* ApprovalOfGod:
** Tony gave praise to the animated videos of moments from the podcast, done by Micah Hirsh, at the beginning of WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1992 "Island of Fear" episode.
** Creator/GaryWolf, the original author of Literature/WhoCensoredRogerRabbit, shared Tony's episode of the WesternAnimation/RogerRabbitShorts on Facebook.
* CastTheExpert:
** This has happened on accident on a couple occasions. The Creator/ChristopherReeve episode of Series/TheMuppetShow was chosen on a week Ryan Hipp, a self-proclaimed DC superfan, appeared. The same happened when an episode of Series/Loki2021 was chosen when Brianna Garcia, arguably one of the biggest Loki fans on the planet who helped spearhead the Website/Tumblr popularity of the character in the early 2010s, appeared. That one was so egregious that Tony wasn't sure she was cheating, though Music/TheGreatLukeSki swore the random selection was genuine.
** The Guest's Choice episodes are potential catalysts for this. This was acknowledged when Tony said he was so happy about Morgan Funder's guest choice because it meant talking to the world's only Film/TheCatFromOuterSpace stan.
** Intentionally done once when Tony invited Kevin Perjurer of WebVideo/Defunctland during an episode of Muppet Month. Kevin is a Muppet superfan and a Jim Henson expert, who created a six-part documentary series about his work.
** The episode about Series/EarthToNed features one of that show's puppeteers, Grant Baciocco.
** Stephen Anderson, the director of WesternAnimation/MeetTheRobinsons, was on the first episode of What Would Walt Have Done? Month and has written a book about this era of Disney.Commonly referred to as the Disney's Dark Age.

* DeletedScene: Tony has admitted that he edits the podcast somewhat out of order, meaning that there are likely fragments of conversation removed from most episodes:
** One that was revealed in the Country Bears episode was that all four people saying "Oh no! Country Bear Hall has been crushed!" was not spontaneous, but rather everyone recorded their own attempt at saying the line.
** The podcast on the Christopher Reeve episode of Series/TheMuppetShow contains a lengthy one in the form of a discussion of Disney-owned Muppet material that is not on Disney+. It was released as a separate bonus episode a week later.
** The episode on Film/MuppetsHauntedMansion had more than double the audio recorded than what was seen in the final product, which Tony chalks up as the result of putting the three most talkative people he knows in the same episode. This includes a twenty minute segment where Tony's internet went out and the conversation among the remaining three guests completely deviates to tangents about WesternAnimation/TheGoodDinosaur and WesternAnimation/Gumby.
** The Film/ANewHope episode had a number of deleted scenes as Tony cut out content that he felt may be Leaning on the Fourth Wall a little too much or people were Corpsing.
* DistancedFromCurrentEvents: Tony delayed the March 16th, 2022 episode discussing Film/PiratesOfTheCaribbeanTheCurseOfTheBlackPearl by a week in solidarity with the [=#DisneyDoBetter=] protests starting one day before the original release date, which protested Disney's response to the controversial Florida "Don't Say Gay" bill. He felt that, since his show tacitly promotes Disney-made products, it would be hypocritical and insensitive if he released an episode of the show while the walkouts were happening.
* EngineeredHashtag: In the preview videos the show puts on Twitter to promote podcast episodes, there is a hashtag meant to accomplish this that flashes on the bottom of the screen, usually referring to an absurd joke in the episode.
* PromotedFanboy:
** A frequent Twitter replier to the podcast's and Tony Goldmark's Twitter, Agatha Vile, is this. She appeared in the episode on Unidentified Flying Oddball where Agatha Vile is said to be the great-granddaughter of the Dr. Vile from the fan-favorite WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1992 episode. She has appeared in a few episodes after this as well, still in-character.
** One of Tony's biggest fans, Rob Bergman, who previously was the winning submission in a WebVideo/SomeJerkWithACamera video contest and also requested WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaid1992 episode mentioned above for the podcast, became a guest in the episode discussing WesternAnimation/Bluey.
* RealSongThemeTune: "Walt Disney and You" debuted in a ubiquitous promo for 1980s Walt Disney Home Video VHS tapes before Tony repurposed it for his podcast. The "State of the Parks" theme comes from Tony's cover of Music/TheGreatLukeSki's "You Don't Know Jack".
* ScheduleSlip: Considering that this once-a-week podcast, with episodes usually ranging from 40 minutes to over an hour, is a one man production, this unsurprisingly happens frequently. Episodes will have one or two day delay from the intended release date on a somewhat regular basis. In 2021, this became such a problem that he took the entirety of June off, only releasing mini-sodes, just so he could properly edit his episode backlog without slipping further. Beginning in late 2022 or early 2023, delays in between episodes could go on for multiple weeks, although the intro (sometimes including an apology from Tony) and ending still treat a weekly schedule as the norm.
* UncreditedRole: The person playing Carl Featherbottom/Santa in the Christmas episodes, Sam The Eagle in the one Muppet episode, and Dracula in the WesternAnimation/SpiderManAndHisAmazingFriends episode, is this, with not even links listed in the episodes' description. They were confirmed to all be played by the same person when Luke quiped about it in the Spider-Man episode. It was later confirmed to be played by Garrett Smith of Wonder Park episode of One Movie Later during the end of the Arendelle Castle Yule Log: Cut Paper Edition episode.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** In the crossover with Mystery Shack Lookback, David Ganssel revealed that his Guest's Choice was actually going to be the WesternAnimation/GravityFalls episode "Dungeons, Dungeons And More Dungeons", but ultimately decided to come up with something else after appearing on this podcast to discuss it.
** In the bonus minisode of bloopers from their Film/ANewHope review, Luke reveals that the premise was originally planned as an AprilFoolsDay episode if listeners had voted for March to be Star Wars Month.
* WorkingTitle: Original title possibilities included Disney Minusrejected for being too negative and Once Upon a Streamalready taken by a Disney+ podcast starting at around the same time.
