* {{Blooper}}: Sa'Luk's clawed knuckleduster, which he always wears on his left hand, randomly disappears in several shots, particularly during his "Are You In Or Out?" musical number.
* TheCastShowOff: Creator/JerryOrbach, best known for voicing [[WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast Lumiere]], gets to sing a VillainSong as Sa'Luk.
* GodNeverSaidThat: There was a long-standing rumor that Mozenrath was originally going to be the main antagonist of the film and possibly even revealed to be Aladdin’s brother. However in 2017 [[WordOfGod the director of the film Tad Stones confirmed on Twitter]] [[https://twitter.com/TadStones/status/936008915187261440 that neither of these plotlines were ever considered for the film]], [[https://twitter.com/TadStones/status/936115496314855430 and that the rumors were simply fan speculation.]]
* KidsMealToy: UsefulNotes/McDonalds had different Happy Meal toys depending on the region;
** In the US, it had a set of eight figures and backdrops in the US; Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, Iago, Cassim, Sa'luk, and two different figures of Genie.
** Europe had half of the figures from the American promotion; Aladdin, Abu, Iago, and Maitre'D Genie.
** Australia had a set of four race cars featuring Aladdin, Cassim, Genie, and Jasmine.
* MoneyDearBoy: One of the two reasons that Robin Williams agreed to reprise the role of the Genie, the other being that Disney formally apologized to him for violating their agreement with him to not heavily feature him in the marketing for the first film. In contrast to the first film, where he accepted union rate pay, he received $1 million for this one.
* MissingTrailerScene: Several from the original VHS trailers:
** Originally, Genie's foreman getup was more muscular than in the film.
** Iago says the line of "Doesn't get any bigger than that!" Nowhere in the film does he say this. It is possible that he could have said this line when Cassim mentions the Hand of Midas for the first time, calling it "The Big One".
** Footage of Robin Williams is present of him recording "It's a kinder, gentler Genie! Look at this!"
** Aladdin is shown with a bloodstain on his left sleeve during clips of the "Welcome to the Forty Thieves" sequence. Originally, there was going to be a bit of blood shown from the Challenge when Sa'luk slashes Aladdin's arm. A dark shadow resembling blood can briefly be seen on Aladdin's arm after he is injured in the final film.
** The thieves are shown congregating outside against a dusky background, compared to congregating within the stable.
** The same trailer has an instance of RecycledTrailerMusic using a snippet of "Jafar's Hour" from the original movie.
** Several shots are shown with Genie having the same design as the ''Aladdin'' TV series. Dan Castellenata was meant to reprise his role before Disney decided to reach out to Robin Williams again.
** A coloring book released around the time of the film shows Genie as a rocker, something that does not happen while he is trying to cheer Jasmine up.
* NonSingingVoice: Once again Brad Kane and Liz Callaway respectively fill in for Creator/ScottWeinger and Creator/LindaLarkin as Aladdin and Jasmine's singing voices. In addition, Merwyn Foard fills in for John Rhys-Davies as Cassim's singing voice.
* TheOriginalDarrin: After being replaced by Creator/DanCastellaneta for the TV series and the first sequel, Robin Williams returns to voice the Genie here. This film was Williams' only true reprise of the Genie character (aside from the "Great Minds Think For Themselves" segments Disney made for ''Creator/{{One Saturday Morning|And ABC Kids}}'' a couple years later).
* TheOtherMarty: Dan Castellenata was meant to reprise his role of Genie from the series and the first sequel, but Disney made amends with Robin Williams to reprise his role, and dubbed over Dan's dialogue (which were re-animated to fit Williams' style).
* ThrowItIn: Robin Williams improvised the entire scene of Genie trying to cheer Jasmine up while Aladdin is away.
