1	* ActingInTheDark: Auditioned for August knowing only what was in the script for "True North". The creators reportedly tried to keep August's true identity a secret from him for ages. 2	* ActorAllusion: Guest starred in an episode of ''Series/LawAndOrder'' playing a war veteran.
3	* ActorSharedBackground: He was a writer in his youth like the real David Kenyon Webster. Technically subverted with August, as he isn't actually a writer - just pretending to be.
4	* BillingDisplacement: Of a sort. He was listed in the main titles for the second half of ''Series/OnceUponATime'' season 1, although he was absent from three episodes and had only small scenes in a few others.

6	** Shaved his head on-screen for a scene in ''Film/FightClub''.
7	** Participated in a gruelling ten-day boot camp to prepare for ''Series/BandOfBrothers''.
