teleport you above an inescapable pit of spikes.
** "Skyclad" in ''2'' has [[spoiler:a hidden passageway in the first drop]], which is the only way to advance.
** "Phantom" (팬텀) in ''1'' has a spike that will suddenly chase you back before you reach the exit.
