* ApprovalOfGod:
** When Adam got to interview Creator/CharlieKaufman (alongside co-director Duke Johnson) around the release of ''WesternAnimation/{{Anomalisa}}'', Kaufman stated that he had seen and was extremely impressed by Adam's unfinished analysis of ''Film/SynecdocheNewYork'', even echoing [[MemeticMutation his entire fanbase]] in wishing for the series to continue.
** The director of ''Film/Shazam2019'' [[https://twitter.com/ponysmasher/status/1114987202016972800 was happy that Adam enjoyed the film]].
** Meta examples: Adam has co-signed several fan-run accounts.
*** He has given multiple shout-outs to the [[https://www.youtube.com/c/YMSHighlights YMS Highlights]] channel, which consists of excerpts from recent livestreams that people can watch to see what he's up to, and is friends with the person who runs the channel.
*** His [[https://letterboxd.com/yms/ Letterboxd account]] has a bio in which he admits that he doesn't use the site, instead redirecting people to [[https://letterboxd.com/ymsunoffical an unofficial account]] that updates every time he logs a film on [=IMDb=].[[note]]He formerly endorsed another account with the URL handle "ymsunofficial", but he rescinded this gesture and publicly endorsed "ymsunoffical" after controversy ensued from "ymsunofficial" insulting him while logging his scores; this original account has since been taken down.[[/note]]
* ColbertBump:
** Gave one to the now-infamous ''[[Film/CoolCatSavesTheKids Cool Cat]]'' series, to the point where he even inspired the creator to recut the first film.
*** Can also be considered an ApprovalOfGod, as Savage himself commented on the video and liked the criticisms and thanked Adam for buying his DVD. His only complaints were on how Adam made Cool Cat look like a pedophile. (However, this was before Savage went on a militant streak against other [=YouTubers=] for criticizing his film, so his earlier approval probably doesn't count for much anymore.)
** Let's be honest: he (and WebVideo/RedLetterMedia) ''helped'' garner Creator/NeilBreen a larger cult fanbase for his SoBadItsGood movies.
** His video debunking the arguments stating that ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994'' was plagiarized from ''Manga/KimbaTheWhiteLion'' gave a LOT of people their first proper exposure to what the ''Kimba'' series actually was. This case is especially notable, as Adam points out at several points in the video that the majority of the arguments he found about ''Kimba'' were made by people who had never even seen ''Kimba'' media and were going off of the word of other people who were going off of the words of others to the point that most people just assumed ''Kimba'' was a singular animated feature rather than [[LongRunners a decades-long series of anime, feature films and manga]].
* MagnumOpusDissonance: His multi-part review of ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing2019'' is an ongoing project that is one of Adam's most passionate works. While the first part of the ''Lion King (2019)'' review has reached millions of views, his video debunking the claim that ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994'' is a ripoff of ''Manga/KimbaTheWhiteLion'', which was originally going to just be a brief segment in the ''Lion King (2019)'' review before growing into its own separate video as Adam dug deeper into the controversy and discovered just how wrong the accusations were, quickly rose in popularity until eventually becoming his most popular video (even overtaking the first part of his ''Film/CoolCatSavesTheKids'' review).
* ScheduleSlip:
** His long-form analysis of ''Film/SynecdocheNewYork'' last updated with a fifth part, and there hasn't been another part for several years. Aside from the legendary status a hypothetical sixth part has now gained among his fans, '''Charlie Kaufman himself''' said he was waiting for additional parts when Adam interviewed him for the release of ''WesternAnimation/{{Anomalisa}}''. Adam later clarified that he is purposely delaying the next part to work on other projects.
** The debut full-length album of An Unkindness was in the works for quite some time, with many release dates coming and going. He did manage to ultimately subvert this, as the album saw release in September 2020.
** His review of ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing2019'' has been constantly pushed back due to the amount of material he kept finding. He's cited in livestreams that one of the big factors was the amount of research he ended up doing on ''Manga/KimbaTheWhiteLion''; he had originally wanted to make a throwaway Kimba joke in the review, but quickly discovered how ''wrong'' the CommonKnowledge was of the same and ended up making a video almost two-and-a-half hours in length just to debunk any claims about it.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** In a livestream, Adam explained he was approached to compose the music for ''WesternAnimation/HazbinHotel'', but was too busy and couldn't commit to the project. He notes that he feels the music choices in the finished pilot were fantastic and that his version would have been much different.
** The ''Manga/KimbaTheWhiteLion'' video was originally a throwaway gag in the ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing2019'' video, but he found so much of the CommonKnowledge regarding accusations of ''The Lion King'' being a ripoff to be so utterly wrong that he made a separate video to address everything. Additionally, Adam stated on a livestream that he originally expected the video to be about 20 minutes when he spun it off into its own video. Due to Adam falling down the Kimba rabbit hole, it ended up becoming over 2 hours, and he still left stuff out. [[note]] Most notably, he was unable to get a copy of the interview where Fred Patten, one of the most influential early advocates of the notion that Kimba ripped off The Lion King, backtracks on claims of similarities. Adam was forced to review this interview after the video was released. [[/note]]
* WhyFandomCantHaveNiceThings: Adam has stated this to be a reason why he hasn't updated his ''Film/SynecdocheNewYork'' series. He wants to work on other projects between videos, and so anytime someone asks about his video series, Adam flat-out states he is purposely going to delay the series just because he gets asked it so often.
