! General Trivia
* ''Super Robot Wars T'' is, by dint of serendipity, the closest the franchise has come to having (nearly) every property involved being licensed for sale in North America prior to release since ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsW'' back in 2007. In fact, some of these were on the nose: ''Anime/ArmoredTrooperVOTOMS'' was picked up for licensing by Creator/{{HIDIVE}} roughly four months prior to the announcement of ''Terra'', while Creator/DiscotekMedia brought over the specific version of ''Manga/CaptainHarlock'' for this game in May 2017. The only properties not licensed for distribution by the time of release were ''Anime/TheBraveExpressMightGaine'' and ''Invincible Robo Tryder G7'' ("Trider G7", however, did get a release in Italy during the [=1980s=]). ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30'' had more previously-unlicensed works in it (since ''Anime/GaoGaiGarFinal'' and ''Literature/KingOfKingsGaogaigarVSBetterman'' remained unlicensed at the time of the release of ''30'', as was ''Anime/BravePoliceJDecker'').
* The standard version of the game does not contain any music from ''Anime/ExpelledFromParadise'', with Angela Balzac's {{Leitmotif}} defaulting to a game-original tune titled "[[https://youtu.be/q13EY2dmDs0 DIGITAL DEADLINE]]". This marks one of the very few instances in which ''Super Robot Wars'' creates a song to serve as the battle theme of a licensed series. Oddly, "Eonian", the actual theme of ''Expelled From Paradise'', appears exclusively in the [[LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition Premium Sound]] version of the game.
* ''T'' is the video game debut for the characters from the second season of ''Manga/MagicKnightRayearth''; up until this title, all video games involving ''Rayearth'' only covered the first season.
* ''Super Robot Wars T'' marks [[SwanSong the final vocal performance]] for Creator/MakioInoue, who returned to portray Manga/CaptainHarlock, in any medium. Once voice-over production was finished, Inoue permanently retired until his death on November 29, 2019.
* As of 2020, ''T'' is [[https://www.dualshockers.com/super-robot-wars-t-highest-overseas-sales-demo/ the highest-selling product in franchise history outside of Japan]].

* ActingForTwo:
** An inevitability with Creator/NobuyukiHiyama as he voices the protagonists of ''Might Gaine'' and ''[[Anime/{{GaoGaiGar}} The King of Braves GaoGaiGar]]''. The two not only have Support Attack/Defend quotes for each other, but also a shared "Save/Quit" skit.
** Likewise, Creator/ShigeruNakahara for ''Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine'' due to a mixture of [[spoiler:{{Reincarnation}} and MyFutureSelfAndMe]] for Show Zama and Shion Zaba.
** Creator/KoichiYamadera pulls quadruple duty as [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Gyunei Guss]], [[Anime/MartianSuccessorNadesico Hokushin]], Spike Spiegel, and Tochiro Oyama; %%on the same page, Creator/NorioWakamoto with [[Anime/GunBuster Koichiro Ota]], [[Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine Allen Brady]], and [[Anime/CowboyBebop Vicious]].
** Once again, Creator/HochuOtsuka gets to do double duty with ''Franchise/{{Gundam}}'' characters [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam Yazan Gable]] and [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Chibodee Crocket]], as will Creator/KappeiYamaguchi for [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Sai Saici]] and [[Manga/MobileSuitCrossboneGundam Tobia Arronax]].
** Creator/MariaKawamura reprises her roles as [[Anime/GunBuster Jung Freud]], [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Quess Paraya]] and [[Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine Cham Huau]].
** Creator/ToruFuruya is doing double duty as [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Amuro Ray]] and Mr. Zone.
** Creator/MegumiOgata finally could get to talk to herself via [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Eagle Vision and Emeraude]], since Eagle got an AdaptationalEarlyAppearance and appearing before Emeraude bit the dust, and could even fight her.
** Creator/KonamiYoshida ends up having to pull a double-duty with both [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth Umi Ryuuzaki]] and [[Anime/GaoGaiGar the female half of the Z-Master]] (she actually had more roles in the latter, but only that part was voiced here).
** In the Expansion Pack, due to voicing originals in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV'', Creator/UmekaShoji gets to do this trope as a heroine (Sagiri) and as a villain ([[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV Jamie]]).
* ColbertBump:
** Despite receiving a fairly lavish English localization (including a limited theatrical release across the United States by Creator/AniplexUSA), ''Anime/ExpelledFromParadise'' flew under the radar for many people outside of Japan in 2014. Its announcement for ''T'' has stirred renewed interest in it.
** {{Downplayed|Trope}} with ''Anime/CowboyBebop'', ''Manga/MagicKnightRayearth'' and ''Arcadia of my Youth'': none of them were unpopular (though ''Arcadia'', in particular, was perhaps rather obscure by the time of announcement, especially to recent generations of Anglophone anime fans), but after their respective runs and some old SpinOff video games, they didn't get any new, substantial media entries in the [=2000s=] and early [=2010s=], staying as {{Cult Classic}}s, but their announcement in ''T'' re-started interest[[note]]In the case of ''Cowboy Bebop'', it gets further bumped thanks to Creator/{{Netflix}} announcing [[Series/CowboyBebop2021 a live-action adaptation]] shortly after its inclusion for this game was revealed[[/note]].
* CreatorCameo: Similarly with ''X'' and Creator/YoshiyukiTomino, during the stage featuring ''Anime/MazingerZInfinity'', [[https://youtu.be/--wi3D-f0Cs?t=1629 moving Kouji to a certain spot]] will make him meet a SuperDeformed "Sensei" who is implied to be the in-game avatar of Creator/GoNagai.
* DescendedCreator: Hidetaka Tenjin, the mecha designer for the Tyranado, voices Hirosuke Amasaki.
* DiedDuringProduction:
** Among the main supporting cast of ''[[Manga/CaptainHarlock Arcadia of my Youth - Endless Orbit SSX]]'' are Creator/KeiTomiyama (Tochiro Oyama) and Creator/HiromiTsuru (Revi), both of whom had passed away by the time voice recordings began. While Tochiro does appear, with Creator/KoichiYamadera taking Tomiyama's place, Revi does not have any voiced lines, only appearing in cut-scenes.
** A year before the game was announced, voice actor Tamio Ohki ([[Anime/{{Gunbuster}} Captain Tashiro Tatsumi]]) passed away; as such, Tashiro is AdaptedOut.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Creator/UnshoIshizuka had only recorded lines for [[Anime/CowboyBebop Jet Black]] before passing, thus [[Anime/MazingerZInfinity Dr. Hell]] is voiced by Atsuki Tani in this game.
** Creator/BinShimada takes over the role of [[Anime/GunXSword Carlos]] from the late Takashi Taguchi.
** Jiro Saitou replaces the late Creator/KazuyukiSogabe as [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Lyle, captain of the Rewloola]].
** For some reason, [[Anime/GunXSword Gadved]], originally voiced by Kazuhiko Kishino, is now voiced by Shinpachi Tsuji.
** This is the first time that Creator/KenNarita replaces Creator/HirotakaSuzuoki as [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Bright Noa]] despite ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn'' not being listed in the series roster.
* PlayingAgainstType: The resume for Creator/MaiAizawa in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' consists of [[TokenMiniMoe cute, little girls]] (or, at least, very youthful), such as [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ Mel Beater]] and [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Azuki Sawa]]. Meryl Spanna, on the other hand, is an older, cool-headed lady.
* PosthumousCredit:
** Creator/KoujiTsujitani passed away a month before the debut trailer was released. Regardless, [[Manga/MobileSuitCrossboneGundam Kincade Nau]] is still playable, [[https://www.siliconera.com/2019/01/28/super-robot-wars-ts-second-english-subbed-trailer-charges-in-at-full-speed/ using lines recorded from previous games]].
** Creator/UnshoIshizuka passed away months before the game's announcement. However, he managed to record the lines necessary for [[Anime/CowboyBebop Jet Black]] in one of Spike's Bebop Formation attacks before passing away.
** Umemaro Kakikouji is voiced by the pre-recorded voice of Creator/IchiroNagai, who passed away in 2014.
* PreOrderBonus: Like ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsX'', pre-ordering ''T'' allowed players to unlock the Gespenst and the {{Deuteragonist}} as a pilot earlier in a play-through. For those who bought the UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch Southeast Asia version, said content is now a day one game update patch, allowing Switch users to enjoy it too (to be fair, Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment made this workaround due to a lack of a Nintendo eShop for the Southeast Asia region).
* PromotedFanboy: Making her third appearance, Christina Rose, who previously worked on the FanTranslation for ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden]]'' and the English versions of ''V'' and ''X'', returns as the lead translator for this game's localization.
* RecastAsARegular: Both Creator/TakeshiKusao and Creator/UmekaShoji played supporting characters in previous games before getting cast as protagonists Saizo and Sagiri.
* RoleReprise:
** As the game specifically uses ''Endless Orbit SSX'', Creator/MakioInoue (the first voice actor for Captain Harlock) returns for this game, [[HesBack coming out of his stated "retirement from the role" for that]]. Despite the gap between his last Harlock role being around 40 years, Inoue is noted to [[StillGotIt sound just like how he was in the past despite his current age]].
** From the same entry, in a case that overlaps with TheOtherDarrin, Tochiro Oyama's lines for the game are provided by Creator/KoichiYamadera, who previously voiced him in the mini-series ''Harlock Saga'' and ''Manga/QueenEmeraldas'' OriginalVideoAnimation.
** [[Manga/MagicKnightRayearth The Magic Knights]]' original voice actors return in full and [[StillGotIt still sound like they were before]]. This is taking into account after UsefulNotes/TheNineties, it became rare to hear from Creator/KonamiYoshida and Creator/HirokoKasahara (Umi Ryuuzaki and Fuu Hououji, respectively), whereas Creator/HekiruShiina (Hikaru) was more active in UsefulNotes/TheNewTens, such as ''VisualNovel/DanganRonpaTriggerHappyHavoc''. Additionally, veteran voice actress Atsuko Takahata returns for her [[EvilIsHammy hammy]] EvilLaugh-ladden role of [[BigBad Lady Debonair]].
** Creator/ShigeruNakahara and Creator/ShowHayami return to portray Shion Zaba and Rabaan Zaramand for the first time since ''New Story of Anime/AuraBattlerDunbine'' was released, over ''30 years ago''.
* SwanSong: By all means, Creator/MakioInoue has considerably aged and wouldn't be quite active in voice acting anymore. But, considering his own contributions and the prestige of the ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' series, he agreed to [[RoleReprise reprise Captain Harlock]] despite his age, [[StillGotIt showing a goddamn good job]], and finally retired for good, his death following soon after. It was a 'now or never' situation, if he didn't accept the job, then he'd never be able to lend his voice for Captain Harlock in a series he's been quite heavily involved with.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: According to ''Super Robot Wars'' series producer Takenobu Terada, the original 1978 ''[[Manga/CaptainHarlock Space Pirate Captain Harlock]]'' was considered, but ''T'' producer Shouhei Mogami wanted ''Arcadia of my Youth''. The team eventually settled on the latter as the titular ''Arcadia'' battleship is more recognizable by fans due to its green color, including TheCameo in ''Manga/GalaxyExpress999''.
