!Trivia Tropes:
* ActingForTwo:
** Creator/AlexBrightman voices both Sir Pentious and Adam.
** Creator/AmirTalai voices both Alastor and Tom Trench.
** Blake Roman voices Angel Dust and the Egg Boiz.
** Creator/KimikoGlenn voices Niffty and Susan.
** Most of the actors in the Japanese dub of the pilot and the proper series, most prominently:
*** Niffty and Cherri Bomb are both voiced by MALTA.
*** Sir Pentious and Travis are both voiced by Chihaya Hanai.
*** In the TV series, Sir Pentious and Adam are both voiced by Creator/YojiUeda, just like their original voice actor Alex Brightman.
*** Also in the TV series, Angel Dust and the Egg Boiz are both voiced by Jun'ya Hirano, as they are with Blake Roman in the original.
* AllStarCast: The cast includes several big names in Platform/{{Broadway|AndTheWestEnd}} (and some from film and television) such as Creator/ErikaHenningsen as Charlie, Creator/StephanieBeatriz as Vaggie, Blake Roman as Angel Dust, Creator/AmirTalai as Alastor, Creator/KeithDavid as Husk, Creator/KimikoGlenn as Niffty, Creator/AlexBrightman as Sir Pentious and Adam, Creator/ChristianBorle as Vox, Joel Perez as Valentino, and Lilli Cooper as Velvette.
* ApprovalOfGod:
** A fan made an [[https://youtu.be/Axnn1A-kFIQ anime opening]] for the show. Vivienne Medrano herself [[https://youtu.be/Axnn1A-kFIQ&lc=UgzPwIAsLSlPJ6HG3Q94AaABAg gave it]] her seal of approval.
** Creator/MichaelKovach, Creator/MickLauer, and Creator/EdwardBosco [[https://www.instagram.com/itsblakeroman/reel/CyZcpbhOSwb/?hl=en congratulated]] [[https://x.com/RicepirateMick/status/1725019897720406381 their]] [[https://x.com/EdBoscoVA/status/1745885897214886194 replacements]] Blake Roman, Creator/KeithDavid, and Creator/AmirTalai, respectively.
* AscendedFanon: A ''lot'' of fan work spawned from the fandom in the four years between the pilot and the series premiere, and the show proper references some of them:
** "Music/{{Addict}}" started off as a [[FanMusic fan-song]] by Silva Hound that just so happened to have Angel Dust's voice actor Creator/MichaelKovach singing it. Viv then animated a MusicVideo for it and its popularity skyrocketed.
** In "[[Recap/HazbinHotelS1E2RadioKilledTheVideoStar Radio Killed the Video Star]]", Vox storming into his command center at the onset of "Stayed Gone" references the opening of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jad2XXQQn5A this]] fanmade Vox music video short by Jinz Neolight.
** The fandom-wide portrayal of Husk purring like a cat becomes canonized in the show's BDSM club scene in "[[Recap/HazbinHotelS1E3ScrambledEggs Scrambled Eggs]]".
** Lucifer's canon reaction to being introduced to Vaggie and learning of Charlie's sexuality directly references [[https://twitter.com/astrallyyyy/status/1322383247783923715 this]] fan comic by @astrallyyyy, being a more flustered version of his reaction there with the same "Me too" line.
** Sir Pentious having a crush on Cherri Bomb is a nod to the somewhat common ship between the two. [[spoiler:She even reciprocates the feeling in the Season 1 finale.]]
** Despite Vaggie being stated by WordOfGod to be a sinner, with a life on Earth, [[spoiler:it was still speculated that she either was an angel or was otherwise cast out of Heaven. Adam later reveals that she ''is'' in fact, an angel and a former exorcist left to die in Hell.]]
* CelebrityVoiceActor:
** In the Latin American Spanish dub, Charlie is voiced by Chilean Youtuber Karla "[=RinRin=]" Carrizo.
** In the Japanese dub, Husk is voiced by theater actor Takeshi Hirabayashi.
* ContentLeak:
** About a week before the show premiered, the first two episodes got leaked online and were spread on several video sharing platforms such as Platform/YouTube and Platform/TikTok.
** In April 2024, a portion of the script for a Season 2 episode was leaked by Emily's voice actress, Shoba Narayan, on her Instagram. She immediately deleted the post, but by that point it had already spread online.
* CreatorsFavorite: In a 2017 livestream, Vivienne Medrano [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQgsStOr84U&t=1800s states]] that Angel Dust and Alastor are her two favorite characters. In the 2024 promotional video "Clocktower Countdown to Premiere", [[https://youtu.be/y2x8Rkzw3RI?si=yGFChIzSx0ksYhPI&t=68 one of the "Hella Fun Facts"]] states that Alastor and Lucifer are her favorites.
* CrossDressingVoices: Katie Killjoy is voiced by WebVideo/BrandonRogers. But this was averted in the pilot where she was voiced by Creator/FayeMata.
* DearNegativeReader: Like with ''Helluva Boss'', Vivienne Medrano has a tendency to respond to criticism when it gains traction. Whether it's for better or worse is up for debate:
** After the trailer was released, in response to criticism about the animation being downgraded from the pilot and/or Helluva Boss, Vivienne would [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1736495341044920815 defend the show.]] She disagreed with the criticism in general, denied that the show used rigs, and stated that they did what they could with limited time, budget, and an outsourced studio.
** When a short, out-of-context clip of Angel being raped during the ''Poison'' music number leaked a week before the premiere and its storyboard artist, Raphielle II, was accused of having a rape fetish, along with allegations of elements from his fan works being put into the show, there was backlash with alleged claims that the show was fetishizing a serious subject matter, especially among SA survivors. Vivienne [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1746280345455174044 made]] [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1746278403966435654 a]] [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1746263174595432727 series]] [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1746286156713779454 of]] tweets defending the artist, pointing out that the show was made by a team, and that the episode in question wasn't officially released yet. It got bad enough that the backlash extended to Threads, [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2DW6nvPfpi?hl=en where]] [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2EZSyAO7fi?hl=en she]] [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2GwU8lLMu_?hl=en continued]] [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2F1o5uvKN6?hl=en to]] [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2F6D2APW5c?hl=en defend]] [[https://www.threads.net/@vivziebizzie/post/C2GY-zpvwiV?hl=en herself]] and the artist. She [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1746345427010748688 said]] she would become less active on Twitter as a result.
* DirectedByCastMember:
** In the Thai dub, Manassavin Malevong is both the ADR director and Angel Dust's voice actor.
** In the Italian dub, Creator/OresteBaldini is both the dub director and the voice of Vox.
* DuelingDubs: The full series received a second, Canadian French dub[[note]]specifically, Québecois, using working-class accents similar to the French-Canadian dubs of ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'' and ''WesternAnimation/RickAndMorty'', as well as lots of GratuitousEnglish[[/note]] on top of the European French one carried over from the pilot, along with the usual Latin American and European Spanish dubs (the pilot hadn't officially been dubbed into Spanish).
* FakeBrit: American Broadway actress Lilli Cooper gives Velvette a heavy Cockney accent.
* FakeNationality: An odd variation of this happens in the Latin American Spanish dub. The show was dubbed in Chile, but for some reason all characters (with sole odd exception of Husk) speak with notable Mexican accents, up to including ''slang'' from that country. For an equivalent for English-speaking viewers, that would be similar if all the characters were voiced with actors from Scotland doing American accents.[[note]]The likely reason for this is that Chilean Spanish is considered one of the hardest dialects of the language to understand due to various quirks, as well as the speed of which it is often spoken.[[/note]]
* GodNeverSaidThat: Due to most of the information coming from WordOfGod instead of the actual series (since there wasn't much to go off of outside of a pilot episode for over four years), it was difficult to distinguish between {{fanon}} and actual comments from Vivienne Medrano. For instance, Vivienne said in a livestream that Alastor dislikes dogs due to them being involved in his death, which fans interpreted as "Alastor was mauled to death by dogs" despite that not being what Medrano said.
* HeAlsoDid:
** Creator/VivienneMedrano was previously known for her webcomic ''Webcomic/{{Zoophobia}}'' as well as an [[https://youtu.be/-PKNuZovuSw animated music video]] of Music/{{Kesha}}'s song "Die Young" featuring characters from said comic.
** Creator/{{Gooseworx}}, co-composer of the pilot and series' scores, previously made several well-known remixes of ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' songs, original songs for ''Zoophobia'', and would later release her own animated short ''WebAnimation/LittleRunmo'' before creating the explosively well-known ''WebAnimation/TheAmazingDigitalCircus''.
** Daria Cohen, one of the animators for ''Hazbin Hotel'' who's credited in particular for animating the scene in which Vaggie relates Alastor's backstory to Angel Dust, also made ''WebAnimation/TheVampair''.
* IronyAsTheyAreCast:
** Angel Dust is gay and has [[AllGaysArePromiscuous a very prominent sexual personality]], whereas his pilot voice actor, Creator/MichaelKovach, is asexual.
** Katie Killjoy is a [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain homophobic]] {{Jerkass}} voiced by the openly gay WebVideo/BrandonRogers.
** The media overlord Vox is played by Christian Borle, who is easily the most reserved of the cast.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate:
** Being a show which takes place in Hell, it makes sense that the pilot's release date on [=YouTube=] would be October 28, 2019, just three days before [[UsefulNotes/AllHallowsEve Halloween]]. It also happens to be Medrano's birthday.
** "Poison (Official Remix)" dropped on April 1, 2024. April 1 is Angel Dust's birthday.
* MemeRoleReprise: For years after the pilot's release, Creator/MichaelKovach, Creator/EdwardBosco and Stamper (the pilot voice actors for Angel Dust, Alastor and Sir Pentious, respectively) frequently read out memes and other silly phrases [[RuleOfFunny their characters would never say]] in various locales of the internet, most prominently the ''Podcast/{{Hunicast}}''.
-->'''Kovach (as Angel Dust):''' Hey Alastor, your mom gay!
* MissingTrailerScene:
** In the [[https://youtu.be/CeOWxqYp80A Official Trailer]], there's a scene taking place in Pentagram City where some Exorcists are shown after one pulls a spear out of an exterminated demon. In the pilot itself, no such scene happens and the Exorcists are only seen in the stylized first part of the opening song.
** There's a brief shot in the Official Trailer wherein the hotel blinks, suggesting it may be alive. This doesn't happen anywhere in the pilot when the hotel is seen in full.
** Certain scenes and backgrounds shown in the Official Trailer are different in the pilot. Scenes such as Angel and Vaggie entering the hotel and the background used for Husk's bar are some examples.
* NoDubForYou: For some reason, the show doesn't have a Korean dub; only a sub track is available there. This is quite odd, as other Asian countries, like Japan, India, Thailand, and even Iran, of all countries, did had local dubbed versions.
* NonSingingVoice:
** Charlie's pilot VA is Creator/JillHarris, whereas her singing voice is done by Creator/ElsieLovelock.
** In the pilot, Alastor has singer Gabriel C. Brown (better known as Music/BlackGryph0n) providing his singing voice, while his speaking voice is done by Edward Bosco.
** In the "Music/{{Addict}}" music video, Cherri's singing voice is provided by Chi-Chi instead of her pilot VA, Creator/KrystalLaPorte.
** Most of the foreign dubs have different actors for the singing voices, with the known exception of the Japanese one, possibly since Japanese voice actors are mostly required to know how to sing as well to act.
** The Italian dub mostly averts this, with the only exception being Carmilla, who is voiced by Creator/AntonellaBaldini when speaking and Flavia Astolfi for the singing.
* JustForFun/OneOfUs: [[Creator/KrystinaAlabado Krystina Alabado]] the voice of Cherri Bomb in the show [[https://twitter.com/KrystinaAlabado/status/1753466107355435295 is a supporter]] of the Cherri Bomb/Sir Pentious ship and a big fan of [[https://twitter.com/KrystinaAlabado/status/1755112814879072391 Sir Pentious in general]]
* TheOtherDarrin: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMQWoFZHvxs The trailer]] shown at New York Comic Con revealed that ''the entire cast from the pilot'' has been replaced for the final series. While the reason for the recasting was speculated to be due to union issues, both Angel Dust and Alastor's pilot [=VA=]s have gone on the record that it was because Vivienne wanted a Broadway cast for the main show. Here is the current lineup:
** Charlie: Creator/JillHarris and Creator/ElsieLovelock (singing) → Creator/ErikaHenningsen
** Vaggie: Creator/MonicaFranco → Creator/StephanieBeatriz
** Angel Dust: Creator/MichaelKovach → Blake Roman
** Alastor: Creator/EdwardBosco and [[Music/BlackGryph0n Gabriel C. Brown]] (singing) → Creator/AmirTalai
** Husk: Creator/MickLauer → Creator/KeithDavid
** Niffty: Creator/MichelleMarie → Creator/KimikoGlenn
** Sir Pentious: William Andrew Stamper → Creator/AlexBrightman
** Cherri Bomb: Creator/KrystalLaPorte → Creator/KrystinaAlabado
** Katie Killjoy: Creator/FayeMata → WebVideo/BrandonRogers
** Tom Trench: Joshua Tomar → Creator/AmirTalai
** The Egg Bois: [[Creator/{{Ukinojoe}} Jonathan Gran]] → Blake Roman
** The same goes for the Latin American Spanish dub, with the additional note that the dub was done in Chile, rather than in Mexico, unlike the pilot.
** Ditto in the Japanese dub, with the sole difference that, unlike the pilot, which used amateur voice actors, the one from the proper show use professional ones instead.
* PermanentPlaceholder: The name of the character Lute is supposed to be short for "lieutenant" and was supposed to just be a placeholder name, but the name grew on Vivienne Medrano, so she kept Lute as the character's name.
* PlayingAgainstType: In the Japanese dub, the main forte of Creator/EijiHanawa (Lucifer) is mostly voicing [[TheStoic stoic]], middle-aged men, like [[Anime/DragonBallSuper Jiren]], [[Series/GameOfThrones Jon Snow]], [[Series/CobraKai Johnny Lawrence]], [[Anime/Cyborg009CallOfJustice Takeru Igarashi]], among others. Voicing a [[LargeHam hammy]] demon is pretty outside of his normal modus operandi.
* ProductionPosse:
** The Latin American Spanish dub of the pilot episode was done by Geecko Productions, which is the same studio that did the Latin Spanish dub of ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'', and it also shares some of its voice actors and production staff, like Gerardo Alonso (Alastor), who dubbed Moxxie, and Karla Tovar, who did random voices in the show, and previously voiced Millie in ''Helluva Boss''.
** Creator/AlexBrightman (Sir Pentious and Adam), WebVideo/BrandonRogers (Katie Killjoy) and Creator/JamesMonroeIglehart (Zestial) also plays Fizzarolli, Blitzo, Vortex and Asmodeus on Creator/VivienneMedrano's other Franchise/{{Hellaverse}} series, ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss''.
* PromotedFanboy: The Brazilian Portuguese voice of Angel Dust, Luís Pimenta, originally provided his voice in an unofficial fandub of the pilot. This is his first time officially voicing the character.
* QueerCharacterQueerActor:
** Queer actress Creator/JillHarris voices the bisexual demon princess Charlie in the pilot. Likewise, her pilot singing voice, Creator/ElsieLovelock, is pansexual.
** Asexual actor Creator/MichaelKovach voices the gay porn star Angel Dust in the pilot and "Music/{{Addict}}" music video.
*** Angel Dust's European French voice, MyëVe, is a drag queen, just like Angel, and a trans woman.
** Openly bisexual actress Creator/StephanieBeatriz voices Charlie's girlfriend Vaggie.
** Openly gay actor Joel Perez voices Valentino, the [[DepravedBisexual depraved pansexual]] Overlord.
* RealLifeRelative: In the European Spanish dub, David Jenner voices Alastor, while his father Creator/MiguelAngelJenner voices Zestial.
* ReferencedBy: In the Joey Valence & Brae song "RN", there is the lyric "Now you a has-been, you be out of order". The creators confirmed on their Platform/TikTok that it was a reference to Hazbin Hotel.
* RenewedBeforePremiere: A second season had already been greenlit before the show aired in 2024.
* RoleReprise:
** Don Darryl Rivera, being something of a lucky charm for Vivziepop's productions, voiced Travis in the pilot and, though not the only VA from the pilot to return in some capacity [[note]]Creator/MickLauer, the original Husk, has a cameo as the trenchcoat-flashing slug demon in the first episode, while Creator/JamesMonroeIglehart, who had a lengthy one-line cameo in the pilot, plays Zestial[[/note]] is the only one so far to reprise a role, providing Travis's single line in the fourth episode.
** Unlike most other dubs, the European French dub uses a decent percentage of the AmateurCast from the pilot, the real series' French cast featuring reprisals from Maëva Trioux (Angel Dust), Mathilde Carmes (Niffty), Arno Capostagno (Sir Pentious), Gabriel Bonnaud (Egg Boiz), and Akim Belkheir (Tom Trench), plus a RemakeCameo from Lucy Studer (pilot Vaggie, now playing Katie Killjoy). The Canadian French dub, as is typical, uses a brand-new cast.
** In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Luís Pimenta reprises his role as Angel Dust, having first voiced him in a fandub of the pilot.
* RomanceOnTheSet: Ashley Nichols (lead clean-up artist) and Michael Kovach (the voice of Angel Dust) first met while working on the show together. They are currently in a relationship, and co-hosts of the Podcast/HuniCast.
* ScheduleSlip: Season 1 was originally set to premiere in Summer 2023. But due to the [[UsefulNotes/TVStrikes SAG-AFTRA strike]], it was pushed back to January 2024.
* SleeperHit: The [[Recap/HazbinHotelS1E0ThatsEntertainment pilot]] and "Music/{{Addict}}" alone brought ''Hazbin Hotel'' a fanbase on par with shows that had multiple seasons, despite being four years before the series proper was released. The "Addict" music video alone was able to get over 165 million views in over four years after being released, while the pilot managed to reach 100 million views five years after being released, with the actual show helping it reach that number.
* SerendipityWritesThePlot: Angel Dust's third set of arms can be [[https://twitter.com/HazbinHotel/status/1005986518039576576 retracted]] so that he appears to only have two sets of arms simply because it's easier to animate.
* SpoiledByTheMerchandise: Before the series aired its first season, trading cards were made for the series that spoiled the introduction of characters like Sera and Emily, as well as the fact that [[spoiler:The Hazbin Hotel would be destroyed and later rebuilt as a grander version of itself.]]
* StaffCreatedFanWork: Upon learning they were being replaced for the full series, several of the pilot's voice actors[[labelnote:Specifically]][[Music/BlackGryph0n Gabriel Brown]] (Alastor's singing voice), Creator/MichaelKovach (Angel Dust), Creator/ElsieLovelock (Charlie's singing voice), Creator/KrystalLaPorte (Cherri Bomb), and Creator/MichelleMarie (Niffty)[[/labelnote]] got together to create a song reprising their roles one last time. Intended to [[PassingTheTorch symbolically pass the torch]] to the new cast, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCTbmFrB4nA "THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT"]] was only released to the public after the first season premiered in early 2024.
* ThoseTwoActors:
** Daphne Rubin-Vega (Carmilla) and Creator/StephanieBeatriz (Vaggie) previously featured as [[AdaptationalSexuality lesbian couple]] Daniela and Carla in the musical film ''Film/InTheHeights'', so ''Hazbin'' is not the first production where they have sung together.
** In the Japanese dub, Creator/RisaShimizu (Charlie), Creator/EijiHanawa (Lucifer) and Creator/YojiUeda (Sir Pentious and Adam) previously worked together in the dub of ''Series/GameOfThrones'' as Daenarys Targaryen (plus Rickon Stark), Jon Snow and Petyr Baelish respectively.
* ThrowItIn:
** Charlie and Vaggie were originally not a couple, but many of the storyboard artists interpreted them as such when reading the script. Medrano rolled with it because she liked how the script presented a same-sex relationship in a completely unassuming way; by the time the pilot episode was released, the two of them were made into a couple, which carried over into the show proper.
** Tom Trench's screaming "Why won't anyone help me?!" was ad-libbing by his voice actor, and added to the final script.
** In "[[Recap/HazbinHotelS1E3ScrambledEggs Scrambled Eggs]]", after Vaggie throws Sir Pentious and Angel into the battlefield and you can hear them screaming in the background, everything they're screaming is ad-libbed by their voice actors, including Angel's line "I blame you for this, you crazy bitch!".
* UncreditedRole: Despite having a speaking role, Zeezi's voice actor isn't credited.
* UnspecifiedRoleCredit: Only the main cast and guest stars are named in the end credits, leaving the voices of certain characters like the Egg Bois and Tom Trench unknown until [[Music/TheLivingTombstone Sam Haft]] revealed them on his Twitter.
* VoicedDifferentlyInTheDub:
** It's less a change to the voice itself and more one to the post-production processing of said voice, but in the original English track, Alastor's voice is given [[RadioVoice audible crackling]] akin to old American radios from the 1920s and 30s, befitting for somebody known as [[RedBaron the Radio Demon]] who died in 1933. The Japanese dub drops this vocal effect for the character, [[MadeInCountryX as Japanese radios from that time were less likely to have that level of audio distortion due to being built to different standards]], meaning the joke wouldn't have translated quite as well.
** In the German dub, rather than having his singing voice be a tenor that matches his speaking voice, Angel Dust has a [[NonSingingVoice separate singing voice]] which is not only much deeper than his normal voice but is also notably [[CrossDressingVoices done by a woman]].
* WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings: The [[https://reddit.com/r/HelluvaBoss/comments/kz9fd0/the_via_situation/ noted reasoning]] behind the closure of various {{Character Blog}}s is due to said blogs being flooded with various NSFW and/or Rule34 fanart through [=DMs=].
* WordOfDante: The infamous "Journey to the Light" wiki, dedicated to a nonexistent fan fiction, is responsible for several concepts being treated as fact within the fandom due to the wiki often showing up on search engines. The most prominent of these is the idea of Vox having a body pillow of Alastor, which many fans treat as canon.
* WordOfGay:
** Vivienne has confirmed that Alastor is asexual.
** Faustisse has confirmed that Husk is pansexual.
** HAZBIN HOTEL COMIC have confirmed that Valentino is pansexual.
** Vivziepop stated that Sir Pentious is bisexual in the stream.
** Cherri Bomb is confirmed to be bisexual in a deleted tweet.
** Angel Dust's client Travis is confirmed to be bisexual.
** One of the directors confirmed that Vox is bisexual in [[https://twitter.com/hat_teeth/status/1664243809369362432?s=46 a tweet]].
* WordOfGod: Many if not all, of the livestreams hosted provide much background and contextual information on the setting and characters courtesy of Vivienne along with the other staff members. Missing them might lead to ContinuityLockout.
** Like the show's creator Vivienne, Vaggie's ethnicity is Salvadoran as first revealed in [[https://youtu.be/88eEqclaDxU&t=7089s a stream]] and reconfirmed in [[https://twitter.com/VivziePop/status/1108147464807174144 a tweet]].
** According to [[https://youtu.be/JQTHw79skuE&t=2962 a livestream]], Alastor hates dogs because they played a role in his death. Back when he was an actual demonic deer (as opposed to a sinner that became a deer demon upon descending into hell), he was actually afraid of dogs. With the change, Viv declared he wasn't afraid of dogs ''anymore'' and merely disliked them.
** According to the [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=6360s Pilot cast Live Panel]], Heaven is going to have a more ethereal aesthetic with the more highly ranked angels having something of an alien motif as to reference to how strange and monstrous angels are described in the Bible. She also mentions that heaven (and by that extension hell) will be [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=183s represented by different mythologies]] instead of only the Christian religion. She doesn't want her characters to be directly connected to the Bible, with some exceptions like Lilith and Lucifer.
** In the [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=3749 Pilot cast Live Panel]], Viv admits that Alastor is an "edgy, [=DeviantArt=] oc" that she made in high school, which makes him her oldest character created.
** According to the [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=183s Pilot Cast Panel]], we will see more Ars Goetia in both ''Hazbin Hotel'' and ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss''.
** On Husk:
*** Word of God has it that he can speak Italian, Russian, German, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
*** Word of God confirmed that Husk grew up in a casino, which may have had something to do with his gambling addiction.
*** Official sources state that Husk is good with children.
*** Official sources state he's in his sixties or seventies. [[note]] Incidentally, he also died ''in'' the 1970s.[[/note]]
*** Official sources have stated that Husk likes magic shows, can speak multiple languages fluently and is good with children.
** On Angel Dust:
*** It has been stated that due to his sexuality (among other things), his father preferred his brother. The fact that Angel Dust's promiscuity helped him earn celebrity status in hell causes his dad a lot of grief.
*** An official statement said he has a retractable penis.
** In an interview with Vivienne Medrano that released a few days following the season one finale, she confirmed that season two would focus more on the Vees than season one did and that Vox and Alastor's past would be revealed in that season.
** Before the series was picked up by Creator/{{A24}}, Vivienne already had the ideas and plot for the episodes "Overture" and "Masquerade" planned out.
** In an [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRxkD6NFVKE Interview]] with Creator/AmandaLee it was confirmed by Vivienne Medrano that season 2 will feature Sir Pentious' backstory and what actually got him into Hell.
* WorkingTitle: ''People Like Us.''
* WriteWhatYouKnow: According to Vivienne, Angel Dust and Valentino's destructive relationship is based on a previous toxic relationship she experienced. It's also implied that Angel's successful yet miserable life is a metaphor for how her fame became a double-edged sword, as she's now famous but also a target for many toxic, creepy fans.
* YouSoundFamiliar:
** Sir Pentious and Katie Killjoy are voiced by Creator/AlexBrightman and WebVideo/BrandonRogers respectively, who also appear as Fizzarolli and Blitzo on ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss''.
** Creator/MickLauer, who voiced Husk in the pilot, voices the Trenchcoat Demon in the series.
** Creator/JamesMonroeIglehart, who voices Zestial, voiced the Lizard Demon next to Zeezi in the pilot.
