1	* TheCastShowOff: Maryse is bilingual and would frequently speak French on TV. English is actually her second language, and she had to learn it in developmental.
2	* ContractualPurity: A marginal example. She was called up to TV just before WWE switched to PG, and any risque content was filtered out. She was still {{Stripperiffic}} and provided Fanservice - notably her FrenchMaidOutfit at Halloween and rather shamelessly suggestive pin attempts. But besides that, her past history as a Playboy playmate was never referenced at all - and such a thing would have been mentioned repeatedly in the pre-PG days.
3	* CreatorBacklash: A couple of years after leaving WWE, she expressed dissatisfaction with the Divas getting such little airtime on TV.
4	--> "It’s hard to make a crowd relate to you when you can’t talk on the microphone, you have only a minute in the ring and you have 10 divas in the ring at the same time so you can’t build a character and you can’t make people relate. 10	** Was a {{Face}} in OVW but asked to be a heel when she was called up to TV. She never played a face on TV at all.
11	** A champion vs champion match was rumoured for ''[=WrestleMania=] 25'', putting her against the Women's Champion {{Wrestling/Melina}}. After two weeks of build up it was changed to a 25-Diva battle royal - and the feud was blown off with a Lumberjill match on Raw.
12	** Another feud was planned between her and Melina when she returned from injury. It was dropped after Melina herself got injured, and Maryse had become a valet by the time she returned.
