Context Trivia / Pyrocynical

Go To

* ColbertBump: Any video where Pyrocynical covers a game or show tends to have this effect, with his videos on ''WebVideo/{{Petscop}}'', ''VideoGame/CryOfFear'', ''Series/{{Utopia}}'' and ''VideoGame/CrueltySquad'' being the best examples.
* {{Corpsing}}:
** In "THE WORST CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE" where he talks about a (supposedly) Indian reaction channel called 'Review Movie World' [[SoBadItsGood that is so terrible]] that Pyro laughs throughout the whole video. But the part that ''really'' sets him off is when RMW pretends to laugh, then ''immediately pulls a straight face and reaches to turn off the camera.'' ''' This is all in front of a green screen.'''
--->'''Pyro:''' [explodes with laughter] It's the fact that he's faking to be happy so bad and then he thinks the camera's off he just pulls a completely deadpan face.
** In "Donald Trump aftermath" where he discusses the aftermath of the 2016 US Election, one of his fellow [=YouTube=] friends Bamanboi tweets about the election. A twitter user named "Marjun Gutierrez" tweets out "You don't won, expect the unexpected." Pyro couldn't read it without laughing, eventually having tears in his eyes.
* CreatorBacklash: Tends to do stuff that he'll regret down the line.
** His MLG videos like "MLG Teletubbies" and "Shrek has swag," as well as the video "CAR SEX." He tends to treat his older videos in general as this, due to how he uploads new videos almost daily and wants to be seen as growing as a channel, but those are some of the big ones - especially given that "MLG Teletubbies" was ''the most viewed video on his channel'' until recently when "Fat Cry 3" overtook it. He often jokes that when he dies, he'll be remembered most for "MLG Teletubbies", not his various commentary videos or his later personal insightful looks into various subjects.
** His [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VglCnmYMaSc 250,000 Subscribers milestone video]]. It was a rare moment where [[SincerityMode he tried to be genuinely sincere and thankful to his audience for getting him to such an important milestone]], but since [[MemeticMutation it quickly became a copypasta and snowclone that Pyro's entire fanbase used to relentlessly bully him]], he now only appreciates it ironically as one of his channel's {{Running Gag}}s.
** "CRAZIEST WOMAN EVER EATS SAND" also became one after it began being spammed for Pyrocynical's recommendations over his new content.
** His (admittedly minor) contribution to ''VideoGame/HuntDownTheFreeman''. He's dedicated a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7Se1iwsV48 full video]] on it.
** "[[VideoGame/{{Fortnite}} FORTNITE]] BIZARRE ADVENTURE", given Niall's stance on the game and its community, as well as it being a self-admitted blatant attempt to [[FollowtheLeader cash in on the game's popularity]].
** Pyro is fully aware of the "Pyrocynical [[NWordPrivileges saying the n-word]]" compilations that make their rounds on [=YouTube=] every now and then, but he's also made it clear that he fully disowns the "[[InternetJerk edgy terminally online white kid]]" behavior he exhibits in said clips, which are almost universally from the 2016-17 era of his channel when such edgy humor was all the rage on [=YouTube=]. However, he also acknowledges that trying to bury said compilations (I.E. by sending them copyright strikes or some such method) would [[StreisandEffect only lead to them drumming up more controversy since it would look like he's suppressing criticism of himself]], so he's content with leaving them up.
* MemeAcknowledgement: In his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvw3yawK7ww review]] of the first four episodes of ''WesternAnimation/HazbinHotel'', Pyro points out the meme where people jokingly call the character Vox "Pyrocynical" or "Voxrocynical" because of the similarities of his avatar and Vox both having a [[NonHumanHead TV for a head]].
* ScheduleSlip: His video on ''VideoGame/CrueltySquad'' took a legendary ''eight months'' to come out, with him claiming that it was just around the corner the whole time. This was in part due to him always adding more to it because since so many other [=YouTubers=] had covered it he wanted it to be an absolutely comprehensive review, and partially because he lost a lot of the edited footage in a hard drive failure. Regardless, during this time period no main channel uploads occurred, leading to the rise of the "slop" meme in his community because the only videos he appeared to be making were low-effort [=PyroLIVE=] videos.
* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Something he discusses quite a bit in his videos, and unfortunately became a victim of this trope due to his famous intro and outro song ''"Beach walk"'' by the ''Whitewoods''. Being hit with copyright strikes and the like, forcing him to stop using the songs in his videos.
** Happened again with his video discussing ''[[VideoGame/EntropyZero Entropy Zero]]'' due to the use of the song ''"The Man Who Sold The World''" by ''[[Music/MidgeUre Midge Ure]]''. Even though agreements were made, the video was copyright claimed by Sony regardless, forcing Pyro to mute the section with the song three minutes in the video. The standalone video of that section by [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oJCSNPEBfM Fortress Films]] seems to be intact.
