* FakeNationality: An odd variation of this happens in the Latin American Spanish dub. The show was dubbed in Chile, but for some reason all characters speak with notable Mexican accents, up to including ''slang'' from that country. For an equivalent for English-speaking viewers, that would be similar if all the characters were voiced with actors from Scotland doing American accents.[[note]]The likely reason for this is that Chilean Spanish is considered one of the hardest dialects of the language to understand due to various quirks, as well as the speed of which it is often spoken.[[/note]]

* MeaningfulReleaseDate: Being a show which takes place in Hell, it makes sense that the pilot's release date on [=YouTube=] would be October 28, 2019, just three days before [[UsefulNotes/AllHallowsEve Halloween]]. It also happens to be Medrano's birthday.

** When a short, out-of-context clip of Angel being raped during the ''Poison'' music number leaked a week before the premiere and it was discovered that it was storyboarded by an artist with a rape fetish, along with allegations of elements from his fan works being put into the show, there was backlash with alleged claims that the show was fetishizing a serious subject matter, especially among SA survivors. * PermanentPlaceholder: The name of the character Lute is supposed to be short for "lieutenant" and was supposed to just be a placeholder name, but the name drew on Vivienne Medrano, so she kept Lute as the character's name.

* VoicedDifferentlyInTheDub: It's less a change to the voice itself and more one to the post-production processing of said voice, but in the original English track, Alastor's voice is given [[RadioVoice audible crackling]] akin to old American radios from the 1920s and 30s, befitting for somebody known as [[RedBaron the Radio Demon]] who died in 1933. The Japanese dub drops this vocal effect for the character, as Japanese radios from that time were less likely to have that level of audio distortion due to being built to different standards, meaning the joke wouldn't have translated quite as well.

** According to the [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=6360s Pilot cast Live Panel]], Heaven is going to have a more ethereal aesthetic with the more highly ranked angels having something of an alien motif as to reference to how strange and monstrous angels are described in the bible. She also mentions that heaven (and by that extension hell) will be [[https://youtu.be/y5ONxBZoR0A&t=183s represented by different mythologies]] instead of only the Christian religion. She doesn't want her characters to be directly connected to the Bible, with exceptions like Lilith and Lucifer.

** Unlike most other dubs, the European French dub called upon actors from the pilot and got several of them, the real French cast thus featuring reprisals from Maëva Trioux (Angel Dust), Mathilde Carmes (Niffty), Arno Capostagno (Sir Pentious), Gabriel Bonnaud (Egg Boiz), and Akim Belkheir (Tom Trench). The Canadian French dub, obviously, uses a brand-new cast.

* GodNeverSaidThat: Due to most of the information coming from WordOfGod instead of the actual series (since there isn't much to go off of outside of a pilot), it can be difficult to distinguish between {{fanon}} and actual comments from Vivienne. For instance, Vivienne said in a livestream that Alastor dislikes dogs due to them being involved in his death, which fans have interpreted as "Alastor was mauled to death by dogs".

* SleeperHit: ''And how.'' The [[Recap/HazbinHotelS1E0ThatsEntertainment pilot]] and "Music/{{Addict}}" alone brought Hazbin a fanbase on par with shows that had multiple seasons ''years before a single canon episode released''. The Addict music video alone was able to get over 165 million views in over four years after being released while the pilot managed to reach 100 million views five years after being released with the actual show helping it reach that number.
